Initially I cringed at 'another beginner witch video' 🙄there's so many videos, live streams, books, podcasts and online sources already. However, and sincerely, great topics covered in your video and well said. I'm impressed! Thank you for not rehashing the same thing over again that's already out there. Well done!
@@TheNorseWitchI agree with he above comment!! Fully agree! Refreshing and insightful for the beginner, and possibly for many of the seasoned. Well done!
Here's my tip! I've consumed a LOT of beginner witch content, and I wish that ANY of them had said this: When magick practitioners talk about 'energy' or a 'vibration', they mean a mental/emotional/subtle-plane feeling. They DON'T mean something externally measurable like electricity. I was hung up on this misunderstanding for YEARS!
I understand what you're saying but this energy is measurable, or rather its effects in the body are. Whenever I do clearing or energy raising I always feel tingles along my spine, and my hands get warm when I'm doing energy work. Those are measurable things.but energy work works differently in different bodies so it's not universal. But brain state changes, and action potentials along the nervous system are definitely measurable. We would have no ability to influence the physical if there were not someway that the energy of the ethereal couples to the physical.
Eight years into my practice and I still don't have a label for myself past "witch". One of my biggest tips is to look in your kitchen/spice cabinet before running to the metaphysical/spiritual store. Going off that - buy at the grocery store; it's normally FAR cheaper. I lived near Salem, MA for almost a decade, and I can't tell you how many people think they NEED to buy ingredients in Salem. Cinnamon sticks are cinnamon sticks. Table salt can be programmed into witch's salt. It doesn't need to be labeled "magickal" to work
“don’t listen to people making up rules about magical practices” I’d suggest not joining witch groups. I’ve been practicing for almost 17 years and only recently in the past 3 years started opening my path a bit wider and looking to educate myself on practices I’ve not worked with before. Apparently most groups I’ve joined think you’re not a witch is you don’t work with crystals and astrology. I had so many young adults and teenagers attacking me when I shared some of my daily practices calling the items I used in rituals “muddy objects” because I used things from the woods and the river or garden grown. 😂 dont feed into negative comments and opinions and just love YOUR work, how ever it is that YOU work. ❤
I’m not a beginner witch (practicing for about 9 years in) however, I love coming to beginner witch videos when I’m coming out of a rut. I have not been able to actively practice in MONTHS, this resparked me thank you! It’s so freeing to let yourself be a beginner again 🖤
this tip is coming from a baby witch herself, if you have 50/50 support from your family or friends. about your practice, do not give up your practice. everyone comes from different walks of life, family or not. there allowed to have their practices, and your allowed to have yours. just be respectful about it and have conversations without belittling each other. it's okay as adults to agree and or disagree with family or friends. if it is not safe to be out in the open than don't, you can only asset your situation and go from there. I would say that if the other person cannot be respectful towards you than either drop the conversation or don't speak to the person. family or not. always set firm boundaries and then move on and be happy :)
Totally agreed! Also don’t think you have to tell everyone. Sometimes it’s far less stress to just don’t bring the topic up. I go by that at work for example because I know how badly people would react. And it’s simply not worth my energy ☺️
@TheNorseWitch that is also true! You never have to bring it up :) I unfortunately did, so it's coming from experience too, and to be like hey, don't pull a me lol. Lucky the conversation went well but I logged off of my fb to clear that enegry up. Now I will just keep everything to myself :).
One of my tips is go with your own about consumerism. Don’t spend your money on things if you absolutely need it and one of my pet peeves is people praying on that so just be careful. Also don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty through trial and error
I'm so glad you mentioned Hutton. I took a class on witchcraft at my college from a witchcraft historian and they heavily encouraged us to read Hutton as he is kind of like THE witchcraft scholar. We read his book The Witch in that class and he is a fantastic researcher
Dunno if it's mentioned elsewhere in the comments but the Gresham College UA-cam channel has a ton of his lectures and they are fascinating. they just posted his "what is modern paganism?" lecture two days ago. It's next up on my watching list.
