Welcome to Part 1 of the updated walkthrough. This first episode will take us into the gravesight plains and do most of the early content while holding off on bosses. We get plenty of Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ashes so it's suggested to watch the full episode.

I got a question, so do I play the DLC after going through your initial base game Elden Ring 100% Walkthrough or will some dlc quest depend on events on the main game?
250 is the new meta if you dont wanna get one shotted by mages or bleed builds. Your able to counter more and is less rock paper scissors. 150 meta is literally the same build over and over and over again.
@@blnkblnk9985 u can complete the base game, since dlc only opens up after u defeat mogh which unlike the actual walkthrough is a late game optional boss
For those confused why the 100% Walkthrough is restarting, Fromsoft made a bunch of undocumented changes including loot locations, new loots, modified weapons/spells, etc. Keeping the existing walkthrough up would have led to complications and potentially botched quests so it's been purged. All the notetaking for this updated series will be done on the current patch to ensure accuracy and the parts beyond 1-3 will be getting prepped up after I sleep.

@@tree_sentinel_ghost More likely we all would go as far as we could go (some beating it, some not being able to get past the end bosses) but almost definitely we would have missed a lot of stuff along the way. That is why I love the walkthroughs.

I bought Elden Ring in July of 2022. It was the first game I bought on my Xbox series X and I thought I made a mistake. As a last-ditch effort I decided to search UA-cam for help and came across cowboy’s channel. Since then I achieved platinum for Demon Souls Remake, Dark souls 1, 2, and 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and of course Elden Ring, which was where it all started. If it wasn’t for FightinCowboy I’d of never understood how these games were meant to be played.
I’m doing a blind playthrough for Shadow of the Erdtree, then I’ll be following this guide on a fresh character.

I had a similar experience. In 2019 I decided to try dark souls 1 it was on sale for Xbox. After playing for a good couple hours I was frustrated and ready to return it. Decided to look up a walkthrough and after getting past the undead parish I was absolutely hooked. Have now beat all the games multiple times, used cowboys walk through for most of them but now I play the games blind then check out his walk throughs after. I’d recommend lies of P if you haven’t already played that, it’s the only “souls like” that gave me the same amazing feelings these games have
I'm SO glad you make these videos. I get so easily creeped out by Fromsoft games and you're walkthroughs always make it more easy for me to get through without stressing lol.
Happened to me too when I first started playing ER which was my first souls game. It was like a horror game. Now I am a big boy and I like finding things for myself more😊.
@@moonrabbit2334 I enjoy finding things for myself, but I don't do well with dark areas/horror aspects of ANY type of game lmao. So I watch these purely to know what enemy I'm about to run into when it comes to the dark caves and smaller dungeons 😅

Walkthroughs are the best for me I can watch and see what I missed. Funnily enough I have found almost 100% of all items and bosses I am surprised by myself I love exploration so much and bosses are cherry on top😊

i literally just finished the 82 part walkthru, i watched every second of every video and platinumed the game. I just wanna say thank you for that and I'm excited to 100% the DLC too

@@tots9471 I'm not OP, but just to give you an idea, I'm currently on video 47 of the base game walkthrough and I'm at around 80 hours. 🙃 I did blindly play a bit in the beginning though, like the starter area up to Lurnia of the Lakes (really to the beginning of the Academy but had to go back and do some stuff I missed in the lake) as well as the entire underground area Siofra River (turns out I wasn't supposed to be there yet and was extremely under leveled, oops..that probably really cost me some time..), and I just skipped through those episodes I'd already completed to make sure I did everything/didn't miss anything important (which also took some time while my game was idling.) But or the most part, I had already gotten everything including pushing the NPC quests to where they needed to be (except for some caves/mini dungeons/catacombs in Lurnia of the Lakes.) But I'm sure when I was playing blindly, it wasn't as swift as when directly following Cowboy.
There's 82 episodes, each episode is between 30-45 mins (so we will go with 35 mins on average) so it's probably around 48hrs of walkthrough videos, but including pause time, possibly dying and having to run back, defeating enemies at different rates than Cowboy, you may be pausing quite a bit. Now I'm wondering how in the world I'm at 80-ish hours already and I'm only halfway through. 😂 Usually I cut the game off pretty quickly after I'm done for the day, so not too much idle time just standing around I don't think? But maybe one day I did forget to turn it off, I really don't know. 😓
I will say it's pretty easy to keep up with the videos and not have to pause for very long while following them once you get into your groove.
There was one part where in a video he skips a quest that gets you a talisman with Severus, but he mentions it/how to do it if you want to, and I did go do that, so that added a little extra time. And then sometimes I do pause and read through comments if I get confused on something.
Like at one point he switched to an alt character to re-record a section, and in that video he had 4 talisman slots when we only had 3 up to that point, and I spent wayyyy too long going back through previous footage to figure out where I missed it, when it turned out if I had just read the pinned comment (silly me) it explained that because he was re-recording on an alt, he had an extra talisman slot that we wouldn't have yet. So that was a big "oops" that caused me to waste a lot of time with my game running in the background, bc I was rushing to try to figure it out before I had to leave for work. 😅
Anyways, I hope this helps some, sorry I can't give a better answer. But I'm definitely flying through the episodes way faster now that I'm in my groove, and I'd guess that it probably only takes me around 5-10 mins of pause time per episode now. (So if the episode is 35 mins, it takes me 40-45 mins from having to pause, like if I'm trying to find a piece of loot he grabbed that I'm not seeing right away, I fall down a layer deeper into a dungeon than I was supposed to and have to find my way back up, etc.)
So it really just depends on your pace, but you should definitely get quicker once you get into the groove! I can come back and update you when I finish the run and let you know how many hours it ended up taking, and maybe it will be significantly less than 80 hours for the second half of walkthrough episodes, and that can give you a better idea.

So the Scadutree Frags… While coming up with the name of the item, I Wonder if Miyazaki was watching an episode of Blues Clues w/ Steve from the 90s with his children one night and when Blue scadu’d into the picture, Miyazaki was like “Blue Scadu? We can too??! 💡 💡 💡 ding ding ding. And then and there, the Scadutree Frag was born.(It’s a stretch, I know). It’s a working theory. 🤣
For real tho, As soon as Cowboy said the word “Scadutree” then immediately and without hesitation I say to myself “Scadutree??? Scadutree? Blue Scadu and we can too!!” was a strange moment. I haven’t heard that phrase or thought about it in over 20 years since I was a child. But it came back to me 20 years later, while watching Cowboys Shadow of the Erdtree walkthrough. Lol. Was just like a stranger than fiction moment for me. Final destination esque thing. My brain buried something from my childhood and it showed itself during Cowboy’s walkthrough of a game that so many things had to fall into place for it to be a game that I get to play and enjoy watching Cowboys walkthrough…. Ya know what I’m trying to say? It’s weird right? 😂

32 year old here who’s been watching your content for 7 years now. Cooked through the base Elden Ring game on release-console time zone switch, baby!-with little sleep or food like many people. Still remember seeing all those “.01%” achievement alerts pop up and feeling both proud and ashamed.
I never did watch your walkthrough when you started releasing them, but, after having a son last year, I can’t tell you how glad I am that you’ve continued to do your thing over the years in the way that you do it-and always improving.
I went back to the game and used your Walkthrough to make sure I had everything for the DLC. I enjoyed playing alongside your walkthrough as much as I did my first blind playthrough, and now I’m pumped to use your guide for the DLC. For the beast claw enemy or any npc enemy. A great sword or ultra great sword with giant hunt will keep knocking them on their butt so you can get them in an infinite loop where they can’t even do anything. It also works on blackgaol knight
