@@ArcticPrice His son was allegedly crippled and paralyzed by the main protagonist Tatsuya. Fujimoto entered Dragon Heat just so he could beat the sh*t out of Tatsuya for that.
Somehow this style reminds me to Fang from Tekken, only that this one seems to be more rushdown, the lv.3/red heat action looks really awesome (as much as painfull) and the throws are also cool. No wonder why this become one of your favs Leon. Amazing Boss fight as usual!
These varieties of fighting styles is interesting i thought with zero and kiwami multiple styles there are something to develop from this game to the next series but y6 and kiwami 2 returned to one fighting styles , kiwami 2 looks fun but varieties would be nice
It's more of a timeline thing. Kiryuu back in 0 was in his 20s, still a young adult, having plenty of moves would make sense---and Tatsuya here is 17 years old, the same reasoning apply. However, Kiryuu in Kiwami lost his edge(hence you have to beat Majima to unlock the abilities for Dragon of Dojima style), although he still kept the other fighting styles. By the timeline of Kiwami 2, RGG 3, 4, 5, and 6, Kiryuu's already a middle-aged man. He won't have the same stamina as when he was still below 30...so him using only one fighting style---a combination of all the other styles, would make more sense.
Yeah, the story is that the father's kid was sent to try and beat Tatsuya up by some punk. But it turns out the punk hated both of them so Tatsuya beats the shit out of the guy and the punk deals a comatose blow and makes Tatsuya take the fall.
Man and here I thought this guy was just a nobody. Not knowing the language really takes a lot out of the experience, i'm sure Kurohyou's story is great.
Tatsuya will meet a detective who takes care of him---kinda like Date-san in the main RGG games. This guy's Takenaka. Also, Sai no Hanaya aka Florist appears too, and he gives info to Tatsuya about his potential opponents...for a price, of course
Hey Sal I got you some good news, I got my close friend to check out the translation project since he can translate Kanji and he's really into japanese culture so I hope he's able to help get you and everyone an english patch that much quicker :)
Okay I watched these boss battles of this game and it got me wondering what game engine they used for it. Some of the moves are from Yakuza but others look like from the old Aki engine wrestling games
I really like Fujimoto as a character. He entered Dragon Heat just so he could avenge his crippled son. What a cool dad.
What happened to his son exactly?

The red heat move of this Hakkyokuken style is a nod to Shenmue series--yes, it's Ryo's Hazuki Style Jujutsu secret move,
Urahazuki
You were hitting him so hard that his spirit was leaving his body at 5:38 and 5:40. Great job, Leon!
Harlan Nguyen That why Kazuma afraid to fight Tatsuya.
That soundtrack tho
Best thing I've seen so far about this game
The style you're using here is called Hakkyokuken---aka Ba Ji Quan.
It's the same style as Akira from Virtua Fighter.
And leo from tekken
i never noticed this til now but damn dem shadow polygons
Also, the style's called "The Fist Of Eight Extremities"
thank you, I was wondering was this style is, turn out it is a crude translation of bajiquan

lad gaiden...
I think the translation might be trying to say Eight Diagram Palm or Eight Extremes Fist(Bajiquan)
This man is the father of the student that Tatsuya got into juvie for beating up. It is a very long story.
Woah that's some pretty interesting stuff.

Now I know why this guy’s theme is called Revenge of the Father lol, man I wish this was translated
So, "Eight Pole Fist" seems to be like Chinese Kenpo.
It's Bajiquan. Chinese Kenpo is another style in the game.
That drop spining punch remind me of electra from Def Jam Fight for NY.
Kung fu vs. karate. Pretty interesting matchup.
He look like Prayut ChanOcha

That's great news man, here's hoping he can contribute well to the project!
this fighting style of tatsuya reminds me of boyka from undisputed
"I am beri fat I eat you for dinner"
Okay is it just me, or do some of these attacks come from Def Jam
The guys who made this, in addition to the RGG team, are the guys who made Def Jam.
devilleon7 Really? That's actually really cool!!

Will you record the substory boss?
Mind telling me how to get different styles? Started playing cause of this series and been looking for a guide or something :p
Flum Some styles you get through story, some through substories, and some by leveling up other styles
Next use boxing style, and clickbait KSI vs Jake Paul.
:3
Ok can someone explain what happened at that last cutscene?
Exeggubro Dood Tatsuya made sure he didn’t get back up or else he’d punch him again.
Is this part of the yakuza series?
Yes.
In English, it's Nobumichi Fujimoto.
Is there a translated guide available somewhere online or do I have to use Google Translate for the Japanese guide?
dito koent only JP guides so far but the ones Dev used have maps to where you need to go for story and other things
blackwind677 Can you provide a link? I'd appreciate it.
Salty Yen is doing a translated LP
