This band is literally the greatest. I mean honestly💞 listening to them has helped me through some really tough times💞 I love me some Black Crowes man😍
same. my mom used to play Shake.. all the time when i was a kid, and i think being as young as i was, plus being that she overplayed it, i lost a lot of the understanding of the magic that this band is and has been about.
I talked to Rich outside his solo show at the double door and told him this was my favorite crowes track. He rolled his eyes and said it was just a really long “remedy”.
@@mschwes5376 me too..this song is contagious..soo much more CROWES than Remedy which is sooo repetitive and I skip it on the album as too commercial for me!🎸🇬🇧🤘
I worshipped the Southern Harmony record when it came out. Bought the first two BC records on cassette on my way home from school the day TSHAMC was released, but missed this track all these years. The song is like an amalgam of all the other tracks from the album.
Awesome song, I was lucky enough to get a copy of the Hotel Illness single on clear vinyl. One of the original pressings from '92. It has this song and Rainy Day Woman on it.
I consider this record very close to my heart. Mine still has the calendar in it. Why this never made it to Southern Harmony I'll never know. It's one of my favourite songs from the Harmony sessions.
i got the cd single back inthe day and cannot believe this was on the b side. some bands can write and recird for decades and not come near this 'throw away' classic. closest i remember this live brixton academy '92 a jam called the 'the jam, the bread and the roly-poly' or similar?
I really hope they decide to tour again....it was said that their last tour, the one last year, would be their last for good....I so hope it isnt true.....they are one of the only bands I can say that really moves me
why are there so little views for this song???? craziness. Pisses me off when i tell people I like the crowes and their response is always, O yeah i like "she talks to angels". SO MANY OTHER GREAT SONGS, GET THE NET!!!

You can hear how important this song was to Remedy, Thorn in Your Pride….seems like something beautiful that got chopped up and dissected into about 2-3 songs.
@jltjr5 I appreciate it, I just found it on a UK cd single, currently on it's way... when I first heard this I had to have it...again I appreciate the advice, I took it and it worked out great, now on to the next rare song:)
Yes, but for those of us who enjoy Rock and Roll, they're the only ones that are still working. As for the Zeppelin comments, what they did is very clear, and well documented, that their influences were the American blues greats; Zeppelin took it to the next level. in this case ,the music has come full circle.... Everybody here is apart of "the song"

@slash12376 I think I can help Black Crowes´ fans out in that respect. Just post your mail on my channel page saying you want to rock to this song. I believe that even if the song isn´t available anywhere, fans have the right to get some sunlight of sound in the modern era of tasteless music all around.
I DIG this tune BUT…… I can’t help thinking that , if they this was track 2 I would have wanted Remedy instead. Having said THAT I dig this more than Track2 on Southern Harmony. We ALL I believe would have liked the second version more. BUT THIS IS MY JAM.
The first half of this song is delightful. It has a couple of nice riffs. In fact some band has stolen one for their song Remedy. Second half of the song dwindles away mostly due to some, at best, mediocre lead playing. Would have been nice to hear it on Southern Harmony with Marc playing on it.
Absolutely. Marc Ford would have helped fleshed it out with his own piece and then some scorching outro as he always did on these kinds of melodies/riffs.
One of the greatest bands ever. Period.
Fuck yea!;
THE greatest
100% agree.
YES!!!
This track and Miserable not being on the album shows you just how good they were in this part of their career.
It was planned that way that’s what makes them great
The greatest song nobody has ever heard. Except the BC faithful :)
I saw it on SNL in 1991 and shouted for them to play it on tour that year with ZZ Top.

It’s Remedy before Remedy wish they pulled this one out more often

Well, you're not a pretty picture

Could make a head turn
You ask about forgiveness
Why don't we mention some respect
You said you want some of my business

I must object
And of all of the things that you had to say
Tell me baby what if tomorrow never ever came
Say you catch a fever
Say you call out my name
I could take it or I could leave it
And never catch no blame
Everyone talking
About the hard road you ride
Baby that sure sounds like squawkin'
And I push it aside
Listen to me baby
And of all of the things that you throw away
Tell me baby what if tomorrow never ever ever came
Cause of all of these words that you throw away
One just might come right back, yeah
And haunt your dyin day
Just might haunt your dyin day
You better believe it
Better you believe it
That ain't no sweat off my back, no no yeah
And of all of these things that you had to say
Tell me baby girl what if tomorrow never ever ever ever wanna came
Tell me baby
Tell me how do you know if you're ever wide awake
Tell me how it feels baby
If you are ever wide awake
Look straight ahead for heaven's sake
Find in your heart that you believe is true
And all of the things that were once unclear become clear to you
