Was The Quran Really Preserved? It Doesn't Matter!

- Muslims claim that the Quran has been perfectly preserved and that this is miraculous. I have more than 10 problems with this claim.
Correction: No idea why I said "attributed to Uthman." There is no Quran that is attributed to Uthman. There is only one claimed to come from the time of Uthman but none of that is verifiable.

Perfectly preserved book doesn’t need recurrent standardizations like the way Uthman burnt all the original manuscripts and the dumping of variants in the Nile River in Cairo in 1924
Perfect religion but can’t withstand any critique.

I don't think that is historically accurate. Many of the Greek writings come from late manuscripts, few manuscripts (some we only have one copy of, which is not good because we can't do textual criticism on it), translations etc.
There is a solution. Allah can open his own bookstore dedicated to selling only the official version of the Quran. He could send Muhammad specifically for book signings.

I have a solution, why not have Allah try to re-type the quran on my keyboard??!! Oh wait, he can't do that since I've been begging ...
Please do whatever prayer you wish to get your god to type "Hi" on my keyboard (without the quotes) to show the world your god is not a fantasy. Thank You.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Think about it. The Islamic empire were so big from Morocco to Indonesia. And not all of Muslims spoke Arabic. We had so many different languages. Not only that, we’ve gone through so many hardships throughout the history. The Mongols destroyed the Abbasid caliphate and burned the library of Baghdad which was the biggest library in the world if not in history. The same thing happened in Spain. And in the 19th century more 90% of Muslim countries were colonized by non Muslim countries. Yet we still have one version. I mean our enemies could’ve easily sneaked some words and rules in our book. Who would’ve realized that⁉️ . And if someone tried to deny what they could’ve been added to it, their argument would’ve been a clue of not being preserved because we would’ve have had so many groups with different languages arguing about which one is correct and what is not. Which is not the case here. because as I said people were spread all over the map and you know how difficult and long it took to travel from one place to another. We would’ve had so many versions and it doesn’t matter which one is authentic. as matter of fact this is what happened to the Christians and the Jews when the Romans and Bakhnsar took over Jerusalem one after another.
What about the books of interpretation⁉️ huh! They contain the same Quran and they date back to hundreds of years ago.
@La Tusalih Dear me, go learn how to reason. All you muslims do is beg the question of your choosing. Stop it. If you care about the truth and not your emotions (I understand, I would also like 72 pale virgins to jack me off and kiss me all day but come on), look at this: Mohammed said that Judgment Day would follow shortly after Constantinople fell to Muslims. Muslims failed to capture it. Turks later did. Both of these events dismantle the prophecy. Period. You can choose to believe whatever you want but know that your belief is contradictory to reason. Know also that islam has caused immeasurable pain, suffering, death, rape, and terror and continues to do so. I beg you, be human. Your time to be human is nigh. Islam is about control. Saying that only the afterlife matters and promising you things you can't possibly verify... is deception. Control. A warlord's tactic and rhetoric. Please, man, be a man. Take your family and yourself out of islam. Follow a more noble religion. Be a man i beg you.
Canonized in 1988.

