Thank you for your review! We greatly appreciate it.
Absolutely, it's a great tarp!
Looks good and gives good shelter
I have this tarp. It’s a good size compromise. Small enough to always have in your day pack, big enough to provide adequate protection in most pitches. Best in a plow point or flying asymmetric A-frame. Juuust a bit small for some more enclosed configurations. Quality piece of kit for a fair price (like all of the gear Mr. Canterbury offers).
I'm just now heading out to the mountains tu use it today and tomorrow! Really liking it!
Thank you soo much!!! I have been waiting for a nylon tarp review!!!! I recently purchased one
Glad it helped. I was very pleasantly surprised. Thank you for watching!
Bushcraft Outfitters tarps were made by Etowah Outfitters. I believe Etowah tarps are still available
Thanks for the information!
I have a couple of DD tarps that have worked very well for me over the years. I also have a couple of their Frontline hammocks that I frequently use when I’m out and about, which are just as exceptional!
Nice! I had the chance to use the Pathfinder in a mountain rainstorm this morning. Worked great! For the price I'm very impressed. I'll check out the brand you mentioned.
@@ochocobushcraft1742 Nice! 👍 DD is a company from the UK. I’ve had no issues with the quality with their products. Not as light as the Pathfinder you’re using in the video (1/2lb I believe you said), but definitely not a boat anchor either. 😂 DD does offer a superlight option, but I haven’t used it.
David Canterbury had a good video a few weeks ago on how he put together a quick deploy ridgeline using toggles. I'm really enjoying watching your videos.
Thank you!
@jamesparker6383, Yeah, That was a cool video demo he posted a few months ago. His adaptation and enhancement to the rapid ridge line deployment he picked up from Australia Outdoor Academy is super nifty! 👍
I will get one Tarp not to go camping but bcz. My place is always had typhoons, so maybe for me is to get ready for any disaster if ever. Thanks for this informative idea.
Thank you for watching!
70 D Nylon is standard 2000mm Rated to waterproofing
Memory lane. I was a Life Scout/Senior Patrol Leader in the 80’s
Nice!
I just want someone to look at me like you're looking at the tarp in your thumbnail.
Great review too.
Lol! Thanks!
I don't like the white logo , he said . And holds it up to his chest where it bends perfectly with his t shirt . LOL . Love your work Dan .
Lol! Thanks!
That’s a great size tarp. I just don’t like that massive Logo. Wildernesses Innovations makes a really nice 8’ 5” x 8’ 5” & comes with quality hardware & bag. The molle bag is a great upgrade. One thing about these tarps is they have a few extra tie outs compared to most tarps & that can make a big difference. With a ridge line I like to make them 33 feet long as in 3 lengths from a 100 foot paracord.
Yes and he has been doing it for a few years/
Perry at Wilderness Innovation offers some well thought through, exceptional items, including tarps. He’s also my uncle and just an all-around awesome guy! 👍
It would be nice if the logo was subdued in a dark green or black along with the stitching.
Agreed!
well Hell, You talked Me into it Im Buying one.
Enjoying mine still!
thanks for the video but you might want to check your scale SRO states its 1pound 4 ounces my scale says 1 pound 3.95 ounces just for the tarp and bag the guy lines and stakes are on top of that
Will do. Thanks
I have mine for over a year now. And i have had no issues with it.
And usgi industries have good rain ponchos and poncho liners too .
Thanks!
Thanks Dan. You may want to check that weight again, SRI has it as much heavier.
I believe SRO is weighing it with the stakes and Ridgeline. Without those, it is very light
@@ochocobushcraft1742 Roger, Thanks.
I thought the same thing about the logo.
Nice! Keep it all in brown and green would be perfect.
That's a good size for a personal use tarp.
But I prefer Aqua Quest tarps as they are well built and have plenty of tie-outs.
i have a Defender 10x13 for my hammock, a Safari 10x7, and for emergencies a Survivor (yellow) 10x10.
Review for the Defender coming soon.!

In my opinion Aqua Quest makes the best tarps, offering multiple sizes, colors and strengths. They even have 20x13 tarps that are great for using with a truck for car camping.
whiat tarp is this also what is the web site to buy one
SELF RELIANCE OUTFITTERS. Pathfinder tarp, 8x8. Just type them in on Google and they'll come right up. They have two colors now.
Nice tarp, not a bad price
