I think the reason it's easier to get a handle on Spidey is because Tony literally sits him down and asks what his motivations are. T'Challa's moments are mostly inferred and sprinkled throughout the film. Absolutely loved them both and can't wait to see more of course. Loved this film too, definitely one of the best hero films out there.
Zemo's plan: Family gets killed so now wants revenge and wants the Avengers gone. Knows he can't do it by himself so the best say is to get them to fight. Spends a year studying them and decrypting the Hydra files Black Widow leaked in Winter Soldier. One report has a WS mission in December 1991 around the same time that Stark's parents died. So there might be something there. Goes to interrogate the Hydra general to get the mission report. Hydra general doesn't give him anything. So Zemo has to go to Plan B which is ask Bucky himself. Blows up the UN while having the Accords in place while framing Bucky so he can get caught. Then using the ID of the psychologist who he killed has goes in and asks Bucky himself using the brainwashing Hydra book. Allows Bucky to remember the report so that Bucky and Steve would think that Zemo's plan was about reawaking the other Winter Soldiers. At this point the Avengers are at odds with each other already so they fight however Bucky and Steve escape. So Zemo needs to get Tony to come to Siberia too. So he allows the hotel staff to find the dead psychologist which would immediately reach Stark's attention and make him realize that Zemo was behind everything and makes him go to Siberia. Then Zemo reveals the footage. Zemo changes plans constantly in this film and he did not bet on Black Panther getting involved at all. It does rely alot on things going right for him but because the built in conflict with Steve and Tony along with the fact Steve has a soft spot for Bucky was perfect for him to exploit.
+Eric Prajogo The plan seems quite convoluted for me. And relying to much on luck and coincidence. For me the biggest flaw in this movie. But still, to see what happend after Tony saw the recording - it was worth it.
I loved Black Panther. Both when he in and out of uniform. He brings a new dimension to the MCU as behaves differently than all the others. I cannot wait to see his solo movie.
I loved it! Best live action Spider-Man by far, he made the film for me, can't wait for his solo film! And the airport scene was probably the best superhero action scene ever! The Giant-Man bit was awesome and funny too! I'm thinking about seeing it again and I rarely see films in the Cinema more than once. Yes, there were some weak points but overall a great superhero film!
Zemo's plan was really simple: Find something which would create anger within the Avengers. Everything else, he was just winging it. If Tony hadn't turned up, he would have done something else, just like he went to Plan B when the Hydra guy didn't reveal the information he wanted.
It's funny, but I thought they actually nailed the importance of the fight scenes in the movie. The airport was exciting, fun, and just amazing. But the last fight was far more emotional and the stronger fight to end the movie with. This wasn't a semi-fun fight between friends, but a brutal struggle for both sides. Tony losing it in his rage and trying with all he had to kill Bucky while Cap was having to push himself to the limit to protect Bucky from that.
Also I think as far as Zemo's plan is concerned it's really only about 1 thing: compromising Cap. His only mission was to have everyone turn on Captain America and the only way to do that was to frame Bucky. I'd have to imagine he's aware of the cultural climate after his city is destroyed in AoU and aware that if he can get Cap to go rogue at a time when people are demanding accountability that it would be the perfect way to accomplish his plan. Creating a Civil War that disassembles the avengers was probably what he hoped for but not like in the exact step by step way the movie played out which is why he only pops up for the parts he planned for hence why he's not at the airport scene watching from afar. It's not a moustache curling masterfully orchestrated plan like Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, it's more like a Joker create chaos and see what they do type plan (at least that's the way I saw it).
From Iron Man's side: The main reason none of them went is because of the Accords. Tony Stark himself acted AGAINST the Accords, and it would've been too suspicious if he brought others along with him. Black Panther followed Stark because he was still after Bucky War Machine is getting looked at for his injuries Vision can't do anything because of the Accords Black Widow probably immediately went into hiding since she helped Cap escape Spider-Man went back home From Cap's side: Cap and Bucky both went to find Zemo Falcon, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch were all arrested
The movie is so amazing on a surface level and most reviewers I've seen are content stopping there, so I appreciate your diving deeper into the subtle and nuanced ways that it's great on a character and story level. I also would put this up there with Iron Man 3, Winter Soldier and Avengers 1 & 2. Great movie!!
I would've liked to see more of a divide between the two factions in the movie. Most of the mocie they're just arguing and then when they're fighting in the airport it seems they were just playing arond. Also, Tony suddenly finding out his understanding of the Winter Soldier was a just mistake was a weak plot line that unravels all other motives up to that point. Even "Martha" would say so.
I felt like Black Panther stole Spidey's thunder. Not in spectacle, but in having a fresh character with a great arc encapsulating the themes of the movie, and better setup for his movie.
