You make some good points I think the problem with waiting is if they don’t get off to a great start suddenly the price for the players they want goes up
Mike Brown said he thought he can contend for the championship last season (and then started HB 82 games) - hes probably the one who wanted to re sign him
@@hc434 you’re exactly right. I think Mike Brown is the guy holding him here. Talking about “we don’t run plays for him”. I’m sorry… is that an excuse for him to contribute nothing else to the team? Even his rebounds were horrific this season. Get him out of here and bring in a high motor guy who plays his position and see the night and day difference.
What makes you think they aren't actively trying to trade HB? You do know reports have said HB, Heurter, and picks are on the table right? lol people really just pull stuff out of their bums and call it facts. 🤡
Monte needs to go if they run it back. 2 years of the same glaring problem--HB--but this guy can't fix it. We don't know what this team can be because they won't upgrade a forward spot. Not signing Jalen Smith was a huge mistake--perfect PF next to Sabonis. Not getting a real 3/D SF for 2 seasons, when most people saw this a mile away, another huge mistake. Imagine if Kegs was the second best perimeter defense on this team...
If the kings run it back they are a play in team at best. Grizzlies added into the mix, suns and pels will be better the top 4 is pretty set with dalllas denver okc and minnesota. Kings current roster is not a top 6 team when healthy just relying on injuries to hit other teams.
This is a playoff roster, but with coach Brown insisting on starting HB every game, and DNP'ing Keon Ellis as much as he did, they missed it. Monte needs to make the roster so good that Mike Brown can't mess it up
If the kings run it back again say goodbye to FOX and say hello to the play in tournament. Monte and Vivek need to upgrade the PF position and stop messing around !
If Mike Brown simply started Lyles over HB, reduced HB's minutes a lot, and capitalized on Keon Ellis after he showed he's arguably the best defender early in the season, they would've had at least 50 wins and avoided the play-in. I also believe Mike Brown lobbied for HB to be re-signed given he believed he can contend for the title last year with HB starting. Part of Monte's job is saving the organization from Mike Brown's poor decision making.
@@theroyalreport2670 "we expect to compete for a championship" were his exact words from a media scrum on October 2nd, while answering a question about (last season's) expectations
He has tried to establish a winning culture, but I don’t see how that could be seen as him not wanting the Kings to bring in more talent because of Harrison Barnes.
Running it back is palatable when we imagine everything developing optimally internally. Any glitch means this team goes backwards, and it could be a slippery slope.
If they Kings running it back, I'll be less interest in watching them for sure...cuz I know what to expect. I feel like something is about to go down behind the scene...each team is waiting for the other to budge. They're asking for Keegan or Carter or additional 1st round...something the Kings are not willing to do.
If the Kings run it back, they're a play-in team at best. Vivek is cheap, Monte is toooo patient, and Brown is too stubburn to react quickly. He didn't start monk for example even when they were shorthanded. lol WHO DOES THAT to one of the best players on the team.. I would get it if they were logjammed on the front but they werent.

No doubt. It’s a matter of whether the Kings become the desperate team or if another team like the Pelicans becomes desperate.
Their obsession with HB is going to be the Kings downfall.

@@rp2808 I'm sure even coach Brown can see that's not feasible now, but it's too late. They're saddled with that contract
If BARNES remains on the team and kings don’t make that move say goodbye to FOX 🤣

That will be great! We will become again an offensive team and maybe, if we are lucky we will find a better coach!

Mike Brown never said he thought they could contend for a championship. He said they have championship expectations which is a lot different.

Like I said championship expectations. There’s no way he thought they could actually win it all.

if Monte runs it back again this coming season, seriously my grandma could have done his job. He needs to go if we end up running it back again.

HB's contract must be difficult to move... still 2 years left on it. It seems way more problematic than everyone made it out to be initially
Bein a kings and a cowboys fan is tough😭😭 I think everyone will be very disappointed
Same here man. Every trade deadline Bobby Wagner might come, Von Miller's close, Derrick Henry too...then...nothing. 😭
Kevin huerter has a UA-cam channel ?!?

41 wins at best
44 * if they make no moves
I won’t watch a second
