To be fair, he's still Uxas in this. So he's younger and more battle driven rather than the stoic and mature Darkseid we're used to seeing. The Hands-behind-his-back-while-walking is still yet to come for the young Uxas.
The music played awesome on this scene. The way it gradually kept getting intense as they were speaking and climax after Darkseid made his decision and walks away.

To be fair, he's still Uxas in this. So he's younger and more battle driven rather than the stoic and mature Darkseid we're used to seeing. The Hands-behind-his-back-while-walking is still yet to come for the young Uxas.

The music played awesome on this scene. The way it gradually kept getting intense as they were speaking and climax after Darkseid made his decision and walks away.
The only disappointing thing about this scene is that Darkseid doesn’t have his hands behind his back as he walks away.

No matter what Gunn thinks of the Snyderverse he can't deny that he had the best villain (and a good rendition of him) in the palm of his hand. Also, the actor playing Asaad is great because when Darkseid says "ready the armada" you can see fear in his facial expression.
