Looks good so far. I'm finding it's hard to get used bikes cheap anymore. Used to get them cheap at garage sales. Now with the Internet, everyone sells online for almost new prices. Mise well buy and cut up a new one. Thanks for the video
for adult size bikes, yeah getting scarce at good prices. I've noticed 12" and 16" kids bikes are quite often left out for council cleanups a LOT in some suburbs though - usually just flat tires and a little surface rust from sitting in a shed for a decade. Now who's going to complain about a free bike even if it's just to grab the wheels, handle bars, brake parts, etc? Good for donor parts, if you don't just clean up the better ones to donate
Thank you! I'm gathering info on a planned trike. This is helpful for sure. Got any ideas for front suspension? Welding gives off very high doses of UV-C (harmful radiation). Cover your skin!
I would get the donor bikes at a thrift store or your local scrap metal yard. They are almost giving them away. You paied way too much for the donor bikes $180 yikes!
with junk donor bike you end up with junk. You the buy new spokes tires tubes bearings etc. cost adds up. Yes junk donors are the best option for pro typing. but build you finished bike with good stuff.
You cut the cranks off? Are you not aware of Tools and Threaded components? Buying cheap new bikes to sacrifice is sad. Not only does it encourage the production of more of these death machines, but it means you're also building your new bike out of gloss-painted feces.
Excellent, those 90 dollar bikes are better suited for your purpose.I love the simplicity of your build.Great work.

Great vid and nice progress.
I will be watching your build, just like your last one.
Keep up the good work. Your welding is much better.

Biggest trouble are the steering system of frontwheels, the camber and such, is there not a mold for that.
Scrap wood, pvc, cardboard is also good for prototyping, avoid simple mistakes.
why a second one, whats the changes you want from the other one, wasnt it good?
congrats and thanks for the vids!!!
I ask myself do 20 inch wheels on front has more resistance then 26 or 28 inch wheels? or is this such little effect that I can
ignore it? thanks.
Молодец))
