I definitely think there is some value in competing because you have to cold. Read your opponent, and you have to see if you can implement your strategy before they can implement theirs. It’s also a great way to identify the biggest gaps in your game. My core tips for anyone looking to compete, create a game plan, do a proper warm-up so you don’t get an adrenaline dump, and do super fights at your dojo to get used to that pressure.
One thing I value from this match is your poise you never sped yourself up to match his intensity rather you used his intensity to his demise! And you stuck to your game! Game recognize game brotha 💯💯📝
Great example of dealing with an aggressive opponent and adjusting in a short period of time by extending the left leg on the second guard pull. Can see the weight of your experience here. High level stuff..
Bjj needs a step back rule like wrestling. The way people retreat to the edge of the mat is so annoying and boring. No one wants to see 20 resets a match.
You’re a beast bro . Two stripe white belt . Will maybe compete before blue belt .

@@SkepticalAaron yeah it’s frustrating to finally get engaged and even a decent position and then have to restart.
