I collect the state quarters. I now have one 5 gallon jug FULL.... and have started on another! I guess I now need to have a state quarter project day to go thru my 5 gallon jug to see what I can find!!! EXCITING!! Thank you so much for your daily educational videos!! THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE IN THE EXPERIMENTAL STATE QUARTERS IS VERY INTERESTING! #addicted#lovecollectallcoins
Man, just when I start to feel like I've acquired about as much knowledge & experience as one could have in coins...I watch a JBCOINS Vid and learn something completely new
Im a member and collect the State Quarters as well. My father started before passing away. My kida and I are following his hobbies. Much love and God Bless.
Very informative, I'm new to this but have learned most of what I know from watching these videos. I love your vids thank you for your service and keep it up!
I have a collection of different quarter dollars and I have one pc of this DELAWARE 1787 -1999. Collecting coins are really interesting. Thank you for sharing this informative video.
I recently have been given access to my grandpa's coin collection. My grandfather is an 80 year old man who has been bound to a wheelchair for the past few years due to suffering his 3rd stroke. Unable to move his right side and living with my parents, he's been doing therapy to hopefully at least talk. He has a HUGE collection a lot of old and silver coins. Dates rage from old (I'm talking 1895 morgan dollar type stuff) to the 2000 state quarters. ALL of the state quarters are in fantastic shape! He even started putting all the the best looking ones in rolls by state, although never completed an actual full roll of any state. He did almost complete one which was California D, he had accumulated 38. I would add 2 more that I have personally found, but let me tell you; every single one of them are in gem/bu state! In my 5 years of coin collecting I have never seen such beautiful luster and I could not just add 2 other coins that can't match that criteria! Anyways, enough rambling. What I'm trying get at is that I have already pulled what I'm going to keep and I plan on becoming a member of a coin grading service and send some coins in and sell the others raw on eBay. Probably rolls of those state quarters with at least one of those brilliant Californias and also sell some graded ones. I'm going to give the money I make to my parents to help with my grandpa's speech and physical therapy and health care.
I don't collect state quarters. Didn't really understand how cool the program is. The experiment al are experiments not errors in my book. Thank you J and B
I didn’t know there were different types of metal compositions. That’s really cool. I need to go look at my state quarters. I have all the state quarters. Thank you for the information.
I COLLECT STATE QUARTERS AND LOOK FOR ERRORS. I DID NIT KNOW ABOUT EXPERIMENTAL PLANCHETS. I WILL BE WATCHING FOR. WOW SELLING PRICE IS AWESOME. GONNA UNROLL THE ONES I JUST ROLLED AND LOOK AT CLOSER. THANKS J&B GREAT INFO.
I was not aware of the experimental quarter’s. That would be so sweet to get one of those handed back to me in change. As I’ve mentioned in a few of the other statehood quarter video’s, I have two big blue books of these quarter’s. Each page has information about that state, stamp’s from that state, and a P&D quarter. I’m loving the information you are giving us about them! Thank you again!!
Being new to come and collect and I have not started collecting quarters but I have gathered a few I will start looking through them next week after this Interesting video
Experimental Quarters? Nope, thats a new one. Im keeping an eye out for any quarters that are different. Love to find one. I wouldnt call it an error coin but experimental. The error is that they got out maybe. They can call it whatever they like but just call it worth a lot of money. ha. Yes, I definitely save the quarters. Ive managed to get an example of everyone from P n D and a few proofs. I then get those booklets and put sets together. But the 2009 Guam and 2019 River has been a very limited find. Thanks for another great coin video JB.
I knew about the 1999 state Quarter experimental planchetts , but I did not know about the 2000 ones. I collect and like them as well. I have (3) Delaware spitting horses. Thanks for the info J&B
I didn't know about the experimental quarters. Thanks for the info. As a newbie, I've collected almost all the state quarters. I have a few left to go.
I have some uncirculated sets from 1999 and what not. I spotted some beautiful ones that I should have grated. Especially a Philadelphia mint Georgia that just beautiful .
Yes I do collect all Washington ‘,state quarters program quarters and it just so happens that the Delaware quarter you are showing is my second favorite after the Washington State of the state of Washington quarter. Also I cannot wait to see with my own eyes one of the experimental quarters.
Ive always wondered why i have quarters that look like this. I have 2 of them. The Delaware and New Jersey. I am going to weigh them right away.Thank you JB! You have taught me a great deal. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!
