Will be on this ship in August. Living in Vancouver I've seen this docked several times and I'm always shocked to know that this is a _mid-sized_ cruise ship. It's massive.

Great, detailed tour. She was docked today in San Diego and is an impressive vessel. Looking to try our first ever cruise on her next spring just after watching a few videos this evening.
We are booked on the Nieuw Statendam for November '26. Love your approach to cruising and it has us prepare for our first ever cruise which was delightful . We just got off yesterday.
I really love your ship tours but until we got back last week from our first cruise ever, I did not know what you really capture so well. Cameras flatten out the view and so I never realized how darn big the ship would be {slightly smaller than a pinnacle class}. Now watching this I see how well you capture the depts and make the ship seem alive. Keep up the great work! We can't wait to be on the Nieuw Statendam on an upcoming cruise.
@@NorthernVikingExplorer Appreciate that information regarding when the video was shot, as I also was wondering about how was it so few folks were up and about in the AM, for breakfast. It also appears to have been a sea day simply based on the exterior shots. We have a Christmas cruise upcoming, our third time aboard her as well.

Beautiful ship. Curious to when you took this video when it was empty? Great to see it without all the people.
This was in early to mid-july but as for time of day it was around 7:00 a.m. so it was still pretty quiet.

Why are all of the hot tubs closed?

If I’m not wrong I believe Explorations cafe and grand Dutch cafe both offer complimentary pastries
The Grand Dutch cafe definitely does but I didn't check the explorations cafe.
