I met him because I was in Suwon with my boyfriend this summer, and I can tell you he's really nice and pays attention to his customers a lot. Also Pastel was delicious, as a french person I never tried brazilian food and it was really yummy. David Hwaiting!
Shout out to the mother in law's friend for pointing out that if she were to go his country she wouldn't know how to communicate either #realmvp
Well so what? She isn't in his country, he's in theirs. 🙄🙄🙄
@@anthyavila9726 Yea but if she were in his would she be able to speak his language? No. Knowing multiple languages is better than just knowing one. All I'm saying is he couldve said the same this and then maybe she'll understand what shes saying to the guy.
He is really nice gentleman. It is not easy to learn other language as he is not exactly young. I am glad their in laws are very nice people! This couple really loves each other. Stay strong! You guys can do it.
I can't believe their putting so much pressure on his ability to speak Korean, The guy been in South Korea for 10 months they have to give him time to learn, because when your learning a new language you still think and dream in your first language when your not talking.
all these comments about him not being able to speak korean. he has only been in korea for 10 months! koreans spend all their lives investing in hagwons and thousands of dollars on private english tutors , yet can't even hold a basic conversation when facing a natural english speaker. lol such double standards.
Those Koreans are trying to learn English in Korea where everyone around them but their English teacher speaks Korean. He's been surrounded by Koreans for 10 months! He should at least know basic currency and be able to give people their change. He should at least know a few phrases other than "my mother in law is so annoying" so he can communicate with his customers a bit better. He doesn't know how to respond to "how long have you been in Korea"?? That's basic!
This isn't a double standard. The immersion into the language he's experiencing puts him at a distinct advantage to someone learning from a textbook. He's just lazy.
The episode is heavily edited to show the comedic side of their family.
I'm sure he knows basic currency running a business and knows more phrases than "my mother in law is so annoying". I think it's pretty unfair to call him lazy when he is running a business, learning a new language and trying to adapt to a whole new culture that's polar opposite from where he comes from. He has sacrificed so much leaving his family in Brazil, friends, and so much more to accommodate his wife's life in Korea and in-laws. You probably have no idea how much this guy wants to learn Korean to fulfill his life. He is definitely not lazy, I'll tell you that for sure.
Bruh 10 months is not little it's almost a year he's just being lazy I learned how to write and read Korean in 2 weeks and after 2-3 months I can handle a basic conversation and create small sentences !! It would be better if you live with Koreans and surrounded by Koreans and he didn't even learn basics !!! I hate people like him
lol coming from a guy with the last name kim....and the guy is still technically trilingual so probably speaks more languages than you. lol
Chan Park girl* I speak 3 languages and I want to speak more languages and I'm still 15 duh
Some people on this show have been in korea for years and can't speak a word of Korean and have no jobs. Cut this guy some slack. People are exaggerating. I know it would be hard for me aswell to adapt koreas manners etc.
BLACK PINK wait I don’t recall any who have been in Korea for YEARS and don’t know ANY korean? Not a single person in this show has been like that?
@@dilkuc6003 there's a person who stayed in korea for 27 years and couldn't speak korean so check before
I was so happy when he started to speak in portuguese. finally something i understand
i already adore this family, and i haven't even finished the episode! both sora & david are lovely, fun, and hardworking-especially david working so hard on a food truck with his limited korean! sora's family is also sweet so far & seem to be fond of david.
edit: finished the episode-this is DEFINITELY one of my favorites! they obviously find some things annoying about one another, but the respectful & funny manner in which they deal with it is adorable and filled with love.
The mother in law's friends are funny lol
They seems more rational than the mom especially the one that talked more
Sora's dad is so charming. I love his "i don't give a f.." nonchalant attitude. So cute.
Handsome too
They're the most loveliest couple yet! They act like a young teen couple :) so cute
I've been studying Korean for a fucking year and learned less than 40%, don't blame people for not learning a new language faster! Our languages are completely different from each other, Portuguese is written in a different order, words have gender, verbs have more than 10 conjugations, there isn't such thing as honorifics (only formal words like your honor etc), there's no hierarchy between people, the cultures are just too different to be assimilated so fast and people have their own business to take care of. There was a family here where the father couldn't learn Korean because he was too busy working to feed 5 children! Leave them alone
Ele falando em português e eu lendo a legenda , o costume viu kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Vc não tá sozinha, kkkkkk
Att: Actually he has his own establishment in Suwon, still married, has his own house and is taking care of a beatiful daughter
aww omg
i could cry, such a beautiful end TT
People who are judging him never lived in Korea to know that even when you are in the country it takes more than 1 year to learn conversational korean even if you study everyday. You can see he is trying.. it's a process.. it is easier to go to school in Korea, you learn a lot easier when you are younger and studying at school everyday. There many people in Korea who only know few phrases and live there for many years.
