I wouldn't base all that on this show, I'm pretty sure they could have edited out anything that would make the country or people look bad. From my experience living here Muslims face a lot of discrimination, for example there was once a Muslim woman in one of my university classes and people in the class kept trying to pull off her hijab or telling her that people like her don't belong in Korea. Another problem for Muslims is many of them get denied services and jobs simply because they're Muslim which is why a majority of the Muslims residing here live in poverty. Another thing is halal food is extremely hard to find and buying imports in Korea is very very expensive.

the mom is a fighter, she works so hard for her family, and the children were lovely... hoping for the best for them and that the whole family can be together soon
we...muslims....we love everybody and we respect all the religions.....isis is not us,we hate them...quran didn't tell us to do like what they are doing....just trust us ,we are good ....and we really love you!
Ahmad Sayyad أحمد الصياد Arab muslim dont "love" everybody, most are soooo racist, toward south asian & africans. their afrophobia is terrible; months ago a somali women was burn alive by arab in egypt. it's hard, to be black while living in north africa, middle east.... they must work in their anti-bkackness.
ashneko2 😄😄 I don't think that this is right, because I live between them and there is nothing bad between us,there is one who is training with me and an other one studied with me , also egypt has to parts african one and the other is asian, but also i can't say to you that all people here or all arabs are good there whom is bad of them ( behaves badly and have bad morals ) but at most we don't justify people as their color or their origin and quran tells us not to justify people but by morals and faith but we also must respect others who is non-muslim if he was good and has good morals.
Oh i was wrong they are not korean ,japanees and chinees people i made search now 😅😅 but also there is muslim countries between them also india i don't think that we hate them also one of the biggest channels here is for indian drama ( my grandma whatcs it a lot ) but i think that the only think we say about indian peopl that their drama has a lot of imagin or people is so powerful because he can stop a car by a kick and when he punches someone he makes him fly far away also some time times he can avoid a shot 😵😵😵😵./ But there is countries there who kills muslims in a very bad ways in a huge numbers 😔😔😔😔😔 i think that you don't know this.😔
Her kids were so rude (I'm referring to when she was trying to teach them proper arabic). I get them in a way because they may feel bored learning, but they were very disrespectful to their mom. When they are older they will understand how stupid of them it was to not listen to their mom and they will regret it. I am an immigrant myself and am glad that I never lost pride in my language and culture. Assimilation is difficult and easy at the same time; Korea is a homogenous society, but I feel that, as an immigrant, it's very important to still retain your culture in a land of homogeneity. I hope they improve in that aspect and take her lessons seriously. The moments you have with your family, especially mom, are short and fleeting. Treasure them while you can :)
yes i agree with u kids are rude I hate them there's no respect to their mom if they stay in iraq may be their life worst then now but they not greatfull cz their not respect to the mother they should help their mother to learn korean and also help her to facing new life in korea!!!
Arab woman always strong ,,, and bear all Aldharov and faithful to her husband, her children ,,, beautiful and I'm afraid that Inso our language and Arabic😒
This is so heartbreaking. I pray that she finds comfort, she is such a strong great mother. And I hope that her kids appreciate all that she does for them.
This was hard for me to watch! My family was apart when I was younger and it brought back memories. She is a strong mother.I will have this family in my prayers.I hope she learns Korean and opens up a bit more to her neighbours. They will be a great help and she will have company, too.Lots of hugs from me.

when her mom cried and shouted at them and then sobbed, it reminded me when I was a kid and when mu mom was in bad relationships, she would scream at them on phone and just sob very hard later on, I used to feel so sad that someone hurt my mom and she couldn't share her problems with anyone cause our mom and dad didn't talk with one another. But bad times shall pass by even though it may not seem like it, my mom's the happiest she has ever been and we're doing great. Bad times makes the bond stronger and harder too, that's the tricky part of hard times in life.
As an Arab myself, I find it so hard to watch Arab's kids and families all over the Middle East live such hard life, in iraq, Palestine, Syria.. if they choose to stay in their countries they will die, and if they choose to leave, they will live a really hard life... this mother from a well-educated woman to woman with no job, only cuz she left her country.. that's so heart broken.... yusra habibti you are such a great woman, I respect you and all Arabs women who works so hard and never ask for help from any one even there own families... hope all Arabic countries will be on peace, that day will come, we will keep fight.. tell we have our lives back... stay strong, you are such a powerful woman.. ❤️
Your word and your feelings 😫 ! I hope all arabic family and the all in anther country live agood life and have agood food good job school for the kids and .....) Sorry for my english I know it's not good 😔 !.
Joe Recon allah is just their word for God. if you only took the time to learn, their religion acknowledges Jesus but their prophet is Muhammed. but they praise the same God that Christians do
aznfangrl612 FYI ive been raised a muslim now a christian. I know all about this. The god of islam is NOT the same god in christianity. YOU are the one that needs to learn. In christianity Jesus is seen as the Son of God and is equally divine. In Islam Jesus is seen merely as a prophet. Allah and the God of christiaintiy taught different teachings and if you study the two holy scripture you will find the two are completely different.
Finally!!! Finally a parent in this show that teaches their mother tongue to their children! It is the only way that they won't feel aparted from their roots and it will give them an advantage when they are older.
intnasg Well we learn on school dutch english french and german , and farsi is my mothers language and the other languages i learn on apps, books and watching movies that language with english subtitles it works!
How I am crying for this family! I raised my 2 sons on my own in my own country and that was difficult. What about raising them alone in a foreign country. It brought tears to my eyes.
I was very happy when the man let her work with him. Seeing all the store owners who rejected her and weren’t understanding of her broke my heart. Shes a great mother and should be proud of herself for working so much to make sure she feeds her kids and let them have a good education
My goodness! How many times will this show make me cry..😭💞 this show really touches the viewer's heart..esp. if they understand the words these foreign people speak..