Excellent advice as always! I'll add a little of my own perspective, as someone who likes shiny things I was always dazzled by the fancy stuff at shops or online and yes buying such things can certainly help to build up your, tool kit, lets say. With time however it has become clear to me that there are simply more ways to work Will than any specific set of rules or tools can accurately cover. Whats more I believe the particular way each individual works with the spirit can have profound but easily overlooked influence on ones practice and overall success. So perhaps if one were looking for a wand and had a natural talent with the sense of touch, they could buy several perfect looking wands and find something lacking... Then one day you're taking out the garbage, you pick up a broken broom handle and something clicks, something about the weight, the texture, the way the moonlight catches in the flaking lacquer, it seems absurd but somehow your wand got stuck in an old bit of junk! You could deny this absurdity and finish taking out the trash but you could also take a moment to clean off the old broomstick, sand down the splinters and oil the wood til it shines properly again. Haha, why is this making me tear up? I swear I'm such a trash wizard..... But it works for me and my collection of wands, staves and talismans are as powerful as any other I've encountered. Understanding my own "rules", ethics you could say, has been key to my spiritual success, I know now that my own desire to give aid to the lost and abandoned and show gratitude to the unappreciated has created something of an emotional wellspring inside of me, sometimes it really feels like I, really we, can do the impossible.
I first started to explore the witchcraft scene when i was in the 7th grade and im 25 now i consider myself an amature witch my biggest advice for people starting out is that it is okay to take breaks from your practice it does not make you any less of a witch or spiritual person just because you let that part of you take a back seat for awhile your intentions and passion for the craft can still be present in everyday and mundane choices not every aspect *needs* to be as magical and mystical as everyone thinks there is absolutely no way i can tell anyone that ive been practicing for 11+ years without stopping also its okay if you arent comferable using the term witch or witchcraft i attend a christian University and i tell everyone there i am a practicing spiritualist and most people dont question beyond thay explanation lastly get in touch with your local witch community! Ask around at shops or look for "pagan night/day out" events if you are able to attend do not be scared to find your people!
Also another amazing video! I appreciate the tip about identifying which clairsense (I think I spelled that correctly lol) works best for the individual I'm still working on that myself I definitely wish UA-cam had this type of content when I was first starting lol I had only a few wicca books in my school library but I always knew I didn't want to follow that path I quickly defaulted into paganism and now I am confidentially practicing Norse paganism myself. Thank you for all of your work and effort that goes into these videos as they have truly helped me become more comfortable and secure in my beliefs and abilities! 💖
I love how you included the tip to not go buy a bunch of things! I am many years into my practice and my alter is still a bag of five small rocks that I can set up anywhere, and my workings consist of ingredients I find wherever I am working. No fancy setup or tools needed! I feel like adding things will actually make it harder for me to practice. For beginners starting out, you don’t need to buy anything, you can accumulate over time if you want but you may find you don’t need to!
Real and honest information for the first time witch and so truly helpful for those new to the practice! It always makes me laugh when practitioners fear-monger young practitioners to not do any spells or practice anything until they've done years of research. Really, what young practitioner is going to wait? Zero. So your information provided them with safe, grounded tools. Unique and truly helpful! Great job!
I'd like to share a quote from a polish poem that I love in regards to my practice, just sth that reminds me that you don't have to look far or think "exotic": Cudze chwalicie, swego nie znacie Roughly translated: You praise the unknown, you don't even know what you own (P.S. Love your videos❤)
Triumph of the Moon is on my to-read list for sure, I've liked Ronald Hutton ever since seeing him make appearances on some BBC shows. I've read the Witch and yes it was very academic but it's what he does and I appreciated the info. Looking forward to reading Triumph.
Phsyic witch thing here: im mostly a like "sensing a a shift in energy" person and then I go to divination. But I am also developing this ability where I close my eyes and meditate and the spirit I'm working with shows me things. I think I need to work on working through my own energy vs theirs. Cuz I keep seeing the same things, which I think might be me. But yeah 👍🏻
Would you be interested and willing to do a video about closed practice, which practices are closed, about cultural appropriation and gate keeping? I for example grow up with dream catchers, as a German, and now I hear that it is cultural appropriation. I would like to learn more. Or do you have video recommendations about that topic?
This is great. Especially the point about crystals and candles. I use stones I collect in nature on walks, and tea-lights. Oh my, Loki loves the tea-lights, he melts them 😂. Great video. Thankyou ❤
these are in your video already i guess, but "make educated decisions" is a very important one. learn early why things are used (correspondences/reason to include it in a spell) and then decide if that works for you and also to be confident in when things don't work. also i would say put quality over quantity. if you try a spell, make sure you actually benefit from it. i remember times when people said "practice everyday" but in my opinion, if your heart isn't in it, it's not worth the energy. but i guess that is also why i wouldn't identify as a witch. i dabble, but i don't need to work that many spells in my life.
