That zone was always very mysterious and... almost mystical. The way you go into the zone was special, the way you quest in the zone was cool The patrolling mobs were cool too. It had a cool vibe. The end of the zone was hyjal.. a secret zone. The other size had secret caves full of deadly dragons.
Winterspring has always been my favorite zone and still is. I just wish more stuff happened there. I spent a lot of time there after I got max level in Wrath to work on the Saber questline and was so happy when I finished the grind. It is still one of my favorite mounts. I will almost always go here to level as well

I always do Felwood before going to Winterspring. One of the first NPCs you talk to in Felwood actually starts the Zin'malor quest, which I always save for later. The first quest you do in Felwood introduces you to the Timbermaw furbolgs. Eventually, your adventures in Felwood lead to Timbermaw Hold where the last quests of the zones involves saving cubs and stealing weapons from the corrupted Blackwood tribe. After that, your rep with the Timbermaw tribe is good enough, that the quest giver sends you to the quest giver at the Winterspring entrance. From there you do the Winterfall questline which ends with the dwarf lady sending you to her friend at Lake Kel'theril, which is where the Zin'malor quest starts for real. I've always seen Winterspring as a continuation of the Felwood quests, kinda like how one anime arc leads to another.
I’ve legit just never been here on any of my characters. There’s 0 modern day use to it when leveling alts. That’s sad because this place seems really nice

It sucks that the quest line that gave the story of the owlkin (moonkins) is gone it was one of my favorite things of the zone arguably to me one of the best rp stories in classic wow
IIRC the weaponmasters were there for blacksmith specialisation back in the day. Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember that I had to go see them at one point with my warrior/blacksmith for specialising into an weapon type, so it may have been a class quest instead of a profession quest.
pffh... 20 days later to get a WInterspring Saber... I had known the first 8 Winterspring Saber mount achievers prior to the major rep changes, which nerfed the time it took. I was 4th or 6th on the server. It was a lot of fun working with them to earn that mount back in those days...
I was a bit surprised that when account wide mounts came into the game I got the Winterspring Frostsaber for free as I had the Venomhide Ravasaur for a couple of years at that point.

Dissapointed rly. There's a rewlly good lore backstory to Shy-Rotam and why the Wintersabers there are technically allied with the night elves. Also no mention of the original path to the mount? Which was a thousand times more work than "1 daily for 20 days". Nor the rare hunter pet Rak'shiri?
@Nobbel87 , i have very fond memories of The Hinterlands - the beautiful forest land surrounded by mountains and the mysteries with trolls undead and spiders... i would love some in depth lore and knowledge about that area :) so if you could make that your next video i would be honored

I was level 58, trying to grind out to 60, the day BC came out. Fond memories. Also, sneaking into Hyjal, hoping a GM didn't see you, was fun, too!

My druid lived in Winterspring way back in classic. 840 quests, 840 quests it took to get that Wintersaber mount, and god damn did I love that thing.
