I know that TBC was a weird part of the lore but even internally it makes no sense if I think about it. Between the dark portal opening for the first time and the events of TBC the amount of time that supposedly passed was around 10 years and yet the advanced population of adult netherdragons (black dragon brought there by Deathwing in his pact with Nerzhul) would make it seem like they must have been there for at least a few generations already. Kaelthas and Vashj built up giant and very complex industrial facilities seemingly from scratch in a matter of just 1-2 years between Arthas ascending the Frozen Throne and Lord Kazzak reopening the portal? The whole chronology of events if thought about in a logical way would make it seem like these things must have all happened over a much larger timescale to be believable.
Addendum: Actually the time for Black Dragons to be on Outland must be even less than 10 years because thats when the first war between Orcs and Humans happened, whereas the deal with Nerzhul and Deathwing only occured after the Second War during Beyond The Dark Portal which in the beginning of Warcraft 2 it explains as having happened 5 years later. So really everything we see regarding the Netherdragons settling in Outland and fighting the gron etc must have happened in less than half a decade
@@Breaker242 - Development on Outland post-Third War was pretty quick, but you're actually wrong about the amount of years passed.
