Okay the first review of the New Tune after install on ranger6g said this - (You would never know that it is tuned, drives just like stock just a little bit faster).
Dave lots of talk/arguing on ranger6g right now about Ranger Raptor warranty after (New Tune is installed). Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like this - New Ford Performance Tune for the RR has a 3yr/36k mile warranty from Ford Performance. If the powertrain fails during that period of time and Ford dealership or Ford Motor Co. determines that the Tune is what caused the powertrain failure it is covered by the Ford Performance warranty. If it is determined that the Tune did not cause the powertrain failure, then the Standard 5yr/60k mile Ranger Raptor powertrain warranty (Should) cover it. If there is a powertrain failure after the tunes 3yr/36k mile warranty expires and Ford Dealership or Ford Motor Co. determines that tune caused the powertrain failure, at that point you are paying to get the truck fixed out of your own pocket. That is sticking point for me because I paid extra $ when I bought my RR and I got the 6yr bumper to bumper extended warranty, so If powertrain failure happens after 3yr/36k miles and Ford determines that the Tune caused the failure I'm SOL, you are also in the same boat with your Standard RR 5yr/60k mile powertrain warranty if that happens after Tune warranty of 3yr/36k miles expires. Another thing to think about is this someone on one of the RR forums said that the new tune on the RR is only going to give you about 1/2 second quicker time 0 to 60mph and max speed of 107mph isn't going to change because of max speed tire rating.
@@2011buddyleeI’ll reach out to ford and ask about the tune. As far as quickness I was the tune for extra HPs but mostly for the extra torque. I’ve raced the RR enough to know it’s fast but in the dunes or desert that extra Torque will be huge
Dave on Aug 30th Ford Authority just did an article about how the New Tune affects your warranty on the Ranger Raptor, it's just like what I posted. Basically, during the Tunes 3yr/36k mile warranty period your good. After that tunes warranty expires though not good, all Ford has to say after tune warranty expires is that the tune caused the powertrain failure and that will Void your Standard Ranger Raptor 5yr/60k mile powertrain warranty and your extended bumper to bumper warranty. Then you are going to have to pay big dollars out of your own pocket to get the truck fixed.
3yr/36k mile Ford Performance warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician. Please contact the Ford Performance Parts Techline for warranty registration Is all I can get
@@AllTerrainNation Right definitely written up by a Ford Lawyer, in the Ford Authority article though it clearly says that the Ford Performance Tunes warranty of 3yr/36k miles starts on the purchase date of the truck not the purchase date of the tune. Also, it says that once the 3yr/36k mile period has ended and Ford determines that the tune caused powertrain failure to the truck at that point you're paying to fix the truck out of your own pocket.
From what I’ve been told. R.R ‘25 order books open sometime in Sept. then plus or minus 3 months usually before production will begin. I gave up looking for a 24’. 😢
Oh im sure by adding a new larger intercooler would help open it up more - I think you could hit 465-pretty easy with that and opening up the exhaust up a bit
Dave, Kelly, and I had a conversation about the tune, on my 2021… it’s fantastic! More than anything, it makes the transmission shift through gears so much smoother, and when you let off the accelerator, it eases the engine back down, and you drop speed quicker, without hard braking.
Kelly Dave's spending money again😅
I definitely want this upgrade
mine is on order too! cant wait. this thing is already awesome, it's going to be insane once this is in it...
I got one for my 2.3L bronco and I love it.
Huge power difference. Pretty Awesom.
Dude....going to order mine tomorrow, wish this vid popped before my parts guys left for the day
I’d do this upgrade for sure. Still waiting for my Ranger raptor build date.

Wooooohooooo
Ordered mine as well for the RR. Although I'm still waiting on my bed stiffeners
Great price for that much improvement.
This is AMAZING NEWS - that's a GREAT PRICE for 40 HP - Crazy....
Does the warranty stay the same??
Already have my RR on order so I’ll just add this
Ordered!!!
I'm ordering it, i have a RR on the way.
Like I needed another reason to get a Raptor
@@markking421 you need a his and hers
That is a ton of torque for $825!
Do you think the 25 Ranger raptor coming out this year or next year around march?

Damm Christmas is coming. Last year I got a new truck. This year I get a new tune for it. 😂😂😂
Ho Ho Ho!
Does it help the 0-60 alot with bronco
More HP will help but where you will really feel it is in the torque.
Any word on when the 2.7l V6 will be available in the Ranger?
I know they have it for the 2.7l bronco so I’d expect soon
Is this a premium octane tune or can it still run 87?
This is a great question.. I do not have the answer just yet but I would expect it’s a premium tune
@@AllTerrainNation The tunes cheap. The premium adds up. LoL.
@@AllTerrainNation yes on website where you order says 91 or greater required
If you are buying a high performance truck you can expect the upper cost all the way around lol. I know this pain for sure
Nothing was metnioned if the gains would be improved with an upgraded intercooler or turbo back exhaust. Show me 500hp with just bolt ons!
Of course you can get more out of it but Ford Performance is offering this as an affordable way to get extra power
@@AllTerrainNation don't get me wrong, I already ordered it lol. I'm just wondering what the additional gains would be adding the other hard parts.

How bout my 22 bronco