Those verses were abrogated not eaten by a sheep and they were about "Brustfeeding" not "adult Brustfeeding". For the sake of argument even if we agree that they were eaten by a sheep it still doesn't effect the preservation of Quran cuz those verses were already memorised by Sahaba like Umar ibn Khattab, Zayd bin Thabit etc.
The authentic ahadith of Aisha RA crearly say that those verses were abrogated and not eaten by a sheep. I have studied this Topic.
@@Struggler410 yes I have. I was expecting a response like the one you gave.
Muslim apologists will go against centuries of Islamic scholarly consensus; they will throw the most highly esteemed scholars under the bus; they will go back and forth with hadiths, trying to discredit the most reputable like Sahih Al Bukhari, and using an obscure reference from a hadith that supports their argument, even though it comes from a questionable hadith and is one assertion against many that agree on the opposite.
This is what you are doing. It is comical to watch Muslim apologists discredit, lie, and misrepresent their own highly respected sources, throw the most highly esteemed scholars under the bus (past and present)-just to "be right" and cover up and uncomfortable truth.
Why? Because Islam is all about deception. And as the deception is being revealed to the general public, and many people are becoming educated about Islam, the apologists are scrambling to explain, justify, and cover up.
The common tactic is to provide a moving target. By constantly trying to redefine what hadiths are reputable. I have heard from many apologists all contradicting each other. You are not the authority on the subject. Neither am I.
Who is the authority? Centuries of Muslim scholars and majority opinion of Muslims who all agree on which hadiths are the most reliable, which ones are not.
Mohammed and his followers including Aisha, who set forth the doctrine of abrogation, and clearly stated events like the one you are trying to deny.
Yes, Mohammed did command women to breastfeed men ten times to negate possible adultery. Not surprising coming from a pervert who consummated a marriage to a nine year old girl.
Yes, those verses and others were eaten by a sheep while Aisha & Co. were mourning the death of Mohammed, due to being poisoned from one of his victims.
But you will probably try to say that he was never poisoned LOL.
I don't care about some refutation. Thats nothing new, as i said before Muslim apologists are pathological liars, especially now that there is public awareness.
There are many examples on here of the most popular muslim apologists telling the most outrageous lies to stadiums full of gullible people who would believe anything they say.
One says that Alexander the Great founded the catholic church in Rome 300 years before Jesus LOL.
Zaker Naik claims that Mohammed is mentioned by name in Song of Songs, in a love poem between king solomon and his wife.

1) The names of the persons who corrupted those books
2) Exactly when did those books get corrupted?
3) Was Bible corrupted first or was Torah corrupted first? If one was corrupted before another then why God didn't try to preserve the latter?
4) Why did Islam's God say "I will preserve Quran" when in reality it was humans (Muhammad's companions & students) who memorised it in order to preserve it?
There are lots of questions like these which islam fails to answer.

@Can'tFightThisFeeling Yes. In Quran everything that Islam's God says is vague and without substantial evidence to support it. It seems like he is saying "I am God. Trust me bro"🤣
The reason Islam says the Torah and holy Bible are corrupt is because they are doing a defense of the quaran by going on an offense.
The means, the quaran is very flawed and clearly BADLY plagerised with lots of missing important details from both the old and new testament. So to counter that Islam says that the reason it's missing all this info and correct information is not because the quaran is wrong, but rather those other holy books are corrupt and have incorrect and added info that shouldn't be there.
It's rather crudely clever for it's time, by projecting they placed the other faiths on the defensive. Even though we all know(well, mostly all know) that it's definitely the quaran that is poorly written.
A perfectly preserved book does not mean it is divine in any way. I'm not aware of any message love, peace and goodwill towards all mankind in the quran.
ua-cam.com/video/mD4VUSBVCM0/v-deo.html
"...does not mean it is divine."
I think the question if it is "divine" is interesting.
Quran uses "selfreference" but never mentions that it was created.
If it is eternal, without beginning in time and divine, does Islam have two gods or is it like Christians understand it that God and his word are one?
However, I see the Quran as a kind of Idol for Islam, as a placeholder for allah on earth :)

So the same message we get from the preservation of the Quran.
godwin’s law
I'm all for criticizing Islam, but in order to do that we need to be honest about what Muslims actually say. Muslims don't claim that "all" perfectly preserved books are divine. Muslims don't believe that photo-copies or facsimiles, for example, have anything to do with the supernatural. Muslims make a distinction between ordinary texts (like Mein Kampf) and the text of the Quran, because the Quran (unlike most other books) actually claims to be divine. Thus, the preservation of the Quran could be evidence in favor of that claim (i.e. perfect preservation is a necessary, though not a sufficient, condition for divinity). By the same token, consider the following sentence:
1. If Jake goes outside today, then Jake will play baseball.
This applies to Jake, and only to Jake. Playing baseball is a necessary condition for his being outside (i.e. if he doesn't intend to play baseball, then he definitely won't go outside). We can't say that "everyone" who goes outside today will likewise play baseball, just as the Muslim claim about the Qur'an says nothing about the status of other books.

