@@TandJgaming You want objective methods to prove that quran is better?
Sure here are few that I know:
Write one chapter (shortest has 3 verses) which has:
      1. 2-3 new words which has never been found or used in that linguistic manner but still makes perfect sense when you read it
      2. be eloquent in it's recitation (using poetic devices)
      3. pleasant to the listener (atleast not horrible)
      5. logically makes sense
      5. be philosophical or religious or historic
      6. be in arabic (since most languages wont be able to pass this)
      7. don't plagiarise word to word (from the quran, copy from bible or whatever)
      8. these verses have to come out in different times with months or years apart and fit the context of that time when the verse comes out but be assigned an order and when put together isnt confusing and still eloquent. (so you can't make these in one sitting)
      good luck

Since you brought up the Big Bang theory, it should be asked do you believe that something like the universe can come from nothing? I believe it is logical and intuitive to believe that a creator i.e God exists because as the kalam cosmological argument asserts :- P1: Anything that comes into being has a cause.
P2: The universe came into being
C: Therefore the universe has a cause.
This cause is best explained by an uncaused, immaterial, timeless, spaceless and enormously powerful being I.e., God

And I'm sure I'd feel that way in temples of Jupiter or Minerva from which churches or on which churches were built and their hymns etc.
Same same. Quran is sung and I say sung to piss them off, in a way to strike awe. A famous experiment was an Arab sheikh on stage asking a Pakistani or bengladshi nonarab to tell him which statement sounded more divine to him and he kept choosing the bullsh!t statement over the quran verse.
These non-Muslim Arabs could've grown in Arab countries where were told from childhood that wow and wow. But then u look at the quran and it's all stupid rhymes sometimes at rhe expense of meaning.
More and more the Arabic language evolved mainly in the Arab golden age mostly around the abassid dynasty and so did Islam, that's when the hadith and sira and tafsir were written and of course backdated. Really goes to show just the amount of human intervention that is involved in the creation of the Quran as a written text.

I've read the Quran twice, separated by many years. While I remember some passages, it seemed pretty dry compared to the rip-roaring parts of the Old Testament, or the delightful adventures in the Ramayana. But the Illiad and the Odyssey were regarded with exactly the same reverence by the ancient Greeks, and they are far more entertaining than any of them, as literature. Of course, Muslims will always tell you that you can't judge the Quran unless you have a perfect understanding of Classical Quranic Arabic ---- a language no longer spoken by anyone. But that isn't much help to 99.99% of its readers. But for sheer inanity and tedium, nothing beats the Book of Mormon.

Finally my husband suggested that we read the Koran together as a regular thing after dinner, so that we could discuss it as we go along.
We could only take it in half-hour to an hour sessions, and it took us two years, but we got through it. Doing it together, we cracked each other up a lot. It was interesting how sometimes we raised questions or cracked up at something and Allah then admonishes his listeners for asking the same questions or for laughing and rolling their eyes. The natural reactions of reasoning minds haven't changed over the centuries.

It’s a tragedy that people think translations are all they need to understand/experience the Quran. Since I know most of you don’t know anything about Classical Arabic, the best way for you to appreciate the Quran is by listening to it being recited and following along with a translation. There are plenty of Quran videos of that format on UA-cam that you can check out-that is if you’re open-minded.

Except there is no reason to think there is a god, you have no way of knowing which god if any exists or any of its characteristics or if any scriptures gives correct life advice except by already knowing what is good or bad to do and comparing it to that knowledge, asking someone to love something you know nothing about and can't know anything about is abusive, the verse about loving your neighbour is only about fellow Israelis and is therefor glorifying racism. On top of that, the advice to not treat people like shit is thousands of years older than the jesus legends and therefor can't even be attributed to jesus even if you fail to read the bible and think it's about everyone.

