Good job to the presenter. And I love UA, just got a Apollo 8 Quad recently and the ability to record in real time through all my awesome preamp plugins is just too cool! Recording got so much more fun!!!

If I was starting fresh and didn't already own MOST of these plugins, yes it is a good value. But I own nearly every plugin in the essential, and even some in the upper bundles. You guys need to offer a 'no plugin' version that is like $300-400 less or something.

you guys finally got me off avid. luna takes a little learning, but with a mac m3, its solid. the apollo sounds huge. need a way to import older protools session files, not just stems.

Guys it’s all good, but isn’t it a shame that with such expensive audio interfaces like Apollo Twin X nobody receives MIDI outputs? People like me who bought audio interface of previous generation can’t get the same plugins added to those was included with audio interface, there is no even loyalty points etc, UAD audio interfaces having a one of the biggest prices on the market, why UAD can’t add any kind of loyalty points, for me as citizen of Ukraine it’s really expensive tool, but loyalty program can make people more loyal to UAD, not every plugin is included UADx format and when we have blackout trough all winter or summer this expensive UAD plugins aren’t making much sense, please care about your customers, not just those who bought newest line of products

Most if not all modern synths have midi over usb. You really think most people own vintage synths? If it's too expensive don't buy it. You don't need an expensive interface to sound good.

@ I have some vintage stuff, why do I need another audio interface to send MIDI to synth and receive audio? It must have MIDI in this price range, so this is not the argument

@@ТимофейЛитвин-м5т I'm talking about a midi interface not audio, it takes up one usb port on your computer and you get 5 midi in/out. If you have a bunch of synths you should already know what I'm talking about

@ UAD put the same chip to the same audio interface, changed its color and voila, it’s a “GEN2” audio interface, where is major changes, what makes people with previous versions upgrade to a new one if it’s even that difficult to add at least 1 MIDI input? Heritage Audio i73 has a MIDI and that is not a problem but users of UAD must buy MIDI patch bay when someone wants to connect one synth, it’s stupid, @giles3211, you can refer to my comments again and again with some stupid ideas, but it’s not changing a thing

@@giles3211 I’m using M1 MacBook for work and I don’t need 20 devices to get the job done, I need 1 Audio interface to rule them all for UAD price, there is not much USB outputs in latest MacBooks, it’s simply stupid idea to buy another device after you bought one already, it must win the competition for this money, because Heritage Audio i73 has those MIDI, but UAD Apollo Twin X don’t have it, nothing new in a new GEN2 product, just marketing… it’s a shame

UAD just need to get rid of those shitty 'select' deals and bring back the 2 for £99 sale deals. The select deals are limited to certain plugins only, and for those of us who own all the plugins offered in the select deals, and want to add to our collection, we're forced onto the 3+3 deal for £349. UAD are leaving a gap for those of use who might want to just buy 2 to 4 of any plugins, which is normally available in the sales. The marketing team messed up on replacing 2 for £99 deals with the select deals.

New Gen is not that different 😂 it really just look different & they giving a few plugins for “new comers” to the UAD ecosystem. Along with SonarWorks, I already have that as well. They keep giving away the same plugins/plugin bundles since the beginning I have 2 Apollo x’s, x8 & x16 I have a Arrow & had owned 2 twins a while ago & they keep offering the same plugins 😂 they don’t let you pick if you already own the same plugins they try to give away. Oh and I have the UAD satellite-2. 😂 I can’t make this up, they selling skin plates at this point. Smh

The fact that you guys charge for autotune realtime when buying an apollo twin x quad gen 2 is criminal and there's not much improvement in real time recording versus a focusrite interface okay focusrite 4 ms input delay and the apollo is around 0.5 to 2 ms doesnt sound like it's worth the 1400 euros difference anyway nobody can notice latency at 4 ms it's humanly impossible i think you guys should focus solely on uad plugins and leave the interface market for good

I know Focusrite has a price advantage, but I tried a hybrid of an Apollo 8 and and a Focusrite Clarett OctePre over ADAT to the Apollo 8 for a few years and was never satisfied. #1 - the focusrite preamps are noisy. #2 - broke twice - first time the overload lights would stay on once lit, $250 to fix at their service center - the second time the word clock. I sold it and identified the problem to the new buyer, who was totally okay switch word clock from the front panel.
In fact, I was so dissatisfied with the arrangment, I sold the Clarette OctoPre AND the Apollo 8 and bought two of this new generation x8 Apollos and I'm in heaven so far. First of all, I now have 12 Sharc chips between the two of them, and still have my older Quad external processor, for 16 Sharc chips.
Before you say it - yes, I spent an obscene amount of money compared to Universal Audio, but I have peace of mind now, low latency, and spectacular headphone output (much better than the original X series or my original 8), bass management (easy to integrate a subwoofer into a stereo setup, less wires), and if you spring for it, you can use Sonarworks software and their microphone to clean up any jagged frequency characteristics from your monitors.
      Nope, I don't work for UA :)
