This is awesome because this family started with simple fun ( always fun) videos and got big I certainly respect that it's hard work! Enjoy that Raptor because it's a 100k truck ( top of the line)
I live in Michigan, and I drive an F-150 4X4, and one item that I have on it is a brush guard that protects the front end in the event of a deer collision. You might want to look at a brush guard for your Ranger, and when it's installed, it won't interfere with opening the hood, and depending on the design, you can install lights on the guard for helping with night driving but check the regulations in New Zealand concerning the guard lights.
VEL0C1 is for Velociraptor the dinosaur famous from Jurassic Park. Raptor also are a type of bird. Enjoy the change in contact keeps it interesting with the occasional outlier. The editing in the beginning was amazing super professional and great blending of cuts and transitions.
As a new member of your New Zealand family, i just wanna say, i love your content. As an American car guy (not just American cars), i just wanna say, i couldn't have been happier to find this video. Well made and well done. Keep em comin. Im impressed. Yall are pretty good at this UA-cam thing. I appreciate your family vids, your reaction vids, your podcast, and this one as well. Thanks for doing what you do and being who you all are. Much love from South Carolina, USA!
Like it, want to see the progress in the future. I think it would be nice to see the others in the family doin similar things that involve their interests as well.
If you havent added one already i would add auxiliary cooler for the transmission. Your truck will last much longer and probably never overheat during its lifetime no matter how hot it is outside or how long you drive it. I put a transmission cooler in my ford and drove it for over 500,000 miles before the frame of the cr gave up. an oil reserve tank with a heater and a chiller can also add years to your truck. also an aux coolant tank will make it certain you will never run the dry either. The better you cool your engine and transmission the longer they will keep the truck running. These are all cheap and easy changes and worth every penny.
Oh you're even cooler now that I realize you have a raptor and used to have an accord euro R. This is exciting. My brother just bought a 2017 avalanche gray raptor and has been modifying it on a weekly basis so far.
What a sexy sound! My dad always had 13 Ford Mustangs...1 show room condition, 2 for daily driving, and 10 for parts for building to sell. You should here his1968 Mustang...almost sounds like your Ranger Raptor. Love Raptors!
Fellow Honda owner here. Have an 08 Civic Si, which has a 2.0 K20 engine that revs to 8000rpm. Put some airflow mods and lots of suspension upgrades, as well as other tiny upgrades here and there to make it better to drive. It’s a monster in corners and gets good gas mileage while still having some pep. Jealous of the Euro R, never seen one yet here in the states.
I have Kia stinger 3.3 twin turbo gt2 black with red interior and have done intake, exhaust, hks plugs, tune, and run an e85/93 octane blend for an e30 mix and it moves. its also an AWD btw. Another cheap mod that gives some insurance is An oil cath can. I have one aswell. Love is coming from Dayton, Ohio.
The guys from Fab Fabrications are awesome, grab yourself the matt black 4" tips man, finishes off the rear end nicely. Gives it a bit more of a nicer note too.
That would be known as the Honda Accord in the states. It’s a pretty standard sedan with a decent engine. It’s more an everyday car but it’s very customizable and I’ve seen some crazy modifications to them. Honda is a good brand as these cars don’t really break down as bad. Toyota as well. As long as people keep up with oil changes and replace belts, fluids, filters, and such they run practically forever. The only reason I got rid of my smaller Toyota suv was because someone put a tiny screw in the gas and it destroyed every cylinder. I replaced it with a standard Toyota sedan which works great.
You should try to do a “race experience” at a race track in America. At a lot of NASCAR tracks they have the Richard Petty Experience where you can suit up and ride along. We got up to 180 mph at Daytona International Speedway.
Those look like Vossen wheels. What size/offset did you run? The factory ones are so positive that it's hard to find ones with a concave design that won't extend too far past the flares.
You should drive a f150 lightning while in the states. They are rocket ships. Beautiful truck and love the murder out look as we call it in the states. the all black looks great and it's the way i ordered my lightning.
Once upon a time--the time when I spent 4 months in New Zealand--you never saw American cars there because apparently the import duty was HUGE. Most of the cars on the road were English and most were fairly old but excellently maintained (other Americans of my acquaintance took the opportunity to pick up a classic Jaguar).
Sam, The plate is for Velociraptor, but did you know that "Hennessey Performance" makes a kit for the 2024 Ranger Raptor to make it a 500 HP VelociRaptor 500?! Next upgrade to go for? LOL! 😉😀 Love that you're doing this kind of content on your channel. Gives us more insight into you and your family's interests and helps other people that are also into doing things like this themselves. Only one thing I would have added is to have Denz' do it with you (if he's interested) to make it a Father/Son bonding thing, but of course it's also something for you to have as your own thing, so it's great either way!
hi quick question i only have the 2024 ranger raptor w a 2.0, does it still fit the same way? and would you recommend upgrading a 2.0 engine or just trade it in for the 3.0?
When you get your exhaust, which maybe you already have by now... you should take it to a shop to get a new tune. They're professionals at extracting horsepower and torque. Technically your truck's computer will figure out you have more airflow in and out and adjust on it's own, but a tuner can make it perfection.
I'm good with all of the videos y'all have uploaded so far. It's a channel about your family so pretty much anything is fair game. It's one of the things I really enjoy about your channel!
The intro and all the editing was top notch!!! Great job on the video in general. The truck bug definitely bit you man. Careful..... the addiction can get expensive. LMBO. 😂😅😂
i have a big boy Raptor......and I have the ultimate upgrade......its a Roush Raptor .....its supercharged with 660 horsepower but its also built for off roading.
Yeah these new big trucks are really dangerous especially for pedestrians cuz if they get hit they won't roll up the hood they will get hit and vital organs and get sucked underneath the front
I have a friend who is looking to put a Coyote engine in his Ranger. He doesn't have the Raptor because he cannot justify paying $92,000 for a Ranger Raptor. He is putting a Coyote engine in with a 3 liter Whipple supercharger in his Ranger and is expecting to have get 1,000 horsepower.
5:30 Woah. Took me a sec to realize you said Subaru. Definitely not how it's said in North America (or the UK based on Top Gear), but now I wonder how the Japanese say it.
Hell yeah guys! Thanks for all the love! Intro editing 10/10!!

