Girl,I just started my loc journey a month 1/2 ago. It’s something so humbling and beautiful about a loc journey. The self love and patience that it comes with is priceless. Not to mention the benefits of protecting your hair, saving money,etc! They look so good! Keep up the good work love! 💙🥰

With the chewing the inside of your gums, get your iron levels checked. After I had 2 iron infusions, I didn't have the urge to do it again.
You’re the only other person I’ve seen who started with 3 strand plats as well. I did the same on 7/22/21. Very nice.
Really? A lot of the braidloc UA-camrs now have mature locs or have been locked for 5+ years. There are a few just starting their journeys also that I have discovered.
I started with braid locks as well. It was july24th,2022. I’m out growing the ugly stage now, but love it!!❤️❤️🙌🏽
Girl, you had me cracking up lol!. I am looking to start my local journey soon. I was debating between starting with twists first , but after watching you, I am leaning towards braid locs. You didn't take long to do them either. I have heard of some people taking almost 3 months to install on their own. Plus the money you have saved! Good job!
If you really want to, you can do it!!! It’s not so bad. You are I didn’t try to get over 400 locs I just went with what felt right for me!

We have similar hair texture and density. I was worried about my hair being to thin for micro locs. I’m excited to see someone with similar hair to me.
That was one of my concerns too with my own hair! So far I’m loving how it looks and it has thickened up quite a bit.

omg, I definitely want to loc my hair for my birthday which is at the end of November. I don't want to do microlocks/sisterlocks but I want to do medium-size locs since my hair is thick. I have so many questions lol.
The knotty truth books helps but find a good loctician in your area and they’ll sure take care of you!

@@TommieMarie girl a million years! Lol It took me like 4 days and then even after that, I washed it at the two week mark and had to fix a lot of them because they got back puffy. My fingers hurt for days but at least it’s done. I’m happy. I don’t have to do my hair like that anymore, all I do is moisturize and put them in twist on the weekend then take them out for church Sunday.

I’m so ready to loc my hair!! I’ve been looking at the process so far it seems like it’s going to be lengthy because I have 4C hair & it’s long.
I hope you love them, and good luck on journey. One thing I’ve learned is with locs ‘less is more.’ I literally just posted my 1 year loc update, if you’re interested.
