      Yeah... Back when I had way more time and energy lol! Part of me wants to at least buy a new GoPro and POV video my dirt rides, but I just haven't had the financial opportunity.

    Nice review.. I'm in the market for a classic, I'm currently looking at Triumph Bonni and Ducati Scrambler which do you think is better for driver + pillion? Both on the bulky side :P

      +Vikram B S The Bonneville has a longer seat, so it would be more comfortable 2-up.

    nice review i considered buying this and waited for it for a long time to come out but I bought a Triumph tiger XRX, which I am extremely happy with, of course its a different price range.

    Test rode a 2016 Scrambler Icon a while back. And about a month ago test rode a 2017 Scrambler Icon. The throttle has been tamed on the 2017 model (because of feedback from customers no doubt). Much better now in that regard ! As far as the seat goes, yeah, Ducati really needs to install a better, more comfortbale seat for sure. An excellent after market seat is the "Mustang Seat". But why should one paying so much for a motorcycle have to spend a large sum to replace a seat on a new bike to begin with ?
    By the way, excellent video !
    Oh one more thing, I visited Victoria once in the 1980s. The cleanest city I have ever been to. I was told that was because if someone was caught littering they were sentenced to 10 years in prison without the possibility of parole. Kinda of harsh, you think ? But I guess it works, haha

    2 questions:
    1. How stable is the bike on the freeway?
    2. Is it comfortable enough to carry a passenger at the back?
    Thx

      @zordflea  9 років тому +2

      maresoldino 1. The bike is pretty light, so if you are moving around large vehicles (like vans, trucks, etc) at highway speeds, you will be affected more easily by turbulence. But it has no trouble getting to, and quickly exceeding, any highway speed with little drama.
      2. Yes and no. It is comfortable for short jaunts around town and into the backroads. You have to like having your passenger pretty much spoon you on the back. However, it can get a bit tiring after a while, especially since you have to sit further forward on the narrower part of the seat.

    I bought a Ducati Icon (red). I love the bike as its a great "hop and go" bike. Light, agile yet powerful when you need it. The seat sucks but all bike seats suck. I bought a gel cushion and that made a world of difference to my butt.

    Funny, thought that residential area looked like Victoria... Hmm. Oh look Victoria inner harbour! Very cool! Does biking with all the deer around not bother you? Seems to be a big negative/danger/worry with cyclists motor and pedal... Thanks for the video!

      +PhillzTV You are welcome! Running into deer on the road is a concern, but it's also a fact of life here, so I don't let it ruin my ride. The older animals are more aware of motorists, but during fawning season it's the bambis that are more often hit.

    At the point where you said "I need gas", how many KMs have you rode?

    • @zordflea
      @zordflea  9 років тому

      +Ally Sharif I left the dealership WITHOUT a full tank of gas, probably less than half full? And by that evening I had done between 50 - 70kms. Not much help I know. But I was also riding it a bit fast plus I had a passenger too.

    I wish people posting these 'reviews' would stick to reviewing the bike, and not woffle on about nothing of consequence.

    How come some grandpa is replying to comments and then a couple hours later I get an email from you?

    • @zordflea
      @zordflea  9 років тому +1

      andy sharman I cannot respond to all the comments on my videos immediately when someone posts because I have other more pressing things to do, but I try to reply to all of them sooner or later.

    @Fishing8136 9 років тому

    How long you take to respond to an email is of no concern to me.
    My question was directed to you as I know you are in Vancouver the answer would be relevant to me, the grandpa who replied was a surprise unknown and unsolicited.

    • @zordflea
      @zordflea  9 років тому +1

      andy sharman yeah... I try to reply to most of the comments in a timely manner. But I don't always have the time in the evenings to answer everything and some just slip through the cracks.
