You are actually wrong here. I use mod.io/g/drg/m/more-enemy-attackers mod that allows me to have 180(60 ground, 60 air, 60 swarmers) on me at any given time. But i modified this mod specifically for tsunami difficulty - 360 (120 ground, 120 air, 120 swarmers). I didn't want this challenge run to be easy for me with increased enemy aggro because increasing cap to any value past 360 would lead to kiting all bugs in 1 tunnel + 1 drak overheat to kill the entire swarm. Challenge should be a challenge at the end of the day. Now lemme explain how MEA works with tsunami - imagine 600 bugs spawned in first seconds of the swarm. 360 bugs are permanently on me. For instance, i killed 120 ground, 20 air and 56 swarmers. Mod will pick new 120 ground, 20 new air units & 56 swarmers from the same 600 previously spawned bugs to keep the 360 cap. Newly spawned won't get affected by MEA until i deal with initial 600 bugs. You can clearly see this happening when i triggered a swarmer nest -> 9:45. Those randomly wandering bugs -> 11:47 in the last cave are not affected by MEA because i haven't cleared all previously spawned bugs.
