The up side is you are the proud owner of a nice example of a rare knife that will only increase in value.
Sometimes Victorinox’s reasoning drives me nuts, It causes me to shelf models because they are discontinued
making there value go up to the point I don’t want to use them anymore because they are too expensive to replace.
On my Pioneer X , I filed the quarter moon part to make a substitute fine screwdriver. Works well, gives me extra reach and slimmer phillips / flat head. Took me around 20 minutes to do on a hand file. It is the closest to the perfect multitool for me, and on a pinch it still open cans.
Yeah, that works too! And I'd say that Pioneer X of yours is probably damn near perfect for a 3 layer alox.
Could you elaborate as to why this is such a great tool?
When I am doing technician stuff, it makes me angry when I forget my wood cutting saw.