Quran is indeed destructive to the brain.
There was a verse in the Qur'an when a lot of muslims kept coming to the house of Mohammad for food and he was not comfortable with them staying longer after eating but was shy to tell them off. It was Allah who now send down additional page of the Qur'an, telling Gabriel to tell Mohammad to tell the people that he (Mohammad) was not pleased with the people coming and not leaving on time, but was very shy to say it. So the people should leave immediately after eating.
The crazy thing about the whole scenario is that, it was still the same Mohammad telling the people how he felt when they kept hanging around for long time in his house.

It never made sense to me that a divine and perfectly written book needs to be interpreted by mortals. My question would be if the book is from God and God is perfect, then what gives mortal and fallible men the authority to interpret it? Do those interpreters believe that God is capable of mistakes that need correcting? If so, the argument that God is all perfect goes out the window.
To add. On top of the confusing book there are also nothing else that's perfect being created anywhere in the multiverse. Not one. Creation it seems is nothing but rotten. Pain, suffering and destruction for everything. Even for those who worships.
I love these philosophical questions! Well let see if God were perfect but mankind is flawed(let's say for arguments sake due to original sin). Then anything in contact with mankind can be interpreted incorrectly (either on purpose or accidental). But if God is perfect then anything he created within his realm remains perfect.
So a holy book created or thought up by God in his heavenly realm stays perfect but once that said book is given to mankind in our own physical existence, then said book is prey to corruption of any kind, whether it be physical or interpretive, etc...
So technically you can still keep the idea that God is perfect, but that a now flawed mankind can render things corrupted.
Of course this is all fun talk, and could have many possible ways of thinking about this.
You don't think the word of a perfect being would need imperfect beings to interpret it correctly?
Your not making sense.

Injecting this thought of yours really begs the question. Do you have no counterargument that you had to rely on this strawman? When did they say that thought that you obviously came up with?

Think about it. The Islamic empire were so big from Morocco to Indonesia. And not all of Muslims spoke Arabic. We had so many different languages. Not only that, we’ve gone through so many hardships throughout the history. The Mongols destroyed the Abbasid caliphate and burned the library of Baghdad which was the biggest library in the world if not in history. The same thing happened in Spain.
The content of that verse you mentioned is known it’s not lost. however, the story is not authentic.

Yes, when Muslims accuse the christian and Jewish books of being corrupt they often laugh about it, failing to see that their “God” technically failed to protect his previous books, that’s not something I would be laughing at, I’d be questioning it.

We have perfectly preserved the Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas, and we preserved a masterpiece
I'm all for criticizing Islam, but in order to do that we need to be honest about what Muslims actually say. Muslims don't claim that "all" perfectly preserved books are divine. Muslims don't believe that photo-copies or facsimiles, for example, have anything to do with the supernatural. Muslims make a distinction between ordinary texts (like the works of Dumas) and the text of the Quran because the Quran (unlike most other books) actually claims to be divine. Thus, the preservation of the Quran could be evidence in favor of that claim (i.e. perfect preservation is a necessary, though not a sufficient, condition for divinity). By the same token, consider the following sentence:
1. If Jake goes outside today, then Jake will play baseball.
This only applies to Jake. Playing baseball is a necessary condition for his being outside (i.e. if he doesn't intend to play baseball, then he definitely won't go outside).
Yet, clearly, this doesn't imply that "everyone" who goes outside today will likewise play baseball, just as the Muslim claim about the Qur'an says nothing about the status any other book.
@@alanbishopman I know that,I was just making a joke that is actually a true statement. I did not really state specifically that because this work is perfectly preserved it automatically means that it is divine. It's just the work of a genius.