My gosh the intro was flawless 👌🏽 I’m so happy for you my brotha’ keep up the great videos and much love to the whole fambam 👨👩👧👦
I appreciate it!!
Oooh, nice!!! Looks fun!!! Btw, you did a masterful job with the filming and editing. I’d like to watch more raptor modification videos.
That feeling when a UA-camr from New Zealand with Italian heritage is more American than you 🇺🇸 🦅
Oh my gosh Sam! It doesn’t seem it’s been two years already! Time flys when you have the NZ family channel to watch!!
What a sexy sound! My dad always had 13 Ford Mustangs...1 show room condition, 2 for daily driving, and 10 for parts for building to sell. You should here his1968 Mustang...almost sounds like your Ranger Raptor. Love Raptors!
Oh Sam.. us Americans like this content we were waiting for this. We love power

For a moment I thought this was a Top Gear/Grand Tour intro lol
Nice truck , Veloci- raptor. I liked your vid mate. been a while since i was in taupo. Was good seeing the old home ground.

Keep it coming!
Plate is obvious “Velociraptor”..
Beautiful Truck and sounds great and I love the upgrade
Love the intro, now you have also involved the car culture. Everyone is going, What’s next?
The guys from Fab Fabrications are awesome, grab yourself the matt black 4" tips man, finishes off the rear end nicely. Gives it a bit more of a nicer note too.
Sam, should add a red pinstripe to the wheels, not a bright red maybe blood red or a black cherry red
Love the blackout job it looks great. 👍👍🦶🦶
Jeez, the Ford Ranger has come a long way. Not a small little commuter truck anymore for sure.
As a gear head,I love this content.
4th Generation Ford Truck man myself. I live my full sized Raptor. Great looking truck! Thanks for the video!
Love the big brother Raptors!!
@@yournewzealandfamily And you got quite a catch with yiur truck. Greetings from Phoenix, you are appreciated my friend.
another one of the MANY W'S on this channel
Sweet never seen one here yet in the states
I want a right-hand drive vehicle! :D

Y’all absolutely should check out the Raptor race with a Skydiver

Beautiful Truck ❤
Y'all are truly Blessed!
CONGRATS!!!
I love how it sounds after the install. I can only imagine how it will sound with a free flow exhaust.
Veloci raptor well played.
Those look like Vossen wheels. What size/offset did you run? The factory ones are so positive that it's hard to find ones with a concave design that won't extend too far past the flares.
MORE RAPTOR CONTENT PLEASE!
You should drive a f150 lightning while in the states. They are rocket ships.
Beautiful truck and love the murder out look as we call it in the states. the all black looks great and it's the way i ordered my lightning.
man take that thang back.. they put the steering wheel on the wrong side!
😉 nice ride tho! 😆
😅
I’m glad you made it. You and your family are the BEST.🌈🙏👍🍎🍷🌅❤️😍🏎️

My favorite New Zealand American family!! Awesome truck!
Mine too..in fact the only NZ family I know...love their videos
Okay the editing of this video is on par *insert Jurassic Park theme* since it is a video ahout a raptor
Thanks Jacob!!