Very helpful video. Ive been dabbling here and there for several years but over cheistmas decided to study paganism/wicca etc and become involved in witchcraft. The more i read the more i haveen worrying that i should find my exact path before practising. Very happy to hear its ok to not put myself in a box just yet!
I wish I had this video when I started. Learning to overcome fear mongering was so difficult. Especially now I work with darker spirits and entities. I had to be aware of fear mongering, not only from inside the occult community but just in (American) culture too, with horror movies of people commanding or being possessed by the demons of Solomon and other similar things. Growing up Christian, there’s a lot of shame that existed in me around worshipping other gods and/or spirits. I’ve been a pagan since I was a kid, I’ve realized. But there was a lot of fear in me, thinking my life would shatter if I truly believed that the gods were real. But I asked for signs from the gods and they sent me signs back, so it made it hard to really believe that God in the Bible is the only one that existed.
side note: I’ve been an active subscriber of yours since near the start of your channel. I was comparing how many people were on your patreon then (enough to say in one small breath) to now, where it took you so long to list everyone. It literally gave me goosebumps and made me start to tear up a bit. You’ve went from idolizing a lot of big creators in the community and thinking you couldn’t make it, to being one of them. I’m so happy I’ve been able to witness your growth over the past few years, it’s seriously so inspiring 🤍
That’s so sweet thank you so much 😭😭😭 I’m always so surprised when people tell me they’ve been watching since the start. How the fuck did people find that teeny tiny channel 🤣 but I’m happy you did 🥰🥰🥰
Vielen Dank!
Am binge watching your videos since yesterday and let me jst say, you are the only one I found, with whom I can resonate sm and like relate so much. So thank ❤
These are great tips, especially using the things around you. That goes for tools and altar items too: take your time and look through charity shops / thrift shops / op shops / flea-markets and you'll find jars, bowls, goblets, lanterns, candlesticks and all those useful things for very little money and reuse is still the best form of recycling. For finding books: libraries are your friend! Some will even have e-book and audiobook loans. Which books? First find out if the author is actually a real person (there are AI authors out there that have 'magically' written dozens of books in the last year, usually seeming to rip off actual authors), can you find them online, have other content creators recommended books? Browse several books then choose one you like and take your time. Some books you can read in a day or so, but if you actually work through the exercises it can take you months so find one you like before you commit.
Yes yes yes! I get all of my tools from fleamarkets these days and it’s so much more fun, sustainable, rewarding and you end up with much more individualized tools than if you buy them off Amazon
I used to have tons of witchy supplies that I bought just to have when I first started practicing. I eventually lost everything in a house fire, which forced me to rebuild my entire collection, at a time when money was tight because I had to buy new versions of everything I’d owned. So I’ve had to only buy stuff I actually have a plan for. And I feel a lot better about it. I still accumulate candles, but a lot slower lmao. And I don’t have tons of random empty jars sitting around for jar spells I’ll never do.
While I am so sorry about the fire, I share your experience in buying everything and anything when you start out and then realizing you don’t even need it 🥲
I love this video! Thank you for talking about cultural appropriation. I am a beginner and I have been very unhappy with the number of retailers and creators who stock and use white sage.
I definitely had shadows of this creating fear around my belief myself and intuition. I always knew I was different and felt the past lifetimes of myself and my ancestors. I knew things instinctively that i was never taught. It took years of being repressed and finally coming to love the person I was to start to heal. This last year I had contact with a diety during a meditation and have felt the guidance strongly. So I know I'm now where I should be on my journey
I’ve discovered your channel accidentally and I’m so glad I did, your voice is really soothing and you give out so many useful information ✨ Do you have any recommendations on how to figure out your psychic ability? There is of course lots of information online but I’d love to hear your take on it 😊
Thanks for this but i have a question for you Please I have two Questions to ask you 1. Can a Man become a Witch ?? 2. what if eventually am interested in more than one practice, can i go for them or is it going to affect me?? 3. Can i become a Witch or Wizard, by saying their spells ??
Hi ,my mamaw , & all my aunts & uncles were raised in the Apallchinains here in Kentucky.its way up in the hills where she raised 11 kids. Just a beautiful place. the devil runn the hills there , And I mean litterly. But I was just wantin to say, I practice the craft n I lean towards mostly the old ways that they done then. Thank you for the memory, & thank you for the videos.