Some people said everybody trusted the prophet including the enemies, but the Quran said there are people around the prophet that don’t trust the prophet. They accuse the prophet of stealing as explained in the verse and tafsir below.
Sura / Chapter: Aal-Imran (3).
Ayat / Verse: 161.
Revelation Order: 89.
( 161 ) It is not [attributable] to any prophet that he would act unfaithfully [in regard to war booty]. And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged.
Tafsir ibn Kathir:
(161) Abu Dawud 5:345, Tuhfat Al-Ahwadhi 8:109.
Treachery with the spoils of War was not a Trait of the Prophet
Allah said,
{ It is not for any Prophet to illegally take a part of the booty }.
Ibn 'Abbas, Mujahid and Al-Hasan said that the Ayah means, “It is not for a Prophet to breach the trust” Ibn Jarir recorded that, Ibn 'Abbas said that this ayah.
{ It is not for any Prophet to illegally take a part of the booty }
was revealed in connection with a red robe that was missing from the spoils of war of Badr. Some people said that the messenger of Allah might have taken it. When this rumor circulated. Allah sent down.
{ It is not for any Proplret to illegally take a part of tlte booty, and who so ever is deceitful with the booty, shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took.}
This was also recorded by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, who said “Hasan Gharib”. This Ayah exonerates the Messenger of Allah of all types of deceit and treachery be it returning what was entrusted with him. dividing the spoils of war. etc.
Allah then said,
{ And whosoever is deceitful with the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took, Then every person shall be paid in full what he has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. }
This Ayah contains a stern warning and threat against Ghulal (stealing from the booty and there are also hadiths that prohibit such practice, Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Malik Al-Ashja’I said that the prophet said,
{ The worst Ghulal (i.e. stealing) with Allah is a yard of land, that is, when you find two neighbors in a land or home and one of them illegally acquires a yard of his neighbor's land. When he does, he will be tied with it from the seven earths until the day of Resurrection. }
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Humayd As-Sa'idi said, “The Prophet appointed a man from the tribe of Al-Azd, called Ibn Al-Lutbiyyah, to collect the Zakiih. When he returned he said, ‘This (portion) is for you and this has been given to me as a gift.’ The Prophet stood on the Minbar and said,
{ What is the matter with a man whom we appoint to collect Zakah, when he returns he said, ‘This is for you and this has been given to me as a gift.’ Why hadn't he stayed in his father’s or mother’s house to see whether he would be given presents or not? By him in whose hand my life is, whoever takes anything from the resources of the Zakah (unlawfully), he will carry it on his neck on the Day of resurrection; if it be a camel, it will be grunting; if a cow, it will be mooing; and if a sheep, it will be bleating. The Prophet then raised his hands till we saw the whiteness of his armpits, and he said thrice, ‘O Allah! Haven’t I conveyed your message.’

Muhammad would like that
I think you should have mentioned what Yasir Qadhi said about the preservation of the quran
Allah said he gave Muhammad a book.
Muhammad was never given a book.
"Muhammad received the Word of God for those people at that time, at a time very different from the time that you are living in today. It was a Message for that time, but it also contained the seeds of greater wisdom and compassion, much of which has been fortunately preserved.
But Muhammad did not compile the Qur’an as he was charged to do, for he perished and died before it could be completed. It was, therefore, assembled by different individuals who had different intentions, and the great Suras of personal revelation were left out. Islam became a religion of obedience and submission, which were necessary at that time especially. But the revelations of personal realization and the Love of God were not included.
It is a problem, you see, a tragedy in its own right, that the great religions were established beyond the lifetime of the great Messengers, a problem that has been repeated many times with many unfortunate consequences."

