Thanks for reviewing my fight with Donnie. It was a lot of fun. Im actually half Chinese half American 😂 so it was difficult to say some of that dialogue. Im also not a karate practitioner but a wing chun practitioner for 25 years. There’s a spin for you. God bless and have a great day 😎
Thank you so much & my comments werent personal . I just lost myself into your character 🤣 you were amazing in the movie though ! God bless . Its an honor for you to comment on our channel 😭🙏🏼
Ayy it’s the man Chris Collins himself 🤪❤️
Yessss ❤️
Chris that was a good fight scene. Im thinkin of getting back into martial arts myself
Chris Collins i saw some footage of you using the footwork from Wing Chun in fire arms training ... do you still do that kind of training ?
What my Chinese dad told me after we watched IP Man 4 together:
"The problem with all these masters is that they don't exercise like they were when they are young.
Using Chinese kung fu to fight people has 2 stages, physical conditioning, and form, as with all martial arts. You condition your body to tolerate punches and last long in a fight, and then teach the forms and strikes to go offensive.
When you are young(16-24), you have the bone structure to tolerate punches and the strength to grab and throw, that's why is some Chinese martial art movies show the characters running to warm up, punching trees, beating themselves with bricks, and lift boulders. They build their bodies up to not get hurt easily should they get caught getting punched.
Then after physical conditioning, then they teach the strikes and blocks of the king fu to go on offense. Each stage can take up to 5 years per stage to be really effective as the masters of the past.
(Keep in mind tho, they trained from sun up to sundown with barely any breaks, and they were beaten up and picked on a lot when they were younger, giving them the motivation to go through this bitter process.).
With these masters, they are practicing the form's blocks and strikes without continuing to conditioning their body, making the strikes and blocks ineffective to a younger, stronger guy, like this karate master. He only has to punch a few times and the masters are out.
With IP Man, however, he continues to condition his body by hitting his arms and legs on the wooden dummy, making his bones denser and better able to withstand the karate master's attacks.
When people want to learn kung fu, they only want to learn the blocks and strikes and not focus on physical conditioning and think that it will make them a better fighter. That's a mistake.
If you don't know what it's like to get beat up, can't stand being punched, and want to learn how to fight with kung fu, forget it.
If you want to learn kung fu because you think the forms are cool, and you want to increase flexibility and stamina, fine. But if you want to fight with it, you need to be young, and very physically fit to even begin to learn this stuff."
That's my dad's take on all martial arts movies.
But Keep coming with the content!! Love Y'all!
Wow you have a wise father ! It is very interesting learning about the art of kung fu and Chinese martial arts . Thank you so much for your continuous insight !
Your dad is very wise Justin
Good comment, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks man
This is an extreme advice. Thanks man
i was mind blown when i found out the martial art ip man used was founded by a woman. mad respect to her
it is actually suits him because he's a small dude. wing chun main practice is to use the attackers power against themselves, thats why he chose it
The reason why it's made by a woman, cuz at the time there's a lot of cases where males bully females. A woman decided to invent a fighting style which has self defense to bullies.
It is called one inch punch it is from Bruce Lee
A shaolin nun named Ng Mui created dragon style kung fu which jet li/yulaw uses in the one, creator of snake style not snake fists (hung gar variant), and white crane kung fu, and sole creator and teacher of yim wing chun herself which is what the system is named after, Ng mui if anything created the system with yim wing chun by combining elements and techniques of snake style kung fu and white crane kung fu the hand techniques come from techniques of the white crane (wing chuns sole foundation) but the ferocity and speed comes from the snake style it’s techniques can be seen in the biu gee form and lessons meant for deadly strikes and self defense tactics
@@wongjunquanBruce Lee did not invent the one inch punch I’m sick of hearing this nonsense. That was around before his grandparents were even thought of yet 🤦🏾♂️ Bruce made it popular he did not invent it
So the guy who played the white guy, is actually a soldier who was stationed in China and is a master in Wing Chun, and actually presented Wing Chun to the military to incorporate into their training (much in a similar manner to the Asian soldier in the movie).
Yeah he's Chinese and based in Hong Kong.
@@AcadianBacon8 Chinese-American
I didn't know that.
They Black belt is a real life wing chun master.
I love how y’all are so into Chinese culture. I rock with these Ip man reactions heavy. Keep doing your thing! 💯💯
Gotta remember, these movies are back in like the 40's, so basically every insult is a 'colorful metaphor'. Lol
The movie is sets in the 1960's or 1970's around bruce lee was doing tournaments
1963
Before sadly short to fame in Hollywood.