Thank you for this video and the videos with further information. This has been most helpful as I haven't seen any other beginner tips before. I always enjoy listening to your perspectives as appreciate that you are about finding one's own way. Thanks 🙂
Time to go digging through austrian, scotch/irish, british, and french folk history. No resources to track down my ancestry beyond what ive been told, and even though my grandpa has ties to the Cherokee by way of being born in oklahoma in the 1920s thats not really anything im super connected to. At least not the way i am with the others listed.
I only buy books on craft topics that i want to learn more about. I have 2-3 craft 101 books from my beginner days, and I reference those when needed. But the specific topics are nice to have
"learn about the magic of your ancestors" is advice I hear often and would love to explore - but as a white person living in a colonised country with ancestors dating back to original colonisers.... I don't know if I want that 😅or, where to look if I were to research magic far older than these ancestors, and then that feels like I would be claiming something that isn't truly mine. I feel like regardless of what I research or practice, it inevitably feels like appropriation. I'd love to hear more discourse on this topic!
As someone who doesn’t live in a colonized country I won’t be able to talk about it a lot. But as someone from a country that a lot of people left to go over to the US and Canada, I can tell you - you’re totally welcome to explore the magic from your ancestors „original“ countries. It’s literally in your bloodline! What I hear a lot of people from the US and Canada also do is explore the magic of their diaspora. Maybe that could be an option? ☺️
These tips were really useful for me, as a jump off point. Thank you for helping us burst through a couple of bullshit bubbles 😂 Also, your cat is subtly posing in the background to give you extra street cred 😺 I have one extra tip: think back to the magical practices and the myth cycles (Greek, Roman, Norse, whatever) you were into as a child. The witches/pagans I've talked to usually already were into something as a child, then it got buried through adolescence and adulthood. Exploring this again is usually worthwile at the beginning of your magical/devotional journey, because those child interests can point at deep affinities within yourself.
Your comment on trying different things to find what you like made me laugh. I love crystals. And finally got a few orbs. My best friend...who is an (American) Asatru....thinks they're bad news. And I just think that's funny.
There is danger in closing practices. I am a primarily white female in the US so I have to research everything before I get scrutinized for doing them. Sage and Dream Catchers are NOT closed practices. I do have Native DNA in my line, just not enough to be considered Native by the government so I have always struggled with what I am allowed and what I am not allowed to claim in my ancestry. When you attempt to close a belief or practice it is in its own way, cancel culture. This is harmful and in a way of segregation. There are some cultures that are closed so it important to look into them but not All cultural practices are Closed.
@TheNorseWitch no I know that. I'm sorry if my comment came across in that way. I just wanted to note that from the Natives I know in my life they don't have those practices closed and I didn't want to come across as trying to say that 'no practices' are closed. I apologize if I wasn't clear.
I would love to know this too! I know we have it in the family but unfortunately theres no one left who know anything as my grandparents died suddenly so has broke our connections
Dankeschön Bente for sharing this very informative and interesting video, keep up the good work! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🧙🏻♀️BTW, I love your channel💘🇨🇦🙋🏼♀️😉
8:30 have you by any chance made a video about this topic or though of making a video on how to find what you're more psychically lifted with? I personally have some trouble knowing what I'm lifted with and I'm sure others are so how do you figure out what works better?
i'm a beginner and before watching this video i had no idea using white sage was a cultural appropriation (sorry guys my main information source was pinterest💀). i still have white sage incense at home and i only used it once: what should i do with them? edit: before someone says it, i know that relying on pinterest is really dumb but i didn't knew any other alternative
I have a question about the whole closed practices and using white safe debate. Culturally I am Native American. My great grandmother was Cherokee from North Carolina but I personally have no tribal affiliation. Am I allowed to use white sage at all? I can’t tell if what I’m currently using is white sage or blue sage. I just asked the guy at the witch shop what would be best for anxiety and he gave me a bundle of something. I wasn’t aware of closed practices at the time.
I haven't purchased or read any witchcraft books yet except an apothecary book, what do you think about the book "The Psychic Witch?" Also, what books would you recommend?
Yhese are excellent tips. I have read history in many places, but never a modern witchcraft history boomks. I will check that out. May I have the link to the book, so I know how to spell the author's names.