@@driller7714 Oh, dear. How is it possible that theists such as yourself manage to get literally everything wrong. You get exactly nothing right. Everything you say is wrong, fallacious, or implies something incorrect. But whatever, I have some time to address your stupid shit, so here goes:
_"...you feel the need watch a video about God..."
Nope, I feel the need to watch a video addressing the fallacious thinking required to be religious.
_"...and then comment in the comment section about God."_
Close, but nope, I commented about there being no reason to consider the existence of a god, let alone believe that one can or does exist. I think I didn't even address the fact that the god of the bible isn't and can't be loving in that comment. You're really shit at understanding what you read, or did you just not read it at all?
_"You are doing the same thing as the other person. Expressing your religion."_
So many things wrong with this. Let's start with the simplest: _You are doing the same thing as the other person: expressing your religion._
      Grammar. It's not that hard.
Secondly: playing the pronoun game and making me guess who or what you mean with _the other person._
Thirdly: Conflating different meanings of the word belief so hard that you turned it into the word religion and then projecting the fundamental flaw (faith based on fallacies alone) of your belief system on someone else. Also, muddying the water by making the word religion mean any belief. Also, also, I have no religion.
Forthly(not a word, but whatever): implying that religion makes your opinion invalid - I do like that, it shows you're okay with being the hypocrite that you are, making my pointing it out a lot easier.
Fifthly: Implying that because someone else does something, that makes it okay for you to do something. If I was religious based on the same fallacies required for your faith based religion, that wouldn't make your faith and religion any less stupid and fallacious.
I think that's about it with the fallacies and mistakes in that sentence that you made into two sentences. There are probably a few more but I'm too bored with it to look. What you said there is not just wrong and fallacious but manipulative; you're a terrible person. Jesus would be proud of you for sure.
_"Yes, not believing in God is a religion just as much as believing is."_
ROFL XD And not having cancer is a disease. Only a religious person can think like you: in fallacies only.
_"Believing in nothing is believing in something."_
Manipulatively strawmanning my beliefs and assuming to know what I believe. Is that the "kindness" you want to be treated with? Fine: you believe in zombies.
Anyway, if it was possible to believe in nothing then that would mean exactly that and the person couldn't possibly believe in anything. Your sentence there is directly contradicting itself, but you're too stupid to know what I'm talking about. You didn't make it up or put thought into it; you're just parroting it.
_"You are unsure of your beliefs so you search for others to reassure you."_
Ohhhh, you're, mind reader. You're quite shit at it, probably because you're projecting again. Your religion is based on fallacies alone and requires some mental gymnastics to rationalize it and I know for a fact that everything you said in your comment didn't come from your having thought any of it through. Every word you said is literally parroted from apologists whose existence is solely to reassure believers with fallacies to help rationalize your insecurity in believing unsustainable things that are based only on fallacies.
To prove my point: instead of showing your beliefs aren't fallacious in its foundation, you attacked strawmen and projections in an attempt to imply that the alternative to your beliefs is as pathetic or worse than your beliefs. Even if you were 100% instead of 100% fallacious you would only have shown me to be wrong about what I believe and that doesn't mean that yours is correct. It could still be aliens, or a million other gods, or gods created by pixies, or pixies created by multidimensional fluctuations, or a universe created by multidimensional fluctuations, resulting in a multiverse with random laws of physics where only the possible ones stay and the rest instantly collapse. Point is: you're still wrong in thinking your fallacious thinking that your arrogant certainty in believing a god is the answer can lead you to knowing if your answer is correct or not. You know that you're just guessing and not even using possibilities as options but fantasy, because that is what religion is: fantasy.
_"Then, you try to instill doubt in others about their beliefs in order to bolster your own insecurities."_
Projecting again, pretending to being able to read my mind again and pretending to know my motivations for doing something that is a straw man, again. Also, implying that doubt is a bad thing. You should really think about that one. Religious people are far too arrogant in thinking religion is a good thing and that pretending to know things you can't know or show is good and that relying on fallacies to come to conclusions is normal or good. You're lying, you base your beliefs and actions on fallacies and pretend it's healthy and give it as an example to follow. It's not good or healthy, it's abusive. Your god encourages and requires people to rely on fallacies alone for salvation, or else. Your god isn't loving, it's a made up narcissist and you're a flying monkey and you should be treated as the toxic harm that you are.
_"You should have insecurities. Believing in nothing is more foolish than believing in a creator."_
This again? I'll tell you what, I'll say one thing about it and then just post this comment. I'm hungry and fed up with your bullshit. I have shown that every word you said so far is wrong, fallacious, and manipulative. It's entirely reasonable to assume that this clear and unbroken pattern continues past the end of your comment and until the day you die.
So here's the one thing I'll say about it: at least you admit that believing in a god is foolish XD

