Damn, i feel like stunt drivers deserve more recognition. They're adrenaline junkies but at the same time knows how to play without risking it too much.

The statute of limitations have expired but I read an article in a car magazine years ago about stunt driving and went out in my 78 Pontiac Sunbird to try out the forward and reverse 180 and slide to a 90 degree stop. a couple rear sets of tires later and I was doing it everywhere. All my friends in HS wanted to learn the techniques so I was teaching them on dirt roads and parking lots then on paved 2 lane roads. I was showing off to co workers in McDonalds parking lot doing 180s for about 2 mins straight when the State police rolled into the lot. Needless to say I was super happy they gave me a warning and didn't take me to jail and tow my car. The things we do when we are young and stupid.
Seems like alot of us learned in stupid parking lot games. A big reason why we built the rally school is so we had a place to refine our skills. Thanks the comment!

I love that there is a woman driving in this! Makes me miss my Army days, and driving, especially since I'm 100% disabled now. If I ever get well enough, I REALLY want to learn to drive like this! Stuff like that used to scare the crap out of me. Prior to my '08 OIF/OEF deployment. The majority of the women in the unit (myself included) were driving Humvees, ASV's, Deuce 'n' halves, MRAP's, etc. on missions outside the wire. Funny most people think women are terrible drivers, but in the Army, its what most of us did, no matter what our actual MOS happened to be. I was an all wheel vehicle mechanic, but never turned a single wrench in country. We even got awards for the thousands of miles we drove, without accidents. Which really was a lot, since missions were 4 days on, 3 days off, then 3 days on, 4 days off, rise, and repeat. My husband can pull the E-brake while driving in our neighborhood and slide perfectly into our driveway, in the snow and ice.

Lovely video guys! Wish the video is longer and explained deeper about stunt driving. Also it would be interesting if the pedal cam is available to see the footwork.
We didn't do a pedal cam this time. We do plan on doing more content with Chris and Wyatt on pavement driving skills that will include some of the same techinques used for stunt drivers. Thank you for watching and commenting

@amandabradley835 I'd like to build mine like yours; could you provide some more information? Which LSD did you use? Where did you get it tuned, and what ecu did you use? Any details on the hand brake?
@@bradensmith888 it’s a Torsen T2R differential, SCT tuner, and my buddy did the hydraulic brake, it’s actually a foot pedal, custom exhaust with high flow cars, and 3.73 gears

Seems like a lot of it is precision over speed on those turns. I think thst really sells the look of the stunt.
