I love season 7. It might not be as witty or as funny or as sharp as the ASP years, but it definitely brought back the heart of the first few seasons. Rory felt more like Rory again. The cynicism of the previous years was dialed down. Stars Hollow was Stars Hollow again. The revival threw all of that out the window.
The revival felt like it was written by a drunk old depressed man who had the need to make hooligans of people disappointed and baffled by the way he messed up our most beloved characters🥴
Agreed. She is QUEEN. The gruesome twosome are annoying as usual. I love Emily's outfit here, too. Very classy. I don't understand why the writers had Em on this road trip. If I were her I wouldn't waste my time with Heckle and Jekyll.😅
This episode showed Lorelai at her worst. Rory understood the need to be sensitive to Emily's feelings re the Mia situation. Even Mia understood it. But Lorelai did not care about Emily's feelings at all, which is who she always was-a spoiled selfish childish person who only cares about herself. Ugh.
I think that's a little unfair. You cannot always demand unwavering empathy from everyone. Mia was a mother-like figure in Lorelai's life , and her enthusiasm for something that is clearly a momentous event in Mia's life , should not be curtailed simply because Emily doesn't feel comfortable with it. Emily chose to go on that trip with them, fully aware of what that would entail. Why should Lorelai have to pay for it? You cannot expect everyone to accomodate your needs and whims all the time. It should also be noted that the relationship that Lorelai has with Mia is far more intimate than the one with Mia probably has with Rory. Rory likely remembers the woman from her younger years and thinks of her fondly but Lorelai met her during her adolescence / young adulthood, which likely allowed her to forge a stronger bond, especially because Mia helped Lorelai, without any ulterior motives, during such a trying time. She should be allowed to express her enthusiasm for someone so important in her life.
@@pratishthashukla4325 I stopped after the first sentence. That told me everything I needed to know as did the size of the paragraph you wrote. You were triggered because you are an ungrateful spoiled entitled person who treated your mother like crap so you attempted to justify it. No sale. Your mother has my sympathies.

The precise moment you allow yourself to feel the smug superiority of knowing that you're not either one of *them.*
Rory was cute there
Emily was just hilarious in the whole scene 😂

Rory with the exception of season 6 has always been sensitive to her grandparents
And now, that's a very common attitude from adult children.
@@teresasalisbury4748 Agreed. A bunch of spoiled entitled brats.
I know that diner
It was the 101 Coffee Shop in Hollywood. It’s now closed but it was a fun place to go to. Good milkshakes. Diner food.