For brazilians korean is a very hard language due to the fact theres a gap between portuguese and korean. Generally for us (brazilians) took 2-3 years to being fluent in korean
I love brazilians. they are fun and easy-going unlike most koreans hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it must have been hard for him to adjust himself to a completely different culture. hang in there.I hope they are doing well.
Ele falando "para com isso, tá doida?!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂morri
It was a bit uncomfortable to watch this episode. Please be nice and also show respect to the Brazilian man. International marriages need more attention on mutual understanding and respect of the different cultures.
21:59 AAHAHAHAHHAHAAH morri , "pára com isso tá doida "
dei um berro KKKKKKKKKKK
Ri muito nessa cena, tive q dar pause
Daniela Lopes eu amo o brasileiro

LMAO why he look like John Oliver????
badgal.lilly lol that's exactly what I thought when I saw the thumb nail 😂😂😂 that why I clicked it
Well I didn't expect John Oliver to have a Brazilian doppelganger.
@@mdo7 you cleary havent seen a lot pf brazilians lol
@@gianinnakarla I'm aware Brazilians are really diverse.
@@mdo7 yeah but like, there are a lot of doppelgangers here, theres even a video of 5 doppelgangers of 5 different famous people meeting
David's mother-in-law's friend spoke the truth hahaha
People getting upset at him for his mannerisms and language but not everyone likes to assimilate and I don't blame him. If it were me, I'd learn the language and learn the customs but I'm not going to erase my identity and forget where I'm from just to appease others. Because I notice it seems like the foreigners, the men in particular, get all these criticisms for every little thing, the women do as well, but I always get the vibe that the Korean family is trying to break the old version and build up this Korean version. Couldn't be me.
One thing I noticed in this show is how when there are children involved, the children don't seem to have a care or interest in their foreign parents culture and history, they just want to be Korean and still get ridiculed for it. I think that instead of raising your children in one culture that they need to accept and understand where both parents are from.
He working so most his time are used so who he going to learn . He actually learned a lot
such a cute couple you can tell he loves her
the father in law is so cute
I love that woman who stood up for him to mother in law
The wife can speak fluent Portuguese and probably English. He really needs to focus more on learning the language to improve his buisness and communicate with the in laws
English and Portuguese are both languages that you can do something with. What can you do with Korean nowadays (besides consuming Korean language entertainment from the source)? The answer to this question is exactly the reason why he doesn't speak Korean, and also, the reason why his wife speaks English and Portuguese (it was useful for her, since she was volunteering in portuguese speaking countries too).
But i do agree with you that he needs to focus more on learning the language. He's living in the country after all.
dokess Ezeaka He's been in Korea for less a year, CHILL
thats the problem is everyone only spoke korean he would learn korean right away!
yeah but do you know how long his wife took to learn brazilian portuguese? It took me way more than 10 months to learn it
OMG Finally a Brazilian on the show!
BR poha
The Mom is so funny I love her already hahaha she's so loving
Brazilian are more relaxed culture so don't blame him it's hard to legit do a 180 on the way you behaved for 20+ years
Relaxed? We are one of the most estressed out nations in the world.
@@KyuLegendas2 according to what statistic?
@@benl9325 acording to everyone who lived even a week in brazil. Brazilians are stressed and workaholics but to ppl outside we just have carnival and play football 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Relaxed? Brazilians are generally very workaholic. Before high school we start to study to get ready for the labour market, a lot of young people work as intern while they are studying at the college and according to our laws we can look to work as intern from 16 years. But due to the media which like to show samba and soccer and believe we are relaxed
Davi, me chama ai pra trabalhar vendendo pastel que eu vou kkkkkkkkk
JANNA gaming TAMBÉM QUERO SKSJKS
The family interactions are funny, cute and hilarious! The father in low is a laid back and calm man, the mother in love is honest but polite, the wife is energetic and the husband seems like a little clueless, optimistic forigner that struggles with culture and language but still tries his best to adapte.
Finalmente um brasileiro no programa.....
The father in law is so funny 😂
Today they live in Korean, have a lovely daughter and he has a brazilian cafeteria/ store.
Portuguese sounds so gooooood
I’m really curious how my mother language sounds to non portuguese speakers, can you explain me?
@@Ribeiro332 queira saber também aaaaaaaa
@@Ribeiro332 it's sounds beautiful to me. Very interesting language.
David and his mother in law bond look like mom and son relationships😂😇
Meu Deus ele é brasileiro raiz. kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Realmente kkkkk
He is soo sweet very nice guy
So far the best episode 🥰
They're such a happy cheerful family.❤❤
07:24 - 08:06 thank you for using Tomorrow, Today #JJProject as background music. Music director of KBS variety shows is the best. 👏🏼👍🏼
i felt watching a dorama hahaha that family is really funny
Such a long time, I was crying
"David, Não lave a louça ou as roupas, É trabalho de mulher" a não
eu realmente espero que ele esteja brincando aaaa credo
I think he really needs to try hard to learn, and understand how different the culture is. Korean culture is very different than mine but I still respect it when I am there.