I had no idea! I was saving state quarters from the beginning and stopped. That was before I really became interested in collecting. I cannot believe they are worth that much money! State quarters are my fave. I am collecting them again!
I do collect these quarters.I'm always looking for state Quarters in "collectable/keepable" condition. I have several I've been collecting Knew about the different alloys but didn't know what to actually look for. Error or experimental, if found they will be saved. As always, thanks for sharing the information.
I never knew about the different alloy experiment 1999 quarters. I've never found any but will definitely be keeping my eyes open for them. Them is some nice high dollar coins. Thanks for sharing J&B.I do collect the state quarters but still missing just a few.
I did not know the reason behind the order of the release. Thanks! The tone of the experimental coin is interesting. I started collecting them when they first came out and didn’t keep up. I do grab ones I know I don’t have and set them aside when I see them.
I had no idea of the different experimental planchets. Ill be on the look out for 2009 gold or green toned state quarters and then make sure to weigh them. Your awesome Santiago!
I do collect Washington State quarters I have several great ones! I have some with errors as well. I have some with gold tone experimental error coins I do need to get checked out too. I dont know why they are called errors but jt it ups the value im all for it! Thanks J&B!
When i was younger, my Grandmother got my brothers and I State Quarter albums. I do believe they eventually got broken up and spent, sad. I have kept a few lightly blue toned State Quarters i found in rolls. And a few unnaturally shiny ones. PL for sure.
I know absolutely nothing regarding coins. However, in change last month I received a 1999 Pennsylvania Quarter with P mint mark. It stood out because it was extremely vivid silver on the face and back. It also has a gold edge as well as a gold lady liberty and a vase looking thing to her left. It weighs 6 grams even. Excuse my ignorance but I’m just trying to find out what it is exactly. I can’t find one online in a pic anywhere. It appears to be in excellent shape like it’s not been in circulation very long at all.
My brother just gave me his collection of his state quarters😁 definitely gotta check these out now, didn't know about these experimental quarters. I always feel like the mint does this on purpose with all the coins lol
Hey yes I knew about the experimental quarter looking for one! These are experimental released by accident Thank you for sharing you guys are awesome 👏
I remember in 5th grade our school had everyone submit a drawing for the design. I drew Ford riding on top of a turtle that was floating in the river below the Mackinac bridge for the michigan design. Should of drawn a modern mustang crashed into a burning house surrounded by huge abandoned building. Also, a plastic bag floating across the street.
Happy holidays to you and your family. I have not started looking through the quarters I have been collecting but I will definitely keep an eye out for these
Yes, I do collect the state quarters, and different series of our United States quarters. I love the art value very much, and enjoy hunting for the rarities too. So as to if I think the coins in question were errors or just experimental, I think maybe both? The experimental planchette was intended to be used, but I believe there is some die chip errors, off center punching, and possibly some doubling going on in the coins pictured. I didn’t know of all these variations though, or of their weights. pretty cool, thanks Mr J & Mrs B!
Thank you for this info j&b first off I hope mrs. B is feeling better secondly yes I do collect the state quarters and I had no idea they had experimental quarters
I was waiting to find out about these because I found a Pennsylvania on a manganese planchet. Condition EF to Au. I found in my pocket change when I was paying for something at the cash register. Edge of coin looks like a silver coin, but remember it has to be Philadelphia mint.
Now that I watched it again I guess it could be both. They made him like that but also there's errors like the rest of the coins. I'm glad I watched this video I haven't ever seen any of the gold ones but I have a couple of the other ones I found the New Hampshire and Montana. Those two are little darker then what you have on there. Also I found Alaska and Maryland and these all have errors on them. I didn't know exactly what to do with them until I really started looking at him and she needs now is going to send them in for grading. So thank you for this video JB.and yes I do collect all the new coins.i have a book 1999 to 2006 uncerulated.i also have 5 baggies of all the state quarters & still collecting.
We do collect the statehood quarters and have watched for the experimental quarters before but have yet to find any. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the great info!
Even the bicentennial quarter 1776-1996, I was amazed I got some of them but one really was so beautiful . Green color, so perfect. I'm just wondering why and might be a different coating too.
This is the first time to find out about the experimental coins I will be looking out for them now and I think it should be call experimental coin and not a error coin
This was news to me. There are so many quarters anymore that it is hard to keep up with them all. I did not collect the state quarters but I will keep and eye out for the '99s now.
