wasn't released on the official Lost Crowes 2 disc set. Only on the Live 2 disc set release in '02. Was lucky enough to see them perform it live twice. Once @ Hampton Beach, NH in '06 and House of Blues Boston in '10
You can find this song on a bootleg called "Tall"... which consist of a whole bunch of studio outtakes from that period... Exit, Title Song, Bewildered... a bunch of songs that did actually end up on that Lost Crowes Taller Sessions disc...
I'd love to get a copy of that burned onto a CD, if it would ever be possible. Anything else to fill the space would be fine too, but this is a classic.
Y ? Y? Because it should be heard! Because it's impossible... Because it is the only thing that matters. Because without it there's no light guiding the rest of us Home. ❤
@@afmartin2734 Don’t trash Audrey. He has the best technique out of any of the Crowes guitarists, Isiah Mitchell right behind. That aside, I think Marc Ford is a better guitar player than Audrey and Isiah due to his tone and nasty guitar playing. Marc ford will always be the best, but Audrey deserves some credit for his awesome live contributions.
It's too bad it wasn't or cut officially. This is better than nothing and certainly way better than the official live version from '01. Like so many of their songs from 1992-1997, they could have put out 2 other albums that most bands can only dream of accomplishing.
@@afmartin2734 I am sorry, but the Live LP is a much more polished version of the track. Rich plays so much better on the Live Version with a great opening guitar melody as well as a really great solo after the 1st verse. I am not saying Audley is better than Marc Ford, but Audley plays a really great lead with REALLY good tone. Chris's vocals are also on point on both versions. Overall, the Live version better represents how the song really is.
This is one of the greatest things the Crowes ever did.
I feel ya, but they’ve done a lot of incredible things! ( Fav Crowes tune btw)
Needed to here this twice this morning😮
Would really like to hear this live in 2024 please😄
I would say there’s no chance but they’ve been doing a fair amount of deep cuts on this tour. Fingers toes arms and legs crossed
I have not the words to discribe how this song makes me feel, just chill bumps and watery eyes...
Still bawling in 2023
The live version of this song is one of the coolest tracks ever!!

Fora de série, obra prima!
Firs time I ever heard this song was live in Houston 1995!

This is the only official version with Ford on it, other than the ones played in '95 and '96 live. Only ones that will ever matter.
I wish this had been on Amorica.
This one and Feathers... wow! a kind of slow black crowes flying...
I agree. I love Title Song & Feathers so much. No one around me understands what I’m talking about!
I love this jam. Very melancholy
One of their best, alongside Feathers and Bring On Bring On!

this is music.
This song legit kills me
Fo sho. One of their very best in my book. Deep cut. :)
Cuts my soul deep as well. I’m sure I’ve ugly cried to it on more than one occasion 😉
I have a live version on vinyl on the box set Wiser for the Time.

Reuben Glass, 6155 Oak Level Road, Halifax, VA 24558, I'll do what I can at this end to cover any costs.
Fantastic tune man!!!
Awesome
that's whats up. Nice!!
Great song
Thank you!!! I've never had the studio version!
Damn - Ed was an excellent keyboard player. Add Marc and Rich and this band was untouchable in the 90's

And I'm sorry if you didn't allow this out of its cage into the open. If you say... I'll find the tiger and put it back because
This was never officially released... it's on various bootlegs.
america had the crows
england had the faces
all you outher countries learn
fucking superb
Anyone know how he got that guitar tone?
Marc Ford is a treble booster and guitar volume knob mastermind.
Is Marc Ford on this version? Sounds like him.
Audley Freed
@@charlesroberson3951 It's Marc Ford and Rich.
Of course. Ford comes in on the heavy, second part. Rich takes the intro melody.
@@charlesroberson3951 - Audley can't play like that. Come on.
