I will never understand why anyone would hate this movie (unless thy don't get comics or are mainly a DC fanboy) because this movie was so amazingly pit together, the script, the casting, the graphics and action. Every aspect of this movie had me at the edge of my seat, literally like a kid in a candy store (or nerd in a comic book store) the whole time I wanted more. My favourite parts were Black Panthers arrival and the way they made you felt for both sides, I couldn't pick a side through the whole movie because thy both had valid points to their actions. Overall a great movie and one of my favourites idc what anyone says
I completely agree Gubz! This is one of 2 Comicbook films to get the 100% grade in my book. The other being The Dark Knight. I've watched it 15 times already. I'll have 20 under my belt before 2018 for sure, if not more. Keep up the keeping up, broh.
Everyone knows that iron man was battering captain America till Bucky came which clearly shows that iron man is better in not saying captain is bad but it's quite obvious that without Bucky captain would be dead
Baron Zemo wasn't the main villain. If your on team iron man, then then cap is the villian. if your on team cap, then iron man is thr villain. that was pretty cool imo
I actually love when Marvel gives very human villains. Ronan and Ultron are great and all, but having them being aliens or robots or monsters kinda makes me think "Oh, they're kinda disposable." After all, Marvel kills off 90% of the unearthly villains they fight anyway. I like how it didn't take an army from space to destroy the Avngers. It didn't take a mad scientist or a monster or even a god. It took one man with enough determination. Can't wait to see Zemo in the future. Guy needs his purple mask.
Awesome video! The movie did a great job explaining everything, even the bad guy. He was kind of another standard MCU villain, but at least he tied into the whole winter soldier thing. Also, when he fooled the camera and it said he was Bucky, later with Iron Man they said they found the body in that hotel room along with prosthesis tools approximating the appearance of a James Buchanan Barnes.
This should be considered more of a reaction than a review. Watch it a few more times and get more into it. Still, agree with reaction. This movie was more than Avenger 2.5 IMO.
Hey Gubz I'm just curious of what you thought about the second mini clip at the end of the video with Peter and his aunt. It was pretty cool but I thought I missed something, could u help me out??
Has anyone thought about ,quicksilver! Helllo!!!!......but I guess that's why he's called the "#forgottenavenger" (cause everyone totally forgot about the fact that he died in the first movie he was introduced in!that's a new low)
Technically Gubz the movie did honor the comics because T'Challa did become the Black Panther after King T'Chaka died, just like in the comics. Yes you were right about him being Black Panther for some time, because in the movie he said after his dad died that he "now wears the title of both warrior and king", meaning he was the warrior before he became king but now he is both, but technically the first time we as the audience saw him as Black Panther was right after his father was murdered. So, through a certain point of view, he did become Black Panther after his father died.
The one thing I found wrong with this movie was how the fight between Steve, Bucky, and Tony began. It started over Zemo showing Tony that Bucky murdered his parents, but that was years ago. Back around cold war times. And Tony, one of the most technologically advanced and richest people alive in the MCU was shocked when he found out Bucky killed them. Surely with all his tech he would've found out who killed his parents a very long time ago. Given that in the beginning Tony was showing off how advanced his technology was with a gadget of his that could let him see the past. Even if he didn't want to know surely over the years he would've gotten curious about how it happened or who did it. That's the only "loophole" I saw with the movie. I loved everything else about Civil War though. Mostly Spider-Man, Black Panther, a relatable villain and us getting to see Wanda's power when she buried Vision in the Avengers compound.
Hey, great video. This comment is a bit critical. Hope you don't mind :). Please slow down. A lot. I can understand you, but it's hard. And please work at your script, because some of the conncetions aren't clear. For example when you speak about one person, and then in the next sentence you speak of the relationship between 'him' and someone else, but you don't mean the subject from the last sentence. Keep up the great work! EDIT: Sometimes when you cut in one sentence, the pitch of your voice changes dramaticaly, this makes it hard for me to follow your sentence :) But thats really all.
