Just got back and wish I was still there. The Palace is beautiful but quiet. Mostly older couples. The Montego Bay next door is for families with small children and has a lot going on/ small 2nd floor casino...while the Reggae is definitely for singles and they have a lot of pool activities and the Jerk Hut on the beach opens at noon.
how long does it take to walk to the jerk hut from palace?

I will be arriving in Dec 2020 with my adult grandson. I have booked the junior suite but I would like to know if that king bed separates for our sleeping accommodation or should I get look room with double or queen accommodations, ocean-view is my choice

I am getting conflicting information about a security deposit upon checking in. Can someone tell me if you had to pay a deposit? IF so, how much did they require to place on hold?

Please consult your Travel Agent to ensure that the information regarding your trip to Jamaica is up to date. The video was filmed in 2017, however, many things may have changed since then. During our stay at the RIU Reggae, and toured the RIU Palace!
If its an adult place why is my dad taking me there when I'm a kid
Hello! Thanks for watching. Minimum check-in age at RIU Palace is 18 years old during the months of June through February. Minimum check-in age is 21 years old during the months of March, April, and May (Spring Break). At the time of the video, RIU Montego Bay next door to Palace and two doors down from Reggae accommodated groups and families under the age of 18 years old.

@@tashm562 the service was horrible. I had to keep asking for extra towels, blankets,water etc .. One pool was closed the whole time that I was there. (10 days ) The food wasn't good. The beach was very Rocky. There was a group of people there for 5 days. They were screaming from the balconies all hours of the night. I informed the front desk but they did nothing about it. I repeatedly told the front desk but they just yes`d me. I've been to other RIU properties in Jamaica and never had that problem. Just a really bad resort in my opinion!
