The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is still getting updates with new Creations DLC, these are paid mods that add new content into the game. Today we are reviewing the new Skyrim creation: Echoes of the Vail for Xbox Series X/S, PC and Play Station (PS4/PS5) by EasierRider, which adds 23 new lands to explore in the Forgotten Vail region of Skyrim. The mod also adds a new armor set to find, new unique weapon locations and a new player home location. Originally you could only access the forgotten vail during the Dawnguard Questline but now you can access it early.

Honestly blows my mind that this game is as old as it is and still looks leaps and bounds better than a lot of newer games
It’s crazy because this game still takes my breath away every time I play it. The fact alone that it’s been rereleased like 10 times and I’ve purchased it every time says a ton about what a timeless game this is..
Bethesda Game Studios and Todd Howard envisioned a game that people would play for decades, and that game is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Lots of their older games, like Oblivion and Morrowind, are still enjoyed to this day.
And plays better than some newer games made by the same studio 😂

@@justinmiller3396 he'd probably argue that saying it in the expanded description is enough (I definitely disagree) but unfortunately seems pretty down to promote this thing fans don't want (paid mods that disable achievements) for views...

It’s really disappointing to think “oh, maybe there’s something I’ve missed!” Only to find out 2 minutes in it’s a paid mod, or for people that play on say, Switch, totally unobtainable. I’d probably have watched the whole thing if I knew that going in. But, having your expectations built up then dashed for the sake of clickbait… low blow from ESO.
@@FoldUpJohn I’d except that argument, but I don’t know anyone, anyone at all, who has ever read a video description before watching the video. I mean, it’s possible sure, but I bet the person who does that needs their back yard examined for bodies.
That clearly says "By:EasyRider" Not Bethesda. You've got to clarify what is Mod Author created and BGS created. Before "bethesda just" is even said. Because Echoes of the Vale is by a mod author, and so is its content. It was approved by bethesda and made available to purchase as a add on by Easyrider...give credit where it's due.
There was an update to this mod that you should get (redownload or restart) that fixes a couple things, namely the misspelling of the "Rainment" to the correct "Raiment."
The mace would be better if you could switch from firing beams to hitting creatures with a effect like Dawnbreaker has. Maybe switching hands could change its attack type. Off hand bolt and main hand melee attack. Or have it as a pair of maces. One for shooting bolts and the other for swinging at foes.

Man oh man. I have been saving another playthrough of skyrim for years at this point. I played skyrim literally like a million times over. So I figured if I could stop myself from playing to for years then a new playthrough would be amazing with the dlc. One thing I will say is that I am grateful for starfield because it has kept me preoccupied with my BGS fix. Todd saying that they plan to support every series until the next entry in the series almost brought tears to my eye. Think about how much easier the wait for the elder scrolls 7 will be with TES6 getting content up until release year. Anyway love the content as usual Danny.
Not to rain on your parade bro but if you look at how Bethesda is " supporting " games with Skyrim as a model then these are not hopeful statements... For example forcing something onto a community that has repeatedly fought against it like paid mods (when the whole point of creating mods in the first place was as a way to generate user-made content and one of the only legal ways to generate free content for games as it becomes an increasingly expensive hobby) idk... Between starfield being oversold compared to the product we got and the new creation content disabling achievements like I'm going to pay for the privilege of breaking my game and giving me a product that better versions are available for free elsewhere including the same in-game marketplace just sucks... Oblivion got me into gaming, I used to love this company now it's all these anti-consumer practices and the fact they haven't made a solid narrative-based RPG in years instead pumping out watered down action games with lite RP mechanics like f4, starfield (and to some extent Skyrim) it's just rough...

Cool tip for skyrim Katja follower creation. You can have her, a vanilla companion, and a pet follow you at the same time. Katja will also banter with the other companion in your party.
I always think the Falmer use echolocation, which is why they can be so precise when fighting...just a thought.

I was really excited about new creations thinking they were going to be mini DLC instead of just another attempt at forcing paid mods down people's throats and then I found out they disable achievements... - The idea that I'm going to pay for something that is available elsewhere for free usually at a higher quality that disables a key component of my game is laughable

it'd have been really cool if they made it so that when it runs out of charge it turns into a mace and you just slap people with it, or being able to switch between using it as a mace and a staff with the enchantment still burning on hits

Auriel's Shield isn't new... but the bulwark kinda steals some of it's thunder. I wish they didn't reuse that specific mesh, it makes Auriel's Shield feel less special.

Gonna guess one of the enchantments that make a school of magic cost less to cast will make the weapon cost nothing to use. 100% Fortify Restoration would be my guess since it looks like a sun damage spell. Could be Fortify Destruction though if it's like the Lunar weapons from Silent Moons Camp.

Other than looking ok I really don't think this is worth the money Bethesda wants for it. It's just slightly retextured glass mace and Auriel's shield, nothing special 🤷🏼♂️

It must be capable of doing more damage to undead due to being the most vulnerable to fire/daylight; it's only a guess though.

This is not CC content, this is a Verified Creation (aka paid mods), Anniversary Edition covers the Bethesda made/supported CC content (more akin to DLC since its official). For difference between them the CC content doesnt affect your save status, cuz its treated as content inherent to the game, Verified Creations are mods, made by people outside bethesda but given the thumbs up from them, however this are not supported by bethesda's team and they do mark your save as modded, so no achievements on it.

@@stuito the mod is endorsed by bethesda as safe and playable, its just not made nor updated by them. ESO does cover mods too, all things Elder Scrolls, so makes sense to cover mods. As to why it's being refered to as DLC idk, anything i say would be an assumption.
