Thanks for the great overview!! Thanks for showing some items that I missed. I live in Las Vegas and was able to get to ConExpo for 3 days out of the 5 (tied up with work the other two!!). Too bad that Manitowoc wasn't there because their competitors from around the World certainly were.
Would Have Liked to see More of The Bay Crane LIEBHERR LTM 1300-6.3, The Global Specialized Services TADANO AC 7.450-1, And The A. Guay LINK-BELT 300 AT. Nice Shot of The Maxim GROVE GMK6400-1!
As usual Conexpo is held every three years and Liebherr models were good but I was expecting new models. Kobelco’s stand was nice but I like that demolition excavator as seen at Bauma. Sany had good models in large scales. Manitowoc was interesting because of no stand as heard at Bauma, but it was good to see Grove cranes. Tadano had good models and it was interesting to see the CC 2800 as seen at Bauma again. Zoomlion from China had very nice models. XCMG was new for me at Conexpo and it was good to see some Yagao models of XCMG machines. Link-Belt was good, but the 175 AT and 100 RT were reviewed before. Caterpillar had a competition and it was good to see that on TV show even though I haven’t. Doosan had nice machines or Develon machines. Volvo was good but only small excavators. Faymonville had a big trailer. Komatsu was nice and their models were actually very good. Hyundai had interesting wheel loaders and excavators. Wirtgen had good machines at their stand. Overall, Conexpo 2023 was big and Conexpo runs again in 2026.
Hi CranesEtc, I picked up a 1/50 LRT 1100 - last one in the case at the Liebherr shop. I’m having issues keeping the boom…up. Any recommendations other than calling Conrad?
The ram holding the boom is tightened by rotating the collar. There should be a tool in the box and it uses the hole in the ram to locate it. One way tightens the collar, the other way loosens it. I can't remember which way is which clockwise or anti-clockwise. See here also: ua-cam.com/video/lVbVvky4zCg/v-deo.html
@@rustyshackleford4911 Maybe you can try and unscrew the collar completely to see what's happened? But I've never tried this so it would be at your own risk. The hole in the collar is unthreaded I think, but if you can get a screw to bite it might work.
A great film...well presented. Thank You !

Nice Job Ian wish you spent more time at the wirtgen stand. Do they have any new models coming?
I understand there may be some 1:35 models in the works.
@@CranesEtcTV awsome I'm a big fan of those too. Can't wait to 👀 what's in store.
Isn't the tadano GT1200XL 2 designed for the north American market? Hence why they where introduced at conexpo not bauma.
Maybe. I was told Japanese market at Tadano, but we'll see.

@@CranesEtcTV yes sir, I tried that but perhaps the threads stripped? The only repair I can think of is to add a grub screw to the collar

@@rustyshackleford4911 Also if the item is new from the Liebherr shop then Liebherr should replace it, or contact Conrad.
Assumes its Conrad that will bring out the LR1400 so if it isnt NZG
Maybe by some miracle it's WSI, Conrad still has some ways to go in detail
👍👍👍
Any plans for the Cranes etc crew to go fully robotic? 🤖 ❓
Some would already say it is brainless.
