This is not the story of a Minecraft player who possibly cheated to get a faked Minecraft speedrun world record, and not the story of their friend who also did not cheat to get a faked Minecraft speedrun world record. One of the things I like about this channel is that while he's explaining something, the thing shown on screen is actually RELEVANT. I've seen MANY videos with this style (analyzing a speedrun, explaining how something in Minecraft works, etc.), and 80-90% of the time it just shows them playing bedwars or something else completely unrelated.

I'd argue it's easier than piglin bartering because it's more reliable whereas piglin trading is rng based especially after the nerfs

@@matthewmedina3461 the pearl nerfs don’t matter because no speedrunner plays anything past 1.16.1 (pre-trade nerf and pre-piglin brutes), so theres that. also on 1.15 there is a 1/3 chance that the villager will give you a glass bottle trade instead of pearls, insta-killing any run. Also the process of getting enough emeralds from shipwrecks and monuments is notoriously luck based and brutal, and that isn’t even considering memorizing the trade route and keeping in mind all the villager restocking times and whatnot. There is a lot more to think about in 1.15 for sure, and this is coming from someone who runs 1.16
its less reliable than piglins imo. Generally speaking, when trading at a bastion you are actually more likely to get the things you need than you are to get unlucky. This obviously depends on what bastion route is being used and how much gold is traded, but when you actually begin trading, getting rolled is the less likely outcome in the case of most routes

I would think that the human limit would be like, instant village spawn to pickaxe in 10 seconds to full eyed portal right below the house where he gets the 6th bed, end entry in 30 seconds, instant perch, beat the game in I would say 50-57 seconds

or is it just the record for the fastest run on any given pre-decided seed by the runner, if that makes sense
Its the version of the game, not the seed. The seed is the randomly generated world.

When I was new to minecraft i created a world and spawned on a island and which was 100 blocks away from the mushroom biome and i didn't even know that was also a world record and it was a cracked version in pe lol

The cat doesn't speak for itself at all. People have used overlays to cheat before in other games. And once I saw a twitch viewer comment on a speedrun reaction with a suspicion that a gif overlay could have helped the runner cheat, and then the reactor accused them of being racist immediately. I didn't expect that, so chances are the person commenting didn't either.
