Hello my friend. Love your reactions. Will Smith was a rapper before he was an actor. He was a rapper and he started acting on TV on a TV show called "Fresh Prince of Belair" and from there he went on to act in movies.
Will Smith has 2 or 3 Grammys rap song and rap performance. What do you mean you never heard about him being a rapper. He did the Fresh Prince theme song. And no he is not "off beat" that's his flow, if you listen to "Gettin jiggy" or "Wild wild west" you'll hear it again.

I remember when they won an award and in the acceptance speech he told a story about how he had been at a parent teacher conference earlier that day. The teacher said his son was doing well except in one thing he really struggles more than his peers. Will expected her to say math or something like that. She said no… he can’t grasp rhyming words. He paused then said that’s just bad parenting folks since we just won an award for rapping, how ironic. Lmaooo

I remember even seeing the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when it first aired and being like “Oh! The Fresh Prince has a TV show!” LOL
Will smith actually paved a way for a lot of rappers. He was the first rapper to win a grammy, back in the day MTV refused to play hip hop music videos, will smith changed that. He never earned the respect he deserved in genre because he was labeled as a bubble gum rapper due to him not using profanity in his lyrics. Will is a GOAT in his own frame, put some respect on his name!
it sounds good because it was good, this was top of the charts. there was a time in the 90s Will did a song for most of his movies coming out and the songs went to the top of the charts and the movies were Blockbuster successes. this song i think went double platinum. Will Smith was also the first rapper to ever win a grammy. he started out rapping before he got the the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
