Auric Champs have an infinite money glitch now.
1) Mark an enemy for Assemblage of Might
2) Whole unit gets +1 to Wound
3) Target a character Unit
4) Kill that unit
5) Use Captain's ability to play Slayer of Champions for 0 CP
6) Gain 1 CP
kinda, but it only works if you have not already gained a CP from discarding for example! but cool still!
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 custodes don't really have CP gain do they? And discarding the secondary for CP would be at end of turn.
I tried the Venatarii in the Shield Host yesterday.
6 guys squad are insane. When they charge they hit and hurt, virtually any model that is not a monster or a vehicle, at 2+ and with the 5+ critic they erase everything.

You are not fooling anyone, the 3 prosecutors squads in the talons list are there to hit on 2+ and demolish anything they touch with their overpowered rapid fire 1 bolters. Stop hiding the truth from us, +1 to hit for sisters is op, specially on witchseekers and Aleya's squad

The Shield Host murderbird stuff looks fun enough for me to drag my Custodes out for some test games at least (just gotta scrape together 6 more Venatari). Still sad about the state of bikes, dreads and our boi Trajann (and the codex as a whole).

Yeah bikes are now essentially much worse, more expensive Venatari.
24:55 I’m pretty sure allies technically have ALL of their army rules when taken in other armies, but most army rules have checks to see that you’re in that army.
In imperial knights the main army rule says “if your army faction is imperial knights (then re-roll 1 hit and 1 wound)”. That ability is still there but doesn’t apply when an ally.
The walker changes are an “army rule” that doesn’t have this Imperial knights army stipulation, so it just applies always. Essentially a data sheet change. (This is the same with the bondsmen abilities)

You mentioned in your video using FNP to defend against a bunch of dev wounds. Am I wrong in interpreting the command Arcane Genetic Alchemy only works against Mortal wounds specifically? How are we supposed to deal with devastating wounds haha
Dev wounds are mortal wounds that do not spill over now as per the new commentary update!

Do you think there's any play for Shield Host in singles? Would you still avoid caladius in that scenario or no? If I'm understanding correctly, you're worried most about chip MWs taking you apart in singles -- not a lack of ranged firepower.
There is a serious FOMO for me in not taking Shield Host cause of the ludicrous dmg it puts out lol

Awesome video and very helpful info for someone just starting. Question though; how many units can you set up in deep strike during deployment? Assuming all models in each unit have deep strike.

I think the value of Aquilon's is entirely based on your meta. If youre facing a lot of hordes that want to swamp you, then flamers+talons might have a place. My issue is youre paying a lot of points for a 1D6 attacks super-flamer.

fir 1cp, in shield host you can give sustained to the shooting caladius, which already has lethals.
you dont get a single 6 on average though, so how good is it?

That strat is pretty tasty on the Allarus brick with Panoptispex (and can also do it for free).

correct, the ability says you can use the strat for free even if it has already been used

Any improvnents is good . Wish they fixed dreadnoughts and bikes rather then making FW obligatory. I have no idea how GW can think dreads or bikes are okey.

Yeah l didn't play in 9th ed, it would have been nice , if GW first didn't tell me gu buy 30 guards and 18 wardens, to then switch it to one wquad of guards and a ton of wardens. To buy 12 venetari and two calladius , l would have to not eat, not pay rent, not pay for any utilities for 2 months.

no, i dont think axes are really ever a good idea tbh. I need to do the math breakdown again, but last time we looked spears won in ever scenario

Can you point me to where GW clarified you can charge 7” out of deepstrike? I’m not able to find that language clarification
it was in a mike brandt conversation, he supported the rules commentary, where it says in the case over hulls that overhang the base, as long as you are as close as possible you count as base to base. Other wise you could engineer scenarios where you can physically touch raiders and not be engaged
I can’t find that conversation with Mike Brandt, can you please help us find where you heard or read that conversation? For the record I’m not arguing the point I see the shorter charges are possible RAW, but if Mike Brandt said something after the errata dropped it would be helpful for us to see it. Thanks
Guess there’s a fight at GW, don’t know how the hierarchy works over there but Josh And Kenny clearly intend that models don’t gain movement. 4:16 in the meta watch video last week. They definitely failed to put there intent in the correct wording tho

At the last three big tournaments in austria it was played thath way (Alipe Cup Leoben + Salzburg and Vienna Open)
Like Abilities wich allow you to use a Strategem after it already has been used can just be reused once and not ad absurdum. I would love to do this ^^ sticking here with 9 Venatari atm but maaan, if this would work over here i would play 18 all time xD 1k Points of total fear.
oh no sir, you are mistaken! Venatari specifies its free regardless of whether its been used, with no restriction. I just checked again to make sure i am not insane, they have not re written the rule :)

If you are a vehicle on a round base don’t you measure from the base? So that shouldn’t make 9inch deep strikes any smaller? Sorry if I’m confused / missed the point just my brain hurts when thinking about this stuff lol love your work sir! 💪

Custodes are incredibly squishy now. I’ve been tabled 2-3 times at this point. Holding objectives isn’t really a thing. You can’t take a hit and then crack back. Models just melt.
Been playing against my Deathwatch buddy and my god is it hard to not lose 1 to 2 units of Guard before even touching him. I feel you.
They save on 2s with 4 invuln how much more durable can they be?
Dont you calculate charge distance base to base? That means overhangings shouldnt matter at round base unless I am wrong