Hi AP! Have you taken a look at Marijn van Putten’s recent Twitter thread on Q 19:26? He demonstrates that the variant found in the San’aa Palimpsest is either the original, or something closer to the original, compared to what we have in today’s ‘Uthmaanic rasm (text). It’s quite explosive stuff.
This, and the interpolations found in other parts of the same surah (Q 19:1-63), is sufficient in refuting this false religion.
Great clip... even if we grant we have the words directly from Muhammad, this still doesn't prove anything but human exertion in an effort to maintain the tradition. The Muslims could easily have seen the problem with the two previous Abrahamic textual traditions to try learning from them and getting a textual canon as early as possible.

Charisma Stjames
, Scholar of Theology and Religious Studies
Updated Aug 19, 2020
There are currently 30+ different versions/readings/Qira'ats/ Qurans that exist in the world today.
A Qira'at, in regards to the Quran, is an iteration of the text done by a group of scholars; there were 30 popular ones in Islam.
10 were ‘official readers’ and another 20 were students who worked underneath the readers, known as ‘transmitters’.
They were responsible for looking closely into the 'rasm' (The skeletal structure of the text) and then determined where to put dots and vowels into different places.
Here is a list of the 10 readers
Nafi al-Madani (d. 785 AD)
Ibn Kathir al Makki (d. 738 AD)
Abu'Amr Ibn al-'Ala (d. 770 AD)
Ibn Amir ad-Dimashqi (d. 736 AD)
Aasim Ibn Abi al-Najud (d. 745 AD)
Hamzah az-Zalyyat (d. 773 AD)
Al-Kisa'i (d. 804 AD)
Abu Ja'far (Medina - d. 748 AD)
Ya'qub al-Yamani (Basra - d. 821 AD)
Khalaf (Kufa - 844 AD)
The following is a list of the transmitters
Qalun (835 AD)
Al-Bazzi (d. 864 AD)
Al-Duri (d. 860)
Hisham (d.859 AD)
Shu'bah (d. 809 AD)
Khalaf (d. 844 AD)
Al-Layth (d. 854 AD)
Isa ibn Wardan (d. 777 AD)
Ruways (d. 853 AD)
Ishaq (d. 899 AD)
Warsh (812 AD)
Qunbul (d. 904 AD)
Al-Susi (d. 874 AD)
Ibn Dhakwan (d. 856 AD)
Hafs (d. 796 AD)
Khallad (d. 835 AD)
Al-Duri (d. 860 AD)
Ibn Jummaz (d. 787 AD)
Rawh (d. 849 AD)
Idris (d. 905 AD)
You are able to order any of these online.
Among all these different Qira'ats, there is an overwhelming 93,000 differences.
The one chosen to be the standard Qira'at was Hafs, in 1924. Hafs was a student/transmitter who died in 796 AD. He lived in Kufa.
Futhermore, Hafs was not even one of the 'Readers', nor did he live alongside the prophet Muhammad, nor during the time of King Uthman.
Muhammand Al-Hussaini al-Hadad an Egyptian teacher at the University in Cairo, was asked by the Bureau of Education there, to choose ‘one’ of the Qira'ats as the authoritative one.
He chose Hafs.
His credentials are not known, and no one seems to know why he chose Hafs. This took place in 1924.
The “1400 year old Uthman argument” has only been around for 100 years. It is a recent argument which is currently falling to pieces, since it is utterly failing the test of ‘Historical Criticism’.
The list above, alone, proves this matter, and unfortunately the number of different Qira'ats/Qurans continues to rise as they are being discovered and reported.
In 2016, 26 different Qurans were discovered by Hatun Tash, whom later presented them at the 'Speakers Corner' in London England with the help of Dr. Jay Smith.
They faced heavy opposition despite the clear evidence they had in their hands.
These 2 professionals have devoted many years studying the history of Islam and the authenticity of the Quran. Dr. Jay Smith began his scholarly research in this area during his time in India, and officially began taking on this issue in a public setting since 1995, starting with a debate in Cambridge.
Their findings are a phenomenal breakthrough.
No Muslim has confronted the ‘textual historical analysis’ of the Quran. The 6 manuscripts, each located in their respected places, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Paris, London, Egypt, and Yemen, were never challenged in the field of Academia until 2002-2007, by two Muslim scholars.
Check the difference between Hafs Quran and Warsh Quran
Also check the difference between some verse of Sana Manuscript at the lower side of Sana manuscript which were pre Uthmanic and have variation with today's Standard Quran...
The advert at the beginning saying Mohamed was sent as a mercy to the world cracked me up. Apparently he always ate last, thinking of others first. Shame he didn’t think one way to put others first was not to take advantage of people including a 6 year old girl (going on to defile her when she was just 9). If this doesn’t shock you, you should have your head examined.
Maybe we could have some respect for him had he not been such a perfect example of a false prophet.