It’s Triumph of the Moon by Ronald Hutton 🥰 I don’t want to share an Amazon link and I don’t know where you’re from (what local bookshops are near you) so here you go this way 🤣
Hi bente, Was steckt hinter dem Salbei-Problem? Ich hab nur was gehört über palo santo. Oder smudging. Was ist mit salbei? Nicht dass ich ihn benutze, ich mag den Geruch nicht. 😅 Tolles video! Liebe Grüße 😊
How do you find your folk magic of you ancestors? My family has always practiced but i fell off it all for many years when I had kids and an just beginning to relearn but most of my family who practiced is gone now
What if one's practice is a part of his/ her Heritage ? A part of heritage is Russian ,but there isn't that much information on the folk practices from Russia
How do you deal with the folk magic of your ancestor’s is not for you? Is it bad to follow folk magic from a culture that is not yours but you connect with?
Recapitulating what Bente said: its worthwhile informing yourself about the folk magic of your ancestors. But if you discover it's not for you, feel free to follow folk magic from any other culture that you like.
Nice video thank you! I don’t know if you’ve done one, but I’d love a video on closed practices/cultural appropriation so I know what to look out for and what not to partake in. Anything I would do would never be done with any ill will or bad intent, so I want to educate myself so I don’t accidentally do something or buy something that is insensitive
How about you just start with being just a witch - over time you’ll see what practices and traditions you like - and BAM you know what kind of witch you are
My tip: Stay curious and pursue your curiosity. Even though I got caught up in Wicca, and New Age stuff for a time, it feels like a rite of passage at this point because almost every witch I know had a similar experience 😂 We eventually figure out where we click precisely because we get curious about things, and honestly, that exploration adds to the personalization of your own craft and it adds to your knowledge of other magical traditions. No matter where I meandered, I don’t regret anything in my witchcraft journey precisely because it’s a journey! My craft has no destination. It’s a sketchbook. I try new styles, new colors, new techniques, new subjects, new media, I combine them, but in the end, the sketchbook is beautiful and it’s uniquely mine.
Ok I'm really not trying to be mean, but isn't this just another religion full of superstition and falsehood? I mean by all means if it works for you that's great, but I'm asking how is this any different or better than Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc ... Actually I can say I dig the witchy vibes much more than the monotheistic vibes! 😅
Witchcraft isn’t a religion. But also… nobody is claiming that it’s better than Christianity or any other religion. I also wouldn’t go so far to say that monotheistic religions are bad by themselves…
That’s not stupid! That’s a commonly asked question. Witchcraft is an umbrella term for multiple different magical practices. For some people it comes with some beliefs like animism, but that doesn’t instantly make it a religion. There’s also lots of people who practice witchcraft alongside a religion, like lots of pagan religions (I for example am a Norse pagan) and there are even Christian witches ☺️
@TheNorseWitch I think I should have just said different rather than better. Also It's hard to compare witchcraft with monotheism because witchcraft isn't monotheistic. I mean it's not a religion, it's a practice I think, but there are "higher powers" involved I beleive. If it's purely the natural way we follow nature like the seasons, the positions of the stars etc... that makes sense to me. It's when we start making elaborate myths and stories that aren't necessary that I begin to get suspicious.
Sorcery, the use of spells, divination, or speaking to spirits, is clearly condemned in the Bible. The word sorcery in Scripture is always used in reference to an evil or deceptive practice. For example, in 2 Chronicles 33:6, King Manasseh is condemned for his many evil practices, including sorcery: “And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.” The apostle Paul lists sorcery as one of many sinful practices that mark the lives of unbelievers: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife . . . and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21). Interestingly, the New Testament Greek word translated “sorcery” is pharmakeia, which is the source of our English word pharmacy. In Paul’s day, the word primarily meant “dealing in poison” or “drug use” and was applied to divination and spell-casting because sorcerers often used drugs along with their incantations and amulets to conjure occult power. Sorcerers were common in the culture of ancient Egypt (Exodus 7:11; Isaiah 19:3). We also see sorcery in the kingdom of Babylon, especially in association with King Nebuchadnezzar (Jeremiah 27:9; Daniel 2:2). Sorcery is an attempt to bypass God’s wisdom and power and give glory to Satan instead. God has no tolerance for sorcery. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, sorcery is listed among the sinful practices of the nations surrounding Israel. God calls it an abomination: “There shall not be found among you . . . anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you.” Malachi also speaks of God’s judgment on those involved in sorcery: “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers” (Malachi 3:5). Apparently, sorcery will still be practiced in the end times. Spiritual Babylon, representing the false religious system of the last days, will deceive “all nations” with sorcery (Revelation 18:23) before judgment falls. The book of Revelation says that sorcerers “will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8; see also Revelation 22:15). Sorcery is clearly sinful and is not to be part of Christian living. There is a wisdom that is “earthly, unspiritual, of the devil” (James 3:15), and this is what sorcery offers. Our wisdom comes from God (James 3:17), not from deceiving spirits. The power of God is much greater than the power of sorcery (1 John 4:4).