This movie is great, don't get me wrong, but the only reason I think this movie was "better" than BvS (or got that RT rating) was because of the characters.
i looove this movie i was team cap at first but later in the middle of the movie i was switching sides back and forth but at the end i was still team cap
I don't like how this movie gets so much praise and I'm not the biggest Marvel fan, but I'd like to say that Marvel finally did a villain right, Zemo set up the destruction of the avengers so well and he didn't even die at the end like almost every other mcu villain. In many ways he played a similar role to Lex in BvS, though I found Lex more entertaining (personal preference) Zemo actually set up the fight between the heroes better than Lex, unless the ultimate cut of BvS has some crazy setup, we'll see.
Michael West His motivation was all in his values, he values power, due to some messed up relationship he had with his father as a child, so when a dude who can destroy a city without even trying shows up, of-course he's going to want to get rid of him, so he can be top dog again.
***** watched the movie 4 times, it got far more nonsensical on each subsequent viewing. Calling something that isn't there "subtext" is lazy explaining. Never forget, MARTHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
batman from dceu vs cap mcu would be the most epic fight ever. maybe BP vs batman too! or winter soldier. damn mcu get all their character fights are amazin
also a sequel to age of ultron half of the plot is based on the fallout of what happened in sokovia, just because it is a a cap movie doesn't mean it can't be a sequel to age of ultron, it's a cinematic universe, every movie is connected
I don't mean to judge but could you line the footage up with your words. I, for one, wouldn't mind at all if you used stationary pictures or really random footage like you do in your "Verses" videos.
the way captain america was portrayed kind of made me go for iron mans team more. I used to love captain america and he used to be my favourite but i just think that this movie taking away from the avengers sort of captain america. I don't know how to explain but basically I didn't like the way captain america was ... I just don't know how to say what I want to say XD
Captain has his nostalgia boner for Bucky, that's the problem. And nothing else matters to him. He may be called a Captain, but he has no team to lead as a captain should. But of course, Captain America sounds a lot better, than Soloist America.
Originally I was up for it to see the clash because I hate Captain America, personally, but once Spider-Man showed up he was the only reason I wanted to watch the movie. I didn't like the movie since it was a CAPTAIN AMERICA movie so it just appeased him the entire time, but I did enjoy the intro to Black Panther and Spider-Man
I know I'm expressing an unpopular opinion, but I though Zemo was a good villain. He really expresses a good backstory, if a bit unoriginal, and how formidable a normal person can be without superpowers. He does show a small sign of a moral code when he's about to commit suicide while talking with Black Panther near the end of the 3rd act. That really shows how adamant he was on doing what he did, but how unwilling he was at the same time where he couldn't live with himself afterwards.
to me this was the best superhero movie of all time, but what the hell what's up with crossbone? like what the fuck did they do to him, first of all he looked ugly and second he got defeated at the start of the movie
Captain America: Civil War wasn't really my favorite movie of the year. I didn't like personally overall, though I will no longer call it completely bad. There were some moments that I did like, but for me, the biggest reason to see this movie was because of Black Panther. For me, he was the most enjoyable character by far. But yeah, Gubz, this was not my personal favorite Marvel movie, but I am pleased to know you did.
so based on that you said, captain america runs at 26mph. for those that think usain bolt is faster around 28mph, usain bolt runs that speed for short within his 100meters. I cant imagine that pace for 13 miles Lol. Insane fictional. anyways team iron man all day. My vision......
Does it bug anyone else that the footage was mirrored😂
not rly... except for when u see the marvel screen
I think that it is for copyright reasons, I think
i know right
Space Watermelon not really
yaaaaaas