Yes I was going to have Denz do it with me but we ran out of time and I had to rush the filming. Hope he features in Episode 2
hi quick question i only have the 2024 ranger raptor w a 2.0, does it still fit the same way? and would you recommend upgrading a 2.0 engine or just trade it in for the 3.0?
Awesome video guys. Keep up the good work. I feel like this guy really wants to live in Texas hahahaha.
Beautiful truck congrats
Yo im excited for the car content this is insane
Hi there just wondering what other air boxes you looked at and why you chose this one over any other thanks
Awesome truck! What brand/size of wheels and tires did you install?
The 2024 I believe is the first year you can finally get the Ranger Raptor in the USA now.
Sure is. Awesome truck
good looking truck. Yall remember the ford lightning? I used to have one of those lol
Awesome rig! What size and type of wheel and tyres have you got on her? Keen to put them on mine 👍
Im looking forward to more mods. Im planning on getting a ranger raptor in the near future. Are you going to go to the raptor assault school??
Even if it's not technically necessary, you should get a tune for any mods you have to get the most out of them and increase reliability
I'll do a few more upgrades then get a tune
its the VEL0C1RAPTOR !!
Love the channel! I really enjoy this video. Perhaps you could combine automotive content with sports and put it on your Kiwi Kicker?
Yes, thats the idea! 👊🏻
1:37 that was clean😫
The next thing that's needed is a lift kit, so high that you need a ladder to get into it. Perhaps, you could have hydraulics installed too.
My "Lotto Winner" ride is a Hennesey Bronco Velociraptor.
When you get your exhaust, which maybe you already have by now... you should take it to a shop to get a new tune. They're professionals at extracting horsepower and torque. Technically your truck's computer will figure out you have more airflow in and out and adjust on it's own, but a tuner can make it perfection.
Now I want one! 😃
Nice. My kind of truck ❤
Im glad that ford came back with the ranger and the bronco
Beautiful!!! 🎉
I also have anew raptor, all black. Where did you get the black raptor decals on the bedside?
Custom made locally
best looking truck i ever saw
Congratulations
What are your wheel and tyre specs? Thanks!

this was fire
i have a big boy Raptor......and I have the ultimate upgrade......its a Roush Raptor .....its supercharged with 660 horsepower but its also built for off roading.
Loved this video, something a little different
pros and cons of the airbox upgrade ?
I like the bridge design in your part of NZ.
The number plate has to mean velociraptor
3lier v-6? I remember my first Ford ranger..it’s a cute truck!
Beautiful truck. I had a 2016 F350 with a diesel. Not sure if you guys over there in New Zealand know what that is
We dont even get the F150!
@@yournewzealandfamilythat is a bummer. I have one with a 5.0L. It’s amazing.
Yeah these new big trucks are really dangerous especially for pedestrians cuz if they get hit they won't roll up the hood they will get hit and vital organs and get sucked underneath the front
You guys should react to the Kentucky state Choir national anthem
Over there is the Raptor based on the Ranger chassis? Here in Texas and in the US, it is based on the F150 chassis which is larger than the Ranger
Also now that you all have been here, i would like to say welcome my new kiwi American family!
Video idea: a true kiwi dinner party.
Like a dinosaur listen to it roar
Enjoy! How much of the exhaust are you doing?
Not sure yet, hopefully the whole thing. Will see whats available
ABCamping definitely has to get one!!!! RIP Bruce and Bruno!
The best upgrade any Raptor owner can do is trade it in for a TRX 😉. Just kidding, that's a beautiful Ranger Raptor
Really like you truc
Whipple Supercharger. Go fast.
That would be epic!
I put one in my 2012 Raptor. It goes.

License plate gotta be an abbreviated of Velociraptor
Steering wheel is still on the wrong side, but other than that, everything looks great! 😂
👍👍👍👍👍 can’t wait to see more upgrades.
Love my Ford