Wish this was around when I decided "fine! I want to be a witch!" 2 years ago 😅 glad to see I accidentally managed a few (like labels and following my ancestors) though ouch if I feel called out by the Clairs bit 🫣
Initially I cringed at 'another beginner witch video' 🙄there's so many videos, live streams, books, podcasts and online sources already. However, and sincerely, great topics covered in your video and well said. I'm impressed! Thank you for not rehashing the same thing over again that's already out there. Well done!
Thank you! I tried to really keep to things that would have helped me starting out, in hopes that it’ll also help someone else ☺️
I fully agree with this comment! That's some solid advice, that many practitioners, both beginners and not, can benefit from. ❤
Fully agree! Refreshing and insightful for the beginner, and possibly for many of the seasoned.
@@TheNorseWitchI agree with he above comment!! Fully agree! Refreshing and insightful for the beginner, and possibly for many of the seasoned. Well done!
can i just say... the little sleeping cat behind you really carried this video. like mama a sleeping DIVA behind you
Here's my tip!

@ashlavanadis Yep, we're on exactly the same page about it.
Thank you🙏🏼
@ashlavanadis 😲🤔🧐
It doesn't need to be labeled "magickal" to work
Oh yeah! Nothing wrong with chamomile from a tea bag or rosemary from the spice section 🥰
I love the cat sleeping on your chair ❤
“don’t listen to people making up rules about magical practices” I’d suggest not joining witch groups. I’ve been practicing for almost 17 years and only recently in the past 3 years started opening my path a bit wider and looking to educate myself on practices I’ve not worked with before. Apparently most groups I’ve joined think you’re not a witch is you don’t work with crystals and astrology.

@@katem3553 Thank you!
Great job!
I'd like to share a quote from a polish poem that I love in regards to my practice, just sth that reminds me that you don't have to look far or think "exotic":
Cudze chwalicie, swego nie znacie
Roughly translated:
You praise the unknown, you don't even know what you own
(P.S. Love your videos❤)
Oh that’s a great quote!! ❤️ thanks for sharing!
Getting back into practice again and this was so valuable. This is such a good primer and I appreciate how you laid it all out. Bravo!
How the fuck did people find that teeny tiny channel 🤣 but I’m happy you did 🥰🥰🥰
@TheNorseWitch the algorithm worked its magic :)
I love that you talk about clair senses. I know mine is clairaudience. I can hear things before honing in on my craft it used to scare me
3:46 agree, labeling is limiting most of the time and not having one is okay ✨
Vielen Dank!
Am binge watching your videos since yesterday and let me jst say, you are the only one I found, with whom I can resonate sm and like relate so much. So thank ❤
Oh how sweet, thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Love your sweater, Bente💚
...and your cat!
The trying the spells resonates with me I’m a hands on girlie and I learn by doing 💜
This is a great video with brilliant tips! Thank you for that! ❤
I‘m glad you found it helpful 🥰🥰
@TheNorseWitch definitely. And these are really valid points! ❤️
I could definitely see you publishing a book one day. I’d buy it!
What a beautiful collection of videos and content. I am not sure if I heard correctly, but "Scotty" is a wonderful presence. Greets from Copenhagen!
Her name is Skadi, the German version of goddesses name ☺️☺️ thank you ❤️
I’ve discovered your channel accidentally and I’m so glad I did, your voice is really soothing and you give out so many useful information ✨
Do you have any recommendations on how to figure out your psychic ability? There is of course lots of information online but I’d love to hear your take on it 😊
Now that you’ve asked it - I should make a video on that! ☺️ that’ll be a task for this weekend and then it’ll probably go live next week on Wednesday
@ awesome, thanks😊 can’t wait for it!!