the reason only 3 avengers went to siberia is explained in the movie actually. cap and bucky were fugitives anyway so they went (with the rest of Team cap captured and thrown into prison). the rest of Team iron man wasnt allowed to follow them, tony stark actually went rogue to pursue cap and bucky.
Origin story for Black Panther should mostly be about the passing of the mantle though generations. Maybe a narrated opening about that then...we just focus on our modern version and start movie.
I feel like Black Panther would actually be an opportunity to at least solve some of the issues from Civil War, specifically the Sokovia Accords. I'm gonna guess that the signers of the Sokovia Accords, especially the US government, will not be happy if they find out that Wakanda is housing not just Bucky, but potentially the other Team Cap Avengers that are now fugitives under the accords. I REALLY want Black Panther's movie to be focused on him, though, especially since they are announcing SUCH A GREAT CAST FOR HIS MOVIE! (Michael B. Jordan, maybe even Lupita Nyong'o if it works out!) But yeahhhh, I could see Spider-Man as serving as a catch-up to see how Team Iron Man is doing after the events (and also see how Spider-Man deals with the Sokovia Accords - do they affect him, since he's not only a vigilante with a secret identity but also a minor?) and Black Panther as a check-in on Team Cap.
Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite Marvel movie, with Winter Soldier right behind it. But I think Civil War might have beaten Guardians as my favorite. It's such a good, fun movie. The movie is jam packed and everyone gets enough screen time. That airport fight was great! When Cap and Bucky left, I was wondering where all the other heroes were but I remembered it's still a Captain America movie. I need to go and watch it again!
There is a reason War machine didn't die. Because that would've end the feud amongst teams. Russo brothers wanted them to remain broken until Infinity Wars
I reckon going forward there are now 2 Avengers teams. The government organized ones lead by Iron Man and the independent ones lead by Captain America.
Iron Man 3 a good movie?hahaha next joke please.Civil War is a great movie..probably the best in the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier and the first Avengers
23:17... Captain America has NOT given up being Captain America... he has NOT retired and he has NOT given up being an Avenger bc when he breaks the other Avengers out of the Raft; it will be the MCU's certain of the "Secret Avengers"... the only characters that they America America I America America America doesn't been out bc they weren't in the Raft were cheese cheese n Black Widow. I actually have no friggin clue as to the location of Black Widow... she just basically disappears towards the end if the film n 47
I really disagree with your opinions of Spider-Man stealing the show, whether it be the entire movie or just the airport scene. I think that he looked strong, maybe one of the strongest fighters in the airport scene , as in he doesn't take much of a beating, but he never really steals the show. I found Rudd to be much funnier during that scene and have more interesting spots and still even he didn't steal that scene. In fact I felt that scene really gave every character a moment or two to shine and look badass. No one really out-shone anyone else. As for the movie as a whole I give props to Black Panther. He looked the strongest throughout and even when he was beaten he had put up such a good fight that you wanted to see more, because maybe just by the flip of a coin it could've ended differently. The point that really proved this too me was Buck's breakout scene where the Winter Soldier handles Falcon, Cap and even Tony, who proves somewhat feeble without a full suit. Yet T'challa engages him in his civilian clothes and goes toe-to-toe with, and by him I mean a gun-toting, bionic arm soldier. In the end Bucky flees, but Panther is still looking for a fight. It got me real excited for his movie, but even then, he didn't overshadow the other players in the film.
Glad you got your channel, but I didn't love it[cap3] , I thought it was an okay movie, that didn't bring what I was advertised, the best disney/marvel movie.
Why did no one mention that they had moved the Superhero show to this new channel? I did a search for it last week and assumed that this video was from some imitation channel, so didn't watch it.
Dom Hunt Yeah, I think that's the case, too. If I were them, I'd release a video on both channels, each week for a while, with maybe an extended bit on this channel so that people eventually start coming to this one.
That picture does not confirm any scenes shot. It just confirms that Tom Holland was on set. Even though Spider-Man recides in NY too, it really doesn't make any sense to have him be part of the Doctor Strange origin movie.
Quick question, not sure if I'm missing something obvious but before the scene of Tony and Peter, both Tony and Black Widow say they have an idea but not talking about the same thing with Tony's being to bring in Spiderman but does anyone know what Black widow was referring to?
+EntangleMyWebs Yeah but she said she would help him find Bucky so surely Tony knew he would be with them, like I said probably something obvious so she maybe was referring to Black panther just thought it may be a hint to someone else.
Stop bringing Nolan into your conversations Bc the only Batman movie he did awesome was the dark night and that was mostly due to Heath ledger's acting.
+Ciaran Murren yeah, you're right. Happened quickly, but we're going to be making sure everyone knows over the next few weeks. It'll also mean more than one episode a week, plus some other goodies going live.

