DeMar DeRozan can't lead a team to a chip,he's a good 2 piece though
I see him potentially as a fit because his mid range game forces the other team to crowd the paint leaving our three point shooters open at the 3 point line.
I love the idea of DeRozen joining the Kings. We need playmaking, ISO options that aren't named Fox/Monk. Side note: let's pull for Isaiah Crawford to develop quickly into a strong backup for DeRozen. Defensively, Crawford ranked only behind Dunn in the draft for Stocks percentage...

I’m 4 minutes in but derozan also has been top 5 in clutch as well. Dude hits bangers at the buzzard . Him and Fox at the end of a close game??? He hits that shot against the warriors 2 years ago.
Man, if we could get DeRozan AND Kuz/BI that would be an insane starting lineup
HB is rarely used in the dribble hand off action. But he thrived attacking the closeouts from Kegs/Kevin in the DHO in that year he played well (hence the free throws). This last season, the Kings decreased the dribble hand off action, and those close outs weren't there for Barnes. If the Kings got someone who is better at attacking closeouts, they'd be better. If that guy is a plus defender, even better.
The Kings definitely still used the DHO with Barnes and he would often stop halfway and pull from three, but they did also decrease usage overall as you said.
Not good Toronto traded him for kawhi even though he said ill leave for la but they still did
He was born and raised in Compton. He's going to LA where he probably wants to finish his career. Kings are just being used for negotiations again

Not an awful fit, hes a bit old, but is he better than HB. If you can make it so a guy of HB's talent is coming off the bench by getting a guy like DeRozan, its an overall net win for us and doesn't hamstring us the same way some of these major trades would.

If we get DeRozan and Lauri for Huerter and Barnes, we are going to be really good. I am okay with giving up picks, but we must get those two guys. Keep Keegan no matter what. He is a two-way player like PG and Kawhi. We need players that will complement each other and the team's system. Coach Brown is known to be a defensive guy but showed in his first year that he has an offense up his sleeve. Let's stop being fans of names like Brandon Ingram, as he is not a healthy guy. It's like having a 40-year-old Michael Jordan on your roster. Be patient and be smart. This team is already good; they just need key pieces that will complement each other. The NBA is undergoing a paradigm shift towards team play. We already have stars in Fox and Sabonis; we just need to complete the puzzle of this team.

People need to stop bringing up Lauri like it is a realistic possibility. The kings just don’t have the asset to beat out other teams for him. Especially when you’re dealing with Ainge.

I don’t wanna see the kings trade any first rounders unless it’s for a superstar which would require patience but at the same time we don’t have next years pick in a loaded draft class so I really don’t wanna see Atlanta get a lottery pick either. Fox also has two years on his contract so we also gotta improve the roster so he’ll stay. Really tough situation to be in😭
Not sure what you’re saying. The pick owed to Atlanta is top 12 protected so even if it’s lottery pick it would be 13th or 14th.

I’m just saying I don’t wanna see us trade our picks for somebody that doesn’t actually make us title contenders and then fox walk out the door. They’ve gotta make a move but they also gotta be careful cuz they could send the kings into another decade of misery

Probably Kuzma, and move Keegan to the 3.
From a Kings perspective I would say Kuzma because I think Kuzma can guard the bigger and stronger wings and forwards. Also I don’t think pairing Ingram and DeRozan is really possible based on the contracts.
But I would be 1000% okay with either along with DeRozan.
Cam Johnson. You need 3 & d with derozan, cheaper too
I definitely like the idea of a lower usage guy. Cam Johnson has proven to be good at that. With someone like Kuzma it would be a big ask for him to buy into that role.
He should just swallow his pride and sign with a team for the MLE for 1 season if he wants to win so bad like he says
I think Ingram fit better. If we can somehow get DeRozan and Ingram at the same time, that'll be great. Maybe it might not be DeRozan...maybe the Kings are using this to propel Pelicans toward a deal. Because remember, the Pelicans without the Kings, probably don't have anybody to facilitate a trade deal and remove Ingram out of their cap.
Pairing Ingram and DeRozan is definitely not going to happen, but I would be happy with either Ingram by himself or DeRozan with the possibility of adding another wing.
@@theroyalreport2670 how far off of not possible is it if we traded Heurter 2nd round pick to bulls,HB first round and vuc to pelicans . Ingram and Derozan to kings 🤔 sounds crazy but I feel like they all cater to eachothers trade needs

Please don't trade for him he is 35.
He will be 35 and one could argue he’s never been better. Averaged the most minutes per game in the league and was amazing in the clutch. I don’t think he needs to utilize athleticism too much to score so he’s aging well.

Bulls will get 2nd round picks. Go look at the sign and trade that have happened. They aren’t getting Huerter unless there is more coming back as well. This will probably be a 5-6 team trade. Book it.
I don’t think the Kings would mind giving up Huerter’s contract to the Bulls, but he could go to a third team.
@@theroyalreport2670 Huerter has value in the trade market. It’s not really about “minding” giving him up, but his contract gives you the ability to add more. Wish they still have Davion’s contract.
That’s true. Demar is probably better than every other player that has been sign and traded so far so if we have to give up Huerter and some seconds I would still do it. It would be nice if we could get more value from other teams in an expanded deal.
@@theroyalreport2670All the other players in the recent Sign and trades were for smaller salaries that teams fit in under the MLE or another exception. That’s not the case for Derozan. The salaries have to match within 10% so Huerter and his salary would need to be included. A lot of rules in the collective bargaining agreement and it’s hard to know them all.