Brazil here 😂😉😉😉😉
they are a very loving couple. 300K is still cheap for a 3 bedroom. come to Canada in Toronto and Vancouver where ull get max a studio for 300K. 3 bedroom is over 700K here
peopleeee he's been in korea for just 10 months!!! would a korean learn how to speak Brazilian Portuguese (one of the hardest languages grammatically) in 10 months??
Wow so blessed with JJ PROJECT song tomorrow, today at 7:26 😍😍😍
He seems really naive for a 37 y.o... or maybe he just really wanted to get out of there. But if the bank only lends 70% like the only thing he could do is getting a full-time employment instead or working more to save more
I like the father in law. He's so cool 😄
Finally someone from Brazillll
Ahh I got so happy when Tomorrow, Today jj project was playing at 7:25 to 8:06 🙌🏼❤️
Caracas! É o david!
Reconheci pelo Coreano Oline haha ♡
Você pode me dizer se eles têm alguma rede social??
@@lynn___.9_9 oi! Não saberia dizer
I’m not far in and my impression of this couple is they are A++++ (plus x 4). I like how they are playful. Also, I imagine it is hard to learn Korean. I only know 7 to 10 words. I learned from having English subtitles on Korean shows & UA-cam channels on here. And the noodles around the 34:00 mark or so, look good.
The Korean classes by mother-in-law are the most funny 😆 😄
suka banget sama acara ini! hehe no Rasis!
Coreano❤❤
I want the father in law as my father in law lol .. He is amazing.
KAKAKKAKA COMO É BOM ENTENDER ALGO KAKAKAKKAK🇧🇷🙌
non asians are too over-represented on this show, since the overwhelming majority of foreigners in korea are asian (chinese, viet, thai...)
The funest episode especially the dad😭😭
His in-laws are cool though; they're willing to communicate even if David won't be able to understand. Mother's friend has a point that if if it was the other way around, the mother would be the same(as David in SK) if she was living in Brazil, so better to teach him. I think he's comfortable not speaking Korean there because his wife speaks Brazilian to him. It would be different if the wife doesn't and he would be forced to learn more Korean.
Portuguese*
you should always check the pockets but who keeps cigarette buds in their pockets???????
Im so agree with the mother in law 's friend haha
The food that he sells in my country es called "Pastelito" but is round, i allways eat that on breakfast♥
puahahaha i relate to him shaving his whole body for 30min, since i'm a middle eastern girl i have to do the same
His korean accent is just so cute
everyone "jjp" i dont even know what that is
but yeah I WAS WAITING FOR THIS SHOW MAN
JJP is a duo of jinyoung and jaebum from got7, you can hear their song in the ep that's why
Jeon Jungkook JJP is the JJ project (thats their duo group name) with 2 of the members from got7
ooh thank you guys!!
He should've taken classes in Brazil before he went to Korea
alicia.k bhandal in Brazil its difficult to find a place to learn Korea
Is hard to find places in Brazil to learn korean, most of them are in São Paulo, but is not anyone who has enough money or time to learn korean or even live in São Paulo. Also the materials on internet are not so good since most of them use romanization and the romanization of korean is based on english, but our mother language is portuguese. Also theres a gap between korean and portuguese, all the substantives in portuguese has gender, the verbs has more than 10 conjugations, theres no honorifics but pronouns of treatment (like your highness), the vowals can have accents and in the korean language is practically the opposite. For us (brazilians) korean is a very hard language and I believe is the same with portuguese to koreans, generally took 2-3 years for us to being fluent in korean.
I really like the father omggggg
good, keep on mixing, Kimchi and burrito, bravo encore
lmao, now I want a girl from S.K.
Lmao, you're as ignorant as your comment. Having some geography and/or foreign cultures knowledge is not a bad thing, you know, it helps you to not look dumb on the internet.
I think i should congratulate you for accomplishing that in 2017. Lacking such basic knowledge having unlimited access to information is not an easy task.
sa, I was talking about S K.
Kimchi and Pastel * sounds better hahha
omggg tomorrow today is playiiiiiiiiiiing JJP
Tão satisfatório ouvir ele falar português brasileiro kkkk
the mom's friends are hilarious
the father in law looks like he doesn't want to be there right now
JJ PROJECT YASSS
Finalmente um br
Do any of you know what song they played on @7:43 ?? Its sounds familiar but my memory's kinda hazy
The house is actually really cheap for a three-bedroom... in Canada, the houses are half a million and only has 1-2 bedrooms (depends which province tho)
Ele é brasileiro aaaaaaa socorrooo

I wish he would try to learn Korean harder. He’s already very close with the in laws.
He is very good man I hope he learn Korean language first so that he don’t get frustrated or other people get frustrated. At the same time people should understand that learning other languages are difficult.
Korean people are soooo critical? Thats why i caint get married to one. No offense
