I love how you solved a problem giant electronics corporations couldn't, using a technology that already existed - and in the process created something incredibly novel. Well done :--)
@vincentgarcia38 acknowledging reality isn't enabling anything. All you've saying is that you don't like how reality feels. Tough titties. Physical media will always have a place with collectors and that's where the market is. Accept it or don't, but acknowledging the reality isn't going to change it.
The whole "extend the screen" idea actually makes a lot more sense to me on a handheld then a TV. I'm surprised nobody's thought to do it before. The results speak for themselves
This is infinitely cooler than reactive LEDs behind a TV. And I mean, those setups are already pretty cool. Incredible how every single project you do is a banger, and you manage to document it so well.
There's nothing like having to tune into a Shank Mods upload. This project, just like all your projects, is outstanding as hell, man. And also this at 9:02. Wonderful stuff as always!
"YOU ARE WATCHING A MASTER AT WORK" What I love about Shank is his constant reminder that we all stand on the shoulders of giants, and that other people's projects are the reason why he's able to craft to this level! As much as I like to see people who are able to do everything on their own, I really love the collaborative spirit you bring to the table. It's honestly inspiring to know that there are amazing community members out there, and people who care about niche things as much as you do. Also, let's goooo open source projects! Thank you Shank!
man every time you release a new video im in a completely different stage of my life as a completely different person, you’re like the coolest constant in my life
I literally saw an ad yesterday about reactive ambient lighting strips to apply on TVs. Now one day later, in a new Shank video, it has advanced to the portablizing scene! That’s awesome!
You have no idea how excited I am to see one of your videos. As a computer engineer I really love seeing how you get these projects up and running and inspire me to attempt at least one of your amazing projects in the future!
This is one of the best stories I have heard in a very long time. Every time I thought it was over, it just...kept...delivering. Props for following through and not giving up in the early stages. Keep pursuing your dreams.
yooo its so sick how you got the Raspberry Pi Zero W to run the games and how you used the trimmed Wii motherboard to process the Raspberry Pi's image and control the LEDs! one day I hope I can get up to your level fr
Yeah, it's amazing! I hope he releases the GameCube and Wii emulator he used soon! I thought emulating the two on the Zero was impossible, but the mad lad did it!
i've been planning a similliar thing with this but instead with the switch, but only concept, since i have too much troubles with tech engineering. Gladly for you to make it yourself into an outstanding outcome.
This project looks cool as heck! Honestly love the use of Translucent Resin (I actually didn't know that type of resin existed). Also, neat how a Raspberry Pi was used without affecting the games at all. Still a Wii at heart. Also, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this, but I love your choice of music for the last few videos.
Bro you're back and with a very cool mod. I really like this idea, I think it's one of your best Wii/GameCube portables yet! Also, sorry for your loss: 1:07
I have been watching your channel for a few years now and hopefully once im able to get the money to build a portable wii I can finally make one myself over the summer. You’re the entire reason im interested in portables and I can’t wait to finally make one myself.
Came back to say thanks for the end song being a banger - have had it in my playlist for a month on so now :) Great touch getting the stems for a smoother transition into the lyrics!
We love Micro Center. My PC is actually being serviced right now at the very Micro Center featured in this video and I've bought many PC accessories and parts here as well.
The king has returned, with a project that looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
Yes finally he has returned
Bro he was gone for like a year, not that big of a deal
Edit:im kidding of course

I think the problem here is that it doesn't have an optical drive, so it wouldn't be a viable option for Nintendo to make.

No, definitely not. You keep a TV plugged in, handhelds use battery life. Chances are, after the first week, you’re not going to turn that on.

Beautiful build Shank!! Love that the Power Wheels also got the LED treatment!

I think it's super important to give credit. The modding scene is full of people far smarter than I am

I have been waiting for a video of Shank mods for too long, well deserve it
3:24 I’m genuinely so happy that you tested out Crazy Taxi on this thing
These videos are awesome. The phone actually getting smashed and the kiddie kart LED lights at the end were pretty good one-off gags lol.
Man it’s been a while, happy to see you are back. Always loved your videos
Bro uploads a solid once per year
Shank hasn't posted a new video in over a year which can only mean one thing...
His next project is going to be *wild*
This is freaking incredible. I don't know why we haven't started doing this sooner. Whole different kind of immersion.

I’m so excited to watch this! Shank’s videos are some of my favorites on this entire platform.
it looks so good i want to eat it, also I love that you destroyed a phone just to make a point. please keep making amazing stuff!
I would love to see this kind of idea on a Wii U Gamepad or a 3DS Shell but even if that never happens this is still pretty amazing
Holy crap, you’re actually back! I’ve missed you a lot!
just met a homie of yours the other day, so glad to see you upload so soon after I subscribed!
