I had 2 of these, one Agate green dog leg manual B240 MFG and a Black Auto C70 TJB, both bought for around 3k back in the early 90's, the manual car was really very quick, I had a few e28's, the last being a Lachs silver shadowline 528i, factory fitted M5 chin spoiler, sports seats and rear boot spoiler, we had e12's as well, 520i 6 and a 520i kuglefischer injected car that was near new and pretty unreliable, constantly needing to be tow started by my dad's long suffering 3000E capri. Happy days, we found that the quality went down with each 5 series variant and we switched away after the e34's.
@classicbahnstormers246 are they still difficult for tyres? Only place I could find in the early 2000s was Avon tyres for the correct size...very often had to wait for another batch to be made..

I love the looks of the E28, especially in M-trim. My dream car is still the E28 M5.
