I have small traditional locs I started myself and they DO swell. I love seeing black women take off their wigs and embrace their natural hair. Oh thank God, they swell. I'm 6 weeks in, started with small diy two strands and they're a little fuller than when I started but not much. Got fine hair as well, medium-low density.

@DiamondKeysTV do what you have time for. I've been taking weekly pictures, so I can do comparisons. You could try that and maybe make a video if you notice something exciting. So far, I've been excited about the tighter curled ends and frizz, which came in around 3 weeks. Still got kinda flat hair, but not as flat as week 1. I didn't lock my roots at the beginning, so also by week 3, i had hella loose roots and growth, so i did a mini retie... gonna wait another 3 for the next. I got some loose hairs everywhere in the middle of my head from unraveling, which I don't like, but I wrap them back around the twists and hope that they eventually matte into the hair. Anyway, I look forward to watching you!

Welcome to the club I am 5 months Tomorrow and my hair is thin around the edges as well. I was able to add some baby locs on those edges on my last retie🥳🥳. Your hair is beautiful looking forward to following your progress enjoy the journey!!

Great job. I am considering either sisterlocs or microlocs. Leaning more on the micro side cause sisterlocs are more expensive. Also looking for shops in my area. Your sis did a great job and you look fab!!
Thank you Alexis, and yes Microlocs I highly recommend now they both can easily snap off no lie but make sure when ever you choose is educated in it

It takes awhile to grow your back out especially if you sleep on your back. I shaved my back. I'm going to start mine next week. I'm starting to think that maybe I shouldn't have shaved my kitchen.
