3 weeks on my microlocs journey with short low density hair i and appreciate your honesty. It really help me to recognize where i am and where I'm headed. Again thanks for your honesty.
I’m 6 months into my microlocs journey. I have soooo much shrinkage which irks my spirit. I didn’t know that my hair was as fine as it was when I was a loose natural. I have mixed feelings about my locs but am trying to trust the process.
Trust the process. There was a period where I saw no growth (it was but it was shrinking as it compacted). Now my locs are starting to head down the beginning of my back! Locs evolve so if you hang in there you will get your results. Check out my 3 year anniversary video and you will see different stages and the progress. Keep me posted on your journey!
I know your comment is old but I’m 3 weeks in. I have fine low density hair too. Although I feel like when my hair was loose it was much longer. I hate the shrinkage already. Trying to trust the process.
Yes I do have soft hair, I have braided I am going into my my 4th Month journey. My ends are loose. So I am use to it .I am loving my journey. Thank you.
You are my FAVORITE LOC QUEEN!!! I’ve been doing my research between sister locs and micro locs. With my thin, cotton like hair, I’m leaning towards micro locs... I want to color my hair first. Consult is 2/18!!!!
Aww thanks❤! I colored my hair the day before I got my locs. I think I'm going to touch it up in April! I'm excited for your upcoming appointment! Let me know how it goes!!

@@microlocsandmore I've been considering microlocs for awhile but couldn't find anyone who would discuss the cons. Thanks to your video, I feel prepared and I'm going to schedule a consult. Your locs are beautiful! You're out here changing lives. 🙂 Keep up the great content, love your personality.
Thank you. I came here searching because I was frustrated and ready to pull these out. I'm 5 months in and there's no change. I have frizz for months. My hair is unraveling. I constantly have to retwist. Dry itchy scalp.
Spray with water, tie-down with scarf at night in a ponytail and I added a fake loc bun I made. I also put a little edge control on my edges and put headband on. Looked beautiful. Wish I could send u a pic
i'm six months in and though i'm quite patient i'm bout tired of these loose ends😆 i've make due with twist outs; which was my go to as a loose natural anyway. Your tips are very helpful and encouraging.
For how long do I have to continue banding and braiding? I have fine hair and I started my locs with twists 3 months ago. I am noticing that when I undo the braiding , the hair matts together and it's difficult to undo and I end up with a lot of unraveling. Please help
Similar thing happened with my hair also. Whenever I braided it, it matted together, especially the ends. I stopped braiding and started twisting them for washing etc and at night (the locks still young). When I switched to the twists instead of braids, the matting significantly reduced. I also don't twist all the way to the tip.
@@night3angel One thing is for sure. We all have different journeys and sometimes we have to improvise based upon our individual needs. So glad you figured out how to stop the matting. Great tip!❤️
I would hide them with a bobby pin. The other locs did a good job camouflaging the loose ones. Sometimes I would wrap the loose hair around another loc (if it was a short loc).
@@microlocsandmore thanks for your quick response! I have thick course hair been natural for about a year and a half I got instant locs 1.21.22 I'm taking them down now just got tried of not being able to move it around lol I've been on UA-cam checking out a lot of videos on micro locs since last weekend so I think I've made my decision but I still have questions 😅

Yes! There are those rough moments but in the end it works out to be awesomeness!
My hair was literally loced in 6 months at the nape. And the front is a frizzy mess 😂

I had the go ahead to stop from my loctician. It was around the year mark. Maybe you could make an appointment with a loctician for a consultation.

What did you do with the loose hair until you got to your loctician?
I would hide them with a bobby pin. The other locs did a good job camouflaging the loose ones. Sometimes I would wrap the loose hair around another loc (if it was a short loc).
What method did u get