Aisha was probably raped when she was 4 because Muhammad was dreaming about her. After he got caught, he had to make up a story to stay alive.
Then Islam was born.
@@latusalihyasalim4872 what one version do you mean out of the 37 that have been found so far?
@@killpridebeforepridekillsy6504 do you understand that there so many Copies from the books of interpretation and Other Islamic parts of the sharia that date back to hundreds of years ago that are similar to the one we have nowadays . And the book that was printed by Azhar that you’re talking about is no different from the others. Don’t talk about Qira’ats. You can print whatever you want, there’s only one that’s been carried on over the centuries up to this point by just reciting that’s the only book Muslims use. Either give me a real evidence or just shut up.
…..and they claim that they follow science when they’re a bunch of depressed people who have no idea what they’re talking about …
Yo bro, you really need to check out CIRA internationals work breaking down the timeline events of the Mecca, and what they uncover about the Qurans original writing. That would add a lot more depth to your argument
A lot of their work that they mention is very speculative, and rarely done by actual scholars. They do point out some interesting evidence, but one needs to be very skeptical of it.

AP, nice job, but I think you also need to mention the Sanad "system" and how that doesn't really add any additional layer of robustness to their argument. I've had that thrown back at me several times in discussions with Muslims - "Ah, but we have the Sanad and it's foolproof because this scholar said this about the [inject Arabic terms] aspect of it..."
7:25 what's wrong with being repetitive? Especially when it stresses the importance of stuff.
Preservation of Qur'an is a belief yet it is touted as proof of its authenticity. Isn't that circularity in argument?
You must believe in Qur'an to subscribe to perfect preservation whose sole proof is the Qur'an itself!
Imagine having to forcefully be in a religion which was made by a man with psychological problems...

It's commin among christians that they have not read the bible, i get the impression amongst muslims, even fewer have read the quran themselves. Or looked honestly and openly at the criticisms
i ❤️ gnostic heresies. are there any suras in the seven manuscripts what are not included in the official quran?
Speaking LOGIC to Muslims is like believing the sun sets in a pool of muddy water! Hahahahahhh!
Not a pool, it’s a spring in murky boiling water. 😆

Can you make a video about the sahabas?
Or why the 90% of the hadiths are from one man named Abu Huraira?p
The holes in the narrative ⭕️⭕️⭕️
This video will be perfectly preserved, second for second. Masha AP
Hi, cant you meet or discuss with Odon Lafontaine and Jay Smith ?
I always thought about religion, and especially about Islam why God has a problem to send a message to people. If you want to say something there is no point to mysterious the message causing division in interpretation. From religious point of view God is almighty and he can create everything out of nothing so why he can’t create understandable book or message that everyone could comprehend without playing believe or not believe
It is irrelevant whether the Holy book is perfectly preserved or not. Many violent and immoral Ayaths should have been deleted or modified to make sense and presentable in the present times.

What violence⁉️ what about the million of non Muslims who have been with us for centuries. Apparently we didn’t kill them
As I understand it the current "perfectly preserved" version of the Koran is from 1924 Egypt ? Previous versions being destroyed. That would make it about as old as Mien Kampf. Hmmm?
