The climber is the perfect SAK. Scissors; tweezers; can opener and corkscrew are all essentials that I cannot be without. People often make fun of the corkscrew, but I cannot tell you how many times I’ve found myself at a dinner with a bottle of wine and no corkscrew and my Climber comes through in the clutch!
The corkscrew is a must for me. I add the Tortoise Gear fire kit which is designed to go in that corkscrew. They actually work great for staring an emergency fire.
Cheers mate👍 I would say the width difference is so minor you barely notice it not worth sacrificing the handy Woodsaw if you have a need for it thanks for watching 🤙
The Huntsman is an additional layer, and since I carry my main SAK in my jean coin pocket, I can feel the difference. So, I usually carry the Camper, which is only three layers and has the saw instead of the scissors and no hook. Since I always have a Classic SD on my keychain, I have scissors, a file which works great as a ferro rod striker after a little 90 degree shaping. For me, this is a very pocket friendly setup with little redundancy. Oh. My Dad gave me a Climber decades ago, so it's a sentimental favorite with great functionality. It's even black like the one in this video.
A lot of knife guys on UA-cam tend to agree that it’s very soft and needs sharpening often. Magnacut or s30v tend to be popular. Have you got an opinion on this, because vic steel has never let me down. Also lots of the worlds military’s use so it can’t be that bad
Honestly man I have never had a problem with vic steel👌 always cuts when I need it to🤙 the odd sharpen doesn't go astray for sure but i have never been bothered by the hardness of the steel. Never had one rust on me 🤙🤙🤙cheers for watching mate.
@ironman2326 Cheers mate 👍 I'm not sure why Victorinox doesn't make the nail file on the back of the hook standard on all models that have the multi purpose hook. I know the Compact has such a feature. Thanks for watching 🤙
I would say not at all mate I have carried an SAK everyday day of my life since I was 12 and never noticed a soft or rolled edge, an occasional sharpen doesn't hurt though cheers for watching bud🤙🤙🤙
What a great spot for a knife review! Much more exciting than the kitchen bench. Your humour always makes me smile. Great knife as well!
Cheers brother🤙🤙 definitely an awesome spot and a cool little knife thanks for watching mate👍👍

Cheers brother was good to get out bush again 🤙🤙 🪓
Very nice review, mate! But how does it compare to the huntsman bulkwise? Is the width difference big enough to justify sacrificing the woodsaw?
Cheers mate👍 I would say the width difference is so minor you barely notice it not worth sacrificing the handy Woodsaw if you have a need for it thanks for watching 🤙

@marcdee4427 No worries bud 👍
The Climber is nearly perfect. If it had a nail file it would be.
@ironman2326 Cheers mate 👍 I'm not sure why Victorinox doesn't make the nail file on the back of the hook standard on all models that have the multi purpose hook. I know the Compact has such a feature. Thanks for watching 🤙