I'm crying when she is crying. Mother is really the strongest person in this world. They even will swallow their pride or even not eating for their kids. Every mother.

it is very heartbreaking and unfair!!!
oh and so happy to see alberto yaaay wish he would be always on this show :)
the mom is a fighter, she works so hard for her family, and the children were lovely... hoping for the best for them and that the whole family can be together soon
I havn't even watch the episode that I feel already sad the description is heartbreaking.. 😣😣

we...muslims....we love everybody and we respect all the religions.....isis is not us,we hate them...quran didn't tell us to do like what they are doing....just trust us ,we are good ....and we really love you!
Ahmad Sayyad أحمد الصياد exactly
yah don't justify other people's acts
Oh i was wrong they are not korean ,japanees and chinees people i made search now 😅😅 but also there is muslim countries between them also india i don't think that we hate them also one of the biggest channels here is for indian drama ( my grandma whatcs it a lot ) but i think that the only think we say about indian peopl that their drama has a lot of imagin or people is so powerful because he can stop a car by a kick and when he punches someone he makes him fly far away also some time times he can avoid a shot 😵😵😵😵./ But there is countries there who kills muslims in a very bad ways in a huge numbers 😔😔😔😔😔 i think that you don't know this.😔
What an incredible strength!!! So much respect for Yusra!!! Really wish the family can be reunited!! Your in my prayers!!!
XxxMuseluverxxX it's hard to see it when your young
Yea, they are smart kids tho. They will look back and regret the way they acted here.
XxxMuseluverxxX oh
Me too feel bad especially when they refuse to learn Arabic.
It's the only way you guys able to communicate with your parents, not with Korean...
yes i agree with u
kids are rude I hate them
there's no respect to their mom
if they stay in iraq may be their life worst then now
but they not greatfull cz their not respect to the mother
they should help their mother to learn korean and also help her to facing new life in korea!!!
Arab woman always strong ,,, and bear all Aldharov and faithful to her husband, her children ,,, beautiful and I'm afraid that Inso our language and Arabic😒

Those people who gave her work were so kind, I fall in love with korea everyday. It makes me wanna leave Australia and settle there
This is so heartbreaking. I pray that she finds comfort, she is such a strong great mother. And I hope that her kids appreciate all that she does for them.
Those Kids are amazing!...Smart, with goals in mind and playfull, I hope
they´ll achive all good stuff in life...God bless them!!!

I cannot describe in words how much I respect and admire this woman. I wish there was a way we could see how they are doing now
The way her daughter comfort her, it breaks my heart.
Big respect to all the mothers.
KBS seem to be covering many Muslims families
so sad they're living hard and still paying a high price for their existence... there is only one God .
and it aint allah
Joe Recon allah is just their word for God. if you only took the time to learn, their religion acknowledges Jesus but their prophet is Muhammed. but they praise the same God that Christians do
aznfangrl612 You're right Jews, Christians, and Muslims praise the same God 😊 shame people don't know
aznfangrl612
FYI ive been raised a muslim now a christian.
Joe Recon it's funny and sad how u took the mere chance to turn it into religious talk 😑
I cried bro

Yeah. It would be nice to see how the families from back then are now. Hope it turned out well for them

@ Joseph is the English/European version of the Hebrew name Yosef.
Finally!!! Finally a parent in this show that teaches their mother tongue to their children! It is the only way that they won't feel aparted from their roots and it will give them an advantage when they are older.
엄마 파이팅 하세요. That must be hard to live another country. Dont givenup. You are the best mom.
its very impressive that these children can speak korean and arabic.... the two languages i want to speak *sigh*
Do it!!! It brings so much to learn a language

then learn it
Just learn it!! ^^ I speak also now farsi, dutch, english, french, german and some Chinese and filipino and its easy if you just try!

I feel so much for this family. I really hope and pray that good things will come their way.
i hope they’re living happily now 💗
How I am crying for this family! I raised my 2 sons on my own in my own country and that was difficult. What about raising them alone in a foreign country. It brought tears to my eyes.
This episode was so emotional for me their mom is a strong woman I only wish the best for her ❤
I was very happy when the man let her work with him. Seeing all the store owners who rejected her and weren’t understanding of her broke my heart. Shes a great mother and should be proud of herself for working so much to make sure she feeds her kids and let them have a good education
Thank God all the Korean people's so friendly....proud.
THIS was the saddest episode I think,I hope their situation gets better
My goodness! How many times will this show make me cry..😭💞 this show really touches the viewer's heart..esp. if they understand the words these foreign people speak..
I am glad she keeps teaching them arabic even though it's not Korea's language. Don't lose where you came from!!!

They are amazing family. Their circumstances in Iraq challenged themselves to be way beyond themselves before and be stronger, greater and be more thankful for everything they have now. So proud of them.
And love Aya(dream to be idol) so much , she's cheerful and lovely girl.