@@stylis666 Do you realize how much ignorance and double standard you just blurted out in your nonsensical rant?
Do you also realize that you committed every hypocrisy and fallacy that you accused me of doing?
Yet, you refused to address one of my observations. We still do not have a decent answer as to why a person that knows there is no God is trolling the internet trying to prove there is no God. Why is that? The simple answer, you are trying to convince yourself.
Here is a little experiment you can try in your random world. I’m sure a smart fellow like you has a watch. You probably have a nice watch. Don’t worry, you don’t have to use your nice watch for this experiment. I know you wouldn’t want to lose your nice watch while also prove the existence of God.
Go get yourself a cheap watch with mechanical movement. Take that watch apart. Toss all of the pieces into the air and let them all land on a table. Do this for the rest of your life. Message me when your watch falls back to the table an assembled, functional watch. I’ll wait.
Your watch is much less complicated or precise than the “random” universe that surrounds you. Yet, you will never get that watch to fall together into a functional watch. Assembly is required. Our universe has all of the elements to CREATE life. Yet, it will not happen randomly. Assembly is required. Your watch proves that. Your car, your computer, your loved ones. Yes, your human loved ones. Assembly is required for them as well. Amazing isn’t it? Who assembled you?
      Who assembled your watch?
Next, go outside and pick a leaf off of a tree. Look at the leaf. What are you holding? You are holding a solar panel. A designed, efficient, completely renewable, biodegradable, solar panel that has a higher level of technology in it than the best that your human brain can come up with. Is randomness smarter than you are? I thought you were smart with your grammar corrections and all of that.
Starting to doubt yourself? You should be. Not even Steven Hawking could get his mind around the Big Bang being a random event. I’m sure you have it all figured out though don’t you? You figured it all out in that random brain of yours, the same brain that you can’t figure out.
God does love you. You are disobedient to him and insult his intelligence while you brag about your own. He still lets you live on his earth. He still lets you wake up every day and have one more chance to use that brain of yours and repent.
How many chances should an ignorant man get?
We give our children infinite chances. Why? Because we love them. No matter how many stupid things they do, we give them another chance. How many chances do you deserve?
Like I said in the beginning, you are here because you are scared. You think you know but the only thing you know is that you don’t know. You don’t have the answers. That is your religion. Religion is doing something repeatedly over and over again. Doing the same thing and not knowing why but pretending to know why. Religion is not faith. Faith is trust. With faith you do not have to know why or even to pretend. You just have to trust.
When you can successfully complete the experiment I told you to conduct, you can say you know that there is no God. Until that happens, you know nothing. Until that happens, your religion is ignorance. A religion of a false random universe. Nothing is random friend. You live in a created place. Just as your watch is created.
      God Bless

How an educated person can ever think that someone who can write well in Arabic could not come up with short chapters like the ones near the end of the Quran is beyond me. There are so many outstanding literary works that stand out, as AP says, which have insights and a style that is VERY difficult to reproduce. No one claims that they are divine.

      Anyone can rhyme
At the end of every line
      Even if they’re five

Problem with that challenge is the criteria. Produce something "better". Ok, DEFINE better. It's a subjective quality. Someone might say for example, that the verses I produced were indeed better than the ones in the Quran, but there WILL be others who will say "No... sorry you failed the challenge, these are nowhere near as good", because to them, those verses would either genuinely not sound better or their bias would prevent them from admitting they are (works both ways actually, bias can also make someone say they ARE better).
It's like if I told all the artists: Draw the most beautiful girl you can. And they all draw one, and one of them gets picked as The Most Beautiful. But IS she? Beauty is also a subjective trait, some girl that I find attractive you may not, and some girl you find amazingly hot I might deem average etc, it's because our criteria and tastes are different. Same goes for those verses. Our criteria is different, thus why - without an objective criteria to measure the "goodness" of something, it all boils down to a subjective opinion.
In short, it's a dumb challenge.

Plus most Muslims disagree with you anyway and make the claim that it's referring to the linguistic nature of the Quran and how impressive it was to the Arab poets and that makes a lot more sense even though it's also not mentioned in the Quran either.

Lol. I'm a Christian, and a Muslim apologist once handed me a copy of the quran. I forced myself to read through the entire thing, to earn the right to say I've read the entire Quran. The single most annoying thing about it, is its mind numbingly repeatative. Seriously, if you eliminate every single duplicate in the quran, you can probably reduce the book to 5% of its original size. As I read it, I couldn't help but feel pity on the millions of Muslims who actually believe this kindergarden gibberish is actually the Word of God.
Then there was this guy from the international center of political islam, or something like that, who reordered the Quran in cronological order, with notes from the Haddith to make sense of it. I thought I'd buy it and read the entire thing again. Perhaps this time it would be a better read. Instead, I just felt the same pity all over again.
....and that is not even touching the grossly ignorant misrepresentation of Christian doctrines in the Quran.

So! Allah recites the Qur'an to the angel Jibril who, in turn, recites it to Mohamed (PBUH) who, being unable to write, memorizes the verse, holding it perfectly in mind until he can find someone who can write it down for him on whatever he happens to have on hand: a palm leaf, a piece of leather, tree bark, etc..One would expect that, being the divine Word of Allah, Mohamed (PBUH) would invest some interest in the manuscripts' preservation. Instead, he abandons them to the fates.
Decades later, someone (evidently guided by the hand of the most merciful Allah) somehow manages to collect every single scrap of the Quranic "manuscripts" into a book in precisely the same order in which it was recited to Mohamed (PBUH) by the angel Jibril - free of human contamination or error
    Right!

They do acknowledge that the order it’s compiled in isn’t the same as the order it was revealed in. What’s confusing is how a lot of the individual verses in bigger chapters were revealed later (the today I have made complete your religion one was the last verse revealed supposedly but it’s just one verse in the middle of a bigger chapter) than other parts of those same chapters. That would explain the lack of coherency though if you think about how they’re trying to piece it all together without Gdańsk revealing the verse and chapter numbers with the rest of the words.
