After Adam and Eve (man) sinned, death came into the world, that is why life spans started to decrease. I don't get why as christians you seem to not be satisfied with the obvious fact that long ages are simple true, not metaphorical or multiplies in any kind. When you get to Moses, David, Salomon, life spans are comparable to the 21st century's. All of it makes sense.