I agree with you totally GUBZ........... This movie deserves a 100% rating. Good notes on Black Panther's moves and Spiderman's charm
I completely agree Gubz! This is one of 2 Comicbook films to get the 100% grade in my book. The other being The Dark Knight. I've watched it 15 times already. I'll have 20 under my belt before 2018 for sure, if not more. Keep up the keeping up, broh.

Baron Zemo wasn't the main villain. If your on team iron man, then then cap is the villian. if your on team cap, then iron man is thr villain. that was pretty cool imo
Zemo got what he wanted tho
great point thp
For cap zemo is the villain
Carl Dem Molina yep
the whole point of the movie is for you to be conflicted with both sides so that Baron is the villan
best movie I've ever seen, good fight scenes and good actors especially the new characters black panther and the spectacular spiderman
My favourite mcu film
One of my favourites
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed iron man has had a fight with most of the regular avengers
Nice channel man keep up the good work, you should make a video comparing the 3 spiderman franchises

Hulk should have been there.

Teamcap till the end of the line
I feel like everyone went for cap, until infinity war
Love your channel
This should be considered more of a reaction than a review. Watch it a few more times and get more into it.
Still, agree with reaction. This movie was more than Avenger 2.5 IMO.

Hey Gubz I'm just curious of what you thought about the second mini clip at the end of the video with Peter and his aunt. It was pretty cool but I thought I missed something, could u help me out??
The "little bird thing" is redwing Gubz
Hey,love ur videos, can u breakdown the spiderman far from home teaser
Has anyone thought about ,quicksilver! Helllo!!!!......but I guess that's why he's called the "#forgottenavenger" (cause everyone totally forgot about the fact that he died in the first movie he was introduced in!that's a new low)

For me falcon is like the best friend you make in college and Bucky is your childhood friend

and the plot. and the cinematography. and the writing. and the pacing. and the theme...
The Winter Soldier is still the BEST!!! Spider-Man is still my favorite superhero of all time, but The Winter Soldier is still the best movie!
2:12 Raw Livc Acirema Niatpac is my favorite movie from Levram Soiduts!
i looove this movie i was team cap at first but later in the middle of the movie i was switching sides back and forth but at the end i was still team cap

Lex had zero motivation, plus he puts his fingers in places the CDC suggest you never put them.
A Senators lips.

***** too bad zero of that was even touched upon in the movie.
Michael West It was, it was just subtext, you have to actually pay attention and such to catch all the subtle details.
***** watched the movie 4 times, it got far more nonsensical on each subsequent viewing.
Calling something that isn't there "subtext" is lazy explaining.
Never forget, MARTHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
When I first saw it I knew who was going to win cause it’s a Captain America movie right?
Thnx Gubz I feel the same way about falcon
The only thing I don't like is the Spider-Man suit, I don't really know why but it seems to me it doesn't blend well in the team.
When Bucky said can you scoot your chair up that's DC to marvel being like STOP MAKING GREAT MOVIES
#teamironman
It was Joe Russo, He had a Cameo in Winter Soldier too..
I bet he'll have one in Infinity War too
batman from dceu vs cap mcu would be the most epic fight ever. maybe BP vs batman too! or winter soldier. damn mcu get all their character fights are amazin
I would give it a 10
I really agree that they introduced Spider-Man and Especially black panther into the MCU.
#TeamCap
hell yeah captain ameica civil war
I was on team Captain America two
In the end fight I was more scared for Tony than Cap (#teamironman)
Wait, but it was a captain America movie, not avengers, so it was a sequel to the winter soldier and not afraid of ultron
*age
also a sequel to age of ultron half of the plot is based on the fallout of what happened in sokovia, just because it is a a cap movie doesn't mean it can't be a sequel to age of ultron, it's a cinematic universe, every movie is connected

6:51 I don’t know why but I find it funny the way Gubz said “Shut up” and 7:01 “No”
the way captain america was portrayed kind of made me go for iron mans team more. I used to love captain america and he used to be my favourite but i just think that this movie taking away from the avengers sort of captain america. #TeamSpidey
Zemos name is Heinrich Zemo
but crossbones? he died right?
The fight scene at the end where Cap and Bucky were wailing on Iron Man and tossing the shield back and forth looked both silly and fake.
ExBruinsFan No it didn't it, looked awesome and epic. You're probably just mad because they teamed up and whooped Iron man's ass.
Cash Cow let's be real in a 1v1 iron man would kill cap and Bucky. He could not even fly also because it was a small area
I thought Tony was an idiot in that movie bus saying
Sharon Carter is a disgrace to the Carter name since she is the Power Broker
to me this was the best superhero movie of all time, but what the hell what's up with crossbone? like what the fuck did they do to him, first of all he looked ugly and second he got defeated at the start of the movie

Guess who's team i'm on
I only like bp and Spider-Man
