Very interesting. Love your videos. I think the Companion and the Cybertool models are some of the most interesting Vic makes. I am adding a Cybertool layer to my Companion.
Good to see someone has the same ideas and indecision as I do lol. The struggle is real lol. And SAK mod talk without going full “I have no ability to do anything near that level” like Fit To Survive
Haha! Yeah, FTS is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay above and beyond my skill level. Maybe some day, but in the meantime, it's still fun messing around with these silly things!
These were my exact thoughts when asking if the file can replace the large blade. Unless you need the openers as openers the bit driver is screwdriver enough, that’s where I wanted the scissors.
You could run the file/small blade- bit driver- scissors- it would work, with some effort. My other project is going to be file/electrician blade if I can pull it off. Not sure, maybe that's the build. File/electrican blade-bit driver. Super 2 layer!
I edc the cybertool m love it the cybertool s with scissors would be cool..I believe the scissors add 3mm to a sak..and taking out the opener layer for the combo tool thins it out 2mm so doing both your gaining excellent scissors for only 1mm added to the knife and not losing any capabilities since the bit drivers there
My cyber tool s the blade protrudes out from where it supposed to slip in when closed. I thought it was a defect but the one u are showcasing does to as well. I was about to send it back
I'd go for a cybertool sans blade so I can keep it with my electronics and be TSA friendly so no last minute surprises. I don't need a wood saw when I'm checking email, but I do need a screwdriver to change a battery. Then I'd choose a different set for EDC, because I rarely need a 2mm hex bit going to the grocery store.
I build one with the scissors and combo tool, but I think it turns out too thick, so I dont carry it very much. Only blade and bit driver would be perfect for me. Heres a video of my custom CyberCompact ua-cam.com/video/VJcC9rl_EKY/v-deo.html

The only thing keeping me from a S/29 is the lack of scissors. I have two M/34s.
Good idea!!

Pretty sure you're right just eyeing it- it would be a tiny bit bigger if you do combo tool- and added the scissors.

Cyber-compact is the way to go :) EDCing it since 2 years... Best mod I've done! (With the nail file on the parcel hook)
Will have to be the next project- ended up going bigger with the 29!
I am considering this next, but the “donors” are so expensive just for 3 layers. I hate that we must spend more to get less!

get the metalfile, its a good tool
I would add combo layer and scissors file... OMG that would be great!
I'd rather take the 34 and make it smaller by removing the opener layer and replacing the small blade with a combotool.
Go for the cyber yeoman 👍
Those are pretty cool- thick though