Things I really loved in Civil War
- Spider-Man, obviously
-Black Panther
-Giant-Man
-The Airport Scene
-Making Zemo a Sympathetic villain
Saw it last night, absolutely loved it. Spidey was so perfect and I'm really interested to see where the Avengers and the MCU go from here.
I think the reason it's easier to get a handle on Spidey is because Tony literally sits him down and asks what his motivations are. Been looking for this show for weeks! Got to say, IGN does a terrible job of communicating shit. I had no idea you were now on a seperate channel
+Daniel Design yeah, sorry about that. Some stuff is going to go up this week to make it clear for everyone.

One of my favourite Marvel movies for definite. Think I need to go once more as there was a ton of things I need to take in again.
I also came out more excited about Spidey than Black Panther, but I am still excited about his solo movie too.

Really really enjoyed civil war. Great movie! Watched it in IMAX yesterday.
Winter Soldier
Guardians
Civil War
Iron Man 1
Avengers/ Ant-man
Top 5 films (Couldn't decide who to give the 5th spot to)
Civil War takes the #5 spot on my list of ranked MCU movies
There is a reason War machine didn't die. Because that would've end the feud amongst teams. Russo brothers wanted them to remain broken until Infinity Wars

Iron Man 3 a good movie?hahaha next joke please.Civil War is a great movie..probably the best in the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier and the first Avengers
spider-man actually has three scenes he has the last scene in the movie at the end of the credits that is very funny
Giant man was amazing
I liked black panther even more than Spider-Man
captain u.s went to wakanda where there is a lot of vibranium , he'll probably make his own shield there
'Captain US' XD
Carter Rowe i hate when people think america is a country, it really fucking triggers me
im glad you found it funny tho little buddy
This was Definitely a great show!
Gotta love Bucky! 😃

Spider Man and Black Panther are equally amazing and exciting for me.
I also loved what they did with Zemo, to be honest.
Black panther was great and the real show stealer not spider boy these two are such marvel fan boys it's borderline sickening at times
In my screening it seemed no one else laughed at the dick joke before Antman went giant. Either it was to subtle for most or it went over their heads.
What is it all about with aunt May and her meat loaf?
grazie per il
aaawer Unix

Whaaaaaaaaat
That's BS!
Sanjay Raju No, it's not. goo.gl/n7Ysfm

The bad guy behind it all was shite!! Other than that it was a good movie. First Avengers movie had the best action. Come on the hulk punch.
Stop bringing Nolan into your conversations Bc the only Batman movie he did awesome was the dark night and that was mostly due to Heath ledger's acting.
so you have your own channel now? no explanation, no mention?
+Ciaran Murren I think it is so that all their shows are easier to find and all in one place. A couple of IGN's shows have their own channel now.
But nothing said about it....
+Ciaran Murren yeah, you're right. Happened quickly, but we're going to be making sure everyone knows over the next few weeks. It'll also mean more than one episode a week, plus some other goodies going live.
wtf spoilers already

Civil war:8.5/10
Spider-Man was really dumbed down.....how is aunt may suddenly a milf...and spider-man is like a 12 year old he should be called spider boy
that's what he's like in a lot of the comics, how is that dumbed down?
maybe you just don't know what dumbed down means
