I did not need to. I removed the two screws holding the module in place. Then I needed to dislodge the peg (not mentioned in this video) at the top end of the headlight module and then the motions mentioned in this video are possible.
I really need your help I have done everything you've said and my right front headlight does not work. When I remove the entire headlight assembly and plug it in on the left side it works just fine. When I test the wires on the right side I get the correct amount of power to every wire. My head Light still does not work. I had the computer reset I've done everything. Can you help me?
@electricalcarrepair Hi guys, this is a question I’ve been trying to contact you about via the original video you posted for AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FUSE LOCATION REPLACEMENT BMW E46 DIESEL 316D 318D 320D 325D 330D - the question I’d like you to please answer is…. Is it the same fuse for a 2004 e46 330ci Automatic M Sport Convertible petrol?
Problem with newer vehicles is that the bolts and screws are not magnetic anymore due the cost of making lighter but stronger (cheaper) fixings. So... No magnetic screwdrivers etc anymore.

Do you know if you can put a 2016 headlight into a 2017? Thank you!
Thank you
Can you show the passenger side? It's different than the right.
Can't see in the video but did you also remove the 2 bolts further up towards the windscreen.

What size Torx tool is this
For anyone with this same question... I don't know. But I just used a flat-tip screwdriver.
He doesn’t mention the removal of several bolts that make the removal and replacement easier. Check out some other videos on this topic.
Horseshit. There are only 2 bolts holding it
Warum zeigt jeder, wie er die linke Lampe herauszieht und nicht die rechte????
This Video was NOT helpful with a 2018 Ford C-Max Headlight