I am not a beginner but the whole UA-cam thing is new to me
Thanks for this but i have a question for you
Please I have two Questions to ask you
1. Can a Man become a Witch ??
2. what if eventually am interested in more than one practice, can i go for them or is it going to affect me??
3. Can i become a Witch or Wizard, by saying their spells ??
1. Yes you can be a witch (It's a neutral term)
2. You Don't have to settle with just one
3. Whatever you want to call yourself
Preaching true facts over here
Thank you for this video and the videos with further information. This has been most helpful as I haven't seen any other beginner tips before. I always enjoy listening to your perspectives as appreciate that you are about finding one's own way. Thanks 🙂
Such good advice to beginners out there. Very sane and sound
But the specific topics are nice to have
I wish I had this advice when i first got started in magic
How do you go about finding what your gift is? There are so many different opinions online and its a bit overwhelming
I was obsessed with 7 day candles they don’t sell them in italy as well . But definitely I don’t need them .
Nowhere in my video did I say all cultural practices are closed.
@TheNorseWitch no I know that. I'm sorry if my comment came across in that way. I just wanted to note that from the Natives I know in my life they don't have those practices closed and I didn't want to come across as trying to say that 'no practices' are closed. I apologize if I wasn't clear.
I agree. I don't believe in closed practices. I've always felt compelled to honor other cultures as well as my own.😊
White sage is a closed practice, indigenous tribes are very clear about that
Thank you x
How do you find out about the magic of your ancestors please?
I would love to know this too! I know we have it in the family but unfortunately theres no one left who know anything as my grandparents died suddenly so has broke our connections
I can’t visualize either. I don’t even remember my dreams and I don’t know why, but someone tells me to visualize an apple. I just see black.
Please teach me witchcraft...🙏🙏🙏
So wait, I cant use white sage to cleanse my appartment!? 😢
These are some great tips, too. Thanks for sharing ❤
Dankeschön Bente for sharing this very informative and interesting video, keep up the good work! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🧙🏻♀️BTW, I love your channel💘🇨🇦🙋🏼♀️😉
Thank youuuu 🥹❤️❤️
Good video!😁
Thanks 🥰
I love your help
I haven't purchased or read any witchcraft books yet except an apothecary book, what do you think about the book "The Psychic Witch?" Also, what books would you recommend?
Yhese are excellent tips. I have read history in many places, but never a modern witchcraft history boomks. I will check that out. May I have the link to the book, so I know how to spell the author's names.
It’s Triumph of the Moon by Ronald Hutton 🥰 I don’t want to share an Amazon link and I don’t know where you’re from (what local bookshops are near you) so here you go this way 🤣
@@TheNorseWitch oh totally understand. Thanks.
Hi bente,
Was steckt hinter dem Salbei-Problem? Ich hab nur was gehört über palo santo. Oder smudging. Was ist mit salbei?
Nicht dass ich ihn benutze, ich mag den Geruch nicht. 😅
Tolles video!
Liebe Grüße 😊
How do you find your folk magic of you ancestors? My family has always practiced but i fell off it all for many years when I had kids and an just beginning to relearn but most of my family who practiced is gone now
"The werld will explode." Haha. Thank you.
How do you find out which witch you are?
Your cat is so beautiful

How to learn

Which video is the one on energy work?
Ok I'm really not trying to be mean, but isn't this just another religion full of superstition and falsehood? I mean by all means if it works for you that's great, but I'm asking how is this any different or better than Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc ...
Actually I can say I dig the witchy vibes much more than the monotheistic vibes! 😅
Witchcraft isn’t a religion. But also… nobody is claiming that it’s better than Christianity or any other religion. I also wouldn’t go so far to say that monotheistic religions are bad by themselves…
@TheNorseWitch What's the difference between witchcraft and practicing a relgion? Yes I'm that stupid! Lol
He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.”
The apostle Paul lists sorcery as one of many sinful practices that mark the lives of unbelievers: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife . . . and things like these.
And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you.”
Malachi also speaks of God’s judgment on those involved in sorcery: “Then I will draw near to you for judgment.
Ok Jan

Wish this was around when I decided "fine! I want to be a witch!" 2 years ago 😅 glad to see I accidentally managed a few (like labels and following my ancestors) though ouch if I feel called out by the Clairs bit 🫣
