Mr. Alex Ross, if you read this message , I want to tell you that it is an honor to see your videos about your art , which is undoubtedly beautiful, both in DC and Marvel.
His comics that I have are Kingdom Come and Marvels are my favorites ❤
Absolutely breathtaking! Marvels was such a revolutionary book for so many of us. I love that you revisited it. I need to pick up Epilogue.
Just wanted to say I love your videos and they've inspired my art so much. Thank you for making your amazing and Inspiring content
@@wolverine9049 You're too kind. Thank you! ♥
@@wolverine9049i love those shorts too!!😭this man is my herooo
YOU!!!
The transition from sepia tone frames to technicolor frames is so genius. That’s very much in the essence of golden age and silver age comics.
These blew my mind in the 90s, I live in Finland where access to comics was limited and publishing these was probably a passion project of someone working in a larger publishing company. Before this, it never came to me that you could mix water color and super hero stories, instead of limiting it to European art comics with adult themes.
Crazy how I just picked up and read this masterpiece this Christmas, and now an epilogue thanks Alex!
For a second there, I thought the other dude was a statue… until he moved
I love his art. It's like his paint brush gives us a glimpse into another world.
This series blew me away the first time I read it (new from the comic book shop). I immediately wanted to paint like you. I never achieved anywhere near that. I met you at a signing in St. Louis around the time "Kingdom Come" came out and was pretty "fanboyed" at meeting you. I said a few ridiculous things and went on my way. Thanks for the great work.
Hi Alex! I love your job. But I still prefer to believe that the character is a tribute to one of the greatest film directors and illustrators, the Canadian Frédéric Back, Oscar winner for the animation "The Man Who Planted Trees", based on a homonymous story by the Frenchman Jean Giono. His physical appearance greatly resembles Philip Sheldon, including the eyepatch. The resemblance is very great between this director and the character from Marvels. :) Keep creating! o/
Great art stands the test of time. Your work will beat the clock, always.
I love this stuff! Your artwork looks like a serial of Norman Rockwell paintings!
I remember when this came out and I gave almost every person I knew a guided tour of how incredible it was... It was like NOTHING I had ever seen. It was the first time REALLY seeing these characters as living, breathing people (or mutants or aliens or whatever)
Amazing.
I like how the character of Phil Sheldon prefers the Miranda brand of SLR cameras. I have 4 myself and they're great.
This man is why I learn art.
Alex Ross art work is a Marvel to behold. Love his interpretation and look of the many characters that we have known of and love. Alex Ross is a fantastic artist and his artwork brings a beautiful connection between the fantasy and reality. You sir are an inspiration to many people. Love his work. For all that you have given us I wanted to thank you.
Absolutely marvelous
Kingdom Come is still one of the best stories I have ever read. It inspired me to make my own science-fantasy universe filled with heroes, villains, and those in between. Each with great power and responsibilities, and with said power, significant consequences.
Tuve guardado por años Marvels sin sacarlo del envoltorio hasta que leí Justice. Gracias por todo Alex
So freakin amazing. I also have the Marvel's and Kingdom Come. Most of my comics feature your artwork like Justice the Deluxe Edition, which I'm currently reading. Your work is impressive and I enjoy your content.
THANK YOU, not only for this for all of them 👌🏻😊
