Did it ever occur to anyone that just because you are using toothpaste doesn't mean you have to use a toothbrush to apply it? A bigger brush would make the job a lot easier and faster.

I used colgate with bicarb soda in the ingredients plus mixed in some extra bicarb soda, and just scrubbed away for 5 mins with toothbrush. Rinse, dry and wax. Worked a treat.

Toothpaste does not work. I'm a professional headlight restorer. Many of my customers tried the Toothpaste method and many headlights got worst with the Toothpaste. It's like, do you use a buffing machine to brush your teeth lol..

This could work well for narrow headlights such as those on the 2009-2014 Acura TL. Also, those TL headlights have a groove on the bottom that’s difficult to reach with a normal circular buffing pad. The narrow profile of the toothbrush could work well for that. 🔥
I just followed a Chris Fix video that had me wet sanding the lights, then shooting spray can clear coat on. They look incredible and they won't have to be done again in 6 months.
The process is correct but when buffing the headlight it's better to use a microfiber towel rather than a paper towel to do the job because paper may be abrasive towards the headlight and cause sctratches on the plastic.
It can help a little. A friend of mine used it. Didn't look as nice as the restoration kits I bought. The kits take longer to do as well and have sprays at the end, so you have to tape off and cover a lot of the surrounding paint areas. I'd try the sanding ones that are followed with chemical wipes so you don't deal with accidental over spray. That's my next try.

And than I took soft cloth and moved with a firm pressure circularly for about 5-10 mins. At that point I took a clean part of the cloth and wiped the toothpaste residuals. Some foggy spots remained so i applied toothpaste on that spots again and repeated the job. I would say my headlights are not new but they are at 65% comparing with the new ones lol.

i tried it it's not working maybe for dust but in stains and if it's colored brown it can't be removed
I use McGuires Plastx. It's made for this and does a great job while using much less product than toothpaste. And is cheaper than toothpaste also.

It can help a little. A friend of mine used it. Didn't look as nice as the restoration kits I bought. The kits take longer to do as well and have sprays at the end, so you have to tape off and cover a lot of the surrounding paint areas. You could also use paint compounding cream that is about the same grit as toothpaste.
