I will admit I was worried this show wasn’t coming back. It’s my favorite part of the BCU and I’m happy to see Rick chose to continue on with this show.
Same, I'm always worried when one of their shows goes on hiatus for that long. Remember how fast they sacked Sohla's show? lol
I didn't realize that this show was going off a "season" model and just assumed it had ended when I didn't see any more episodes. I'm so glad that was not the case as I really enjoy just how different this show is from anything else on the channel.
Seeing this show brings such a great and proud feeling to be mexicano! Rick and the crew really capture the culture, spirit, and love we give one another!

This was great! I love Mexican food! It looks like a simple dish but it’s so complex. There’s no substitutes for these flavor profiles either. Soooo delicious!!!!

We use a similar dough lining to seal biryani here in india. Sometimes I am amazed how similar mexican and indian cuisines are. It's like they are long lost cousins.
You know what's so funny, I was wondering literally just yesterday where this series went. As someone stranded in a midwestern United States cultural *wasteland*, I really do love the diverse, explorative, real-world feel this show brings to the BCU. Finding places run by real humans with actual taste buds preparing food that they actually endorse, and learning how to bring that and the culture home, makes it feel genuinely kind of... 'enriching', in a sense. I love it. It's so welcoming.

I just made this last night, and wow, the flavor is soooo incredible. For those worried about the spice, the heat will come from the salsa you put on it, not so much from the chilis in the marinade.
So marvelous to see this show return! Looking forward to seeing all of Rick's adventures this season.

When i think of barbacoa, i thought of building an oven in the ground and maguey leaves but this will bring it inside with less mess and leftovers but all the flavor. Glad to see the show come back and can't wait for more ❤
It's a weird thing to pick out, but I love all the little flourishes with the text and pop-outs with more information as you're talking. I'll never make any of the stuff on _Pruébalo_ since I don't eat meat, but it's still really entertaining to watch!

Yay, Pruebalo returns! And I love how Rick's nails match his shoes! Gringas are what most Americans would recognize as a quesadilla, because it's how most of Northern Mexico makes them. One thing I have always found fascinating is that quesadillas in Mexico City do not necessarily come with cheese, and nobody knows why that particular quirk came about.
Really glad that season 2 of this awesome show is here!
