An the 96 XCR SP you can see at 1:07 which has a 680 top end with PSI Mod Blasters, PSI Billet heads, and the PSI needles, among other goodies. You can hear it just as the cameraman pans over 😎
I am now the Proud owner of Eight Pilots Pro Stock !!! what a beautiful machine.. cant wait to drop it on the Ice here in New Hampsire Turkey Pond Concord!!!
All hale the big block! I have owned four... I just picked up pair of 98' Ultra tourings to replace my recently sold 97' Storm SE(MY WIFE'S SLED purchased in 2002), and my '96 Ultra SP a former pro stock that I purchased in 1999 and raced it for two years. That was more expensive that what I ever imagined. So, I made it trailable. Modified with an 800 xcr rear suspension and rmk saddles, and XC-10 front suspension and sway bar. I replaced the pistons with molly-T's and threw stock heads back onto it and a set of SLP pipes and can. I kept the 42.5mm carbs, clutching, and gearing. I even repainted the hood and put all the factory decals back on it. I drove it up north in Eagle River every year for 6 years like that... it got 3-5 mpg on 93 octane. . We have three boys, 1, 5, and 7.. two of which started riding with us at age 2 on those two sleds! I am proud that the big block tradition lives on.. some day I will pick one back up again... some day. That is why I searched for two years and picked my Ultra Touring's. What is so special about an "old outdated" big block triple??? Drive one and you'll find out why!
Those sound amazing, never owned the xcr triple but have owned the xlt, that sled was a problem. Also owned vmax 700 and machz 800 triple. They where great sleds, mach was a beast. Had an xc 800 twin, great sled also but definitely not as much arm stretching power as the triples
The guy that has the sled with the clear cowl. So you can see the motor through it. My question is, ok the sled is a Polaris, but why would you put artic cat skis on it.
I love how that one idiot gets off and slams the track down and jumps on the rear a few times like that's really going to concrete those studs in better. Then he lost anyways!
Impromptu event for the most part. Mostly a run what ya brung. Keep tabs on the XCR forum at Hardcoresledder.com. Seventh annual this next time around.. Held on Moose Lake right @ Louies Landing. Do a google search or check in this winter on the forum boards.
This was the XCR Shootout. Was a get together posted under the "XCR" section of Hardcore Sledder. It wasn't Polaris specific, but that's where the focus was...

I'm now the proud owner of the first sled that runs down the strip! Best purchase I've ever made!