Y’all are the best when y’all post these videos 💪🏽
“It’s only white people who say that” my guy welcome to 1970s lmao it’s meant to be true to the time
It's still a very stupid thing to say. As if there were no black people who are racist.
I saw Ip Man 4 in a theatre in Hong Kong when it first came out, and you should have seen the crowd’s reaction to 7:08, people were cheering and shit
LMAo
4:03 The master you mentioned isn’t just in the movie Ip Man 2, but he was also in classic kung fun movies from the 1970s. He starred in the movie The Kid with the Golden Arm, which the rap group Wu Tang Clan references in a song. “Yo, I’m the Kid with the Golden Arm!” He also stars in the movie The Five Deadly Venoms, which is also referenced in another Wu Tang Clan song. “The toad style is immensely strong. When used properly, it is almost invincible!” This actor had a tremendous physique. He came to New York City a few years ago to sign autographs and meet fans.
6:15 I like how you paused at the end of an action sequence and not at the middle of an action sequence.
That was great reaction that I love to hear in theatre
I saw one of Bruce Lee's movie in a theatre in Malaysia when I was a kid, Enter The Dragon, people were giving it standing ovation when it ended. Kung fu movies always have this effect in most Asian countries, the closest western movie reaction I had experienced this was after the Avengers movie.
What’s amazing is that it’s not bad until he rolls up them sleeves!!
The first master could smash the karate dude easily if the stage was bigger and less slippery
stop💀
Bruh 😭 sure dude
🤣🤣🤣
He got his ass handed to him the first 2 seconds of contact with the karate dude.
You have to watch the whole movie. You can get emotional from watching the movie establish the villain and the hero standing up to the villain, but it’s even more dramatic if you watch the whole movie. The buildup makes it more dramatic, and the buildup is worth it when you experience the movie in its entirety in all its glory.
I see you guys react to Ip Man, I click!!!!
Dude says people to throw away their sensitive blanket if they’re upset he is getting on racist characters. He’s the one getting bent out of shape over a fictional character who is written as racist. 😂 I just found that “sensitive blanket” comment to be ironic. That is actually a compliment to the actor because he made it so real for you that you had a visceral reaction like it was real.
That being said, I like this reaction video and I like your flavor in reacting and commenting. And I like how y’all don’t edit out the mistakes. That makes you real and not scripted.
The 1st chinese guy who fought is Lo Mang.
When he was young he acted in a long of kung fu movies like, kid with the golden arm, attack of the venoms, five element ninjas.
When he was young he had a six pack body.
In case y'all didn't see it in this perspective... 7:22 Ip Man punched him so hard in the face the cut opened up on the opposite side of the face😂🤣
It’s called transference. When your chi is so strong you can damage opposite sides of the body. Ok, I’m full of shit but it sounded legit for a second. 😂
He's not white. He's Chinese. And he's pretty damn good at wing chun.
He is not chinese and he has a youtube channel.
Chris Collins is his real name.
@@shawnsmith2610 his Chinese name is Gao Zin...he looks Asian. If i had to guess his mother is prob Chinese.
He served in the marines.
If you ever saw the 2010 Karate Kid here’s a fun fact: The third master that fights Colin was the lady that was controlling the snake when Dre and Mr. Han were at the temple
Also, the most impressive part of this is that Ip Man was old and dying of cancer in this movie. Imagine if this had been Ip Man in his prime, he would’ve disposed of Frater before he even realized what was going on 🤣
You guys should definitely watch the ending scene “ip man vs the drill sergeant”. And I seen y’all Star Wars video and I would love to see y’all react to Star Wars the old republic cinematic trailers. The game itself is outdated but those cinematics are always fun to watch. Now they do fall in some type of order so keep that in mind. I think it may be 5 or 6 idk off the top of my head. But again I would love to see y’all’s reaction to it and much love and support to y’all channel. Great content.
They did the drill sergeant one here

ZY95 well I’ll be. Thanks!!
@@dustiereagle1655 No prob!
Pink raw meat got me bro lmfao🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful couple and great reaction! IP man is a superhero!
❤️
The first master in the clip is famous Shaw Brothers actor Lo Mang. Check him out in older movies like 5 Deadly Venoms. Great video.
New sub here, love it, keep it up y'all.
🇧🇷 I'm new here on the channel and I loved your react. but unfortunately I can't speak English so I didn't understand. anything you said I love the whole "the grandmaster (ip man)" movie franchise 🖤👊🏻
I love you both reaction, all the way from Guyana 🇬🇾
Actually the body strength is one of reasons, but it's also about their fight strategy.
The second master was elder, he didn't have enough power and body strength. And then he blocked the Karate chop by his arm, which has a lot of bones, so his arm was broken like the stone.
The third master was smarter, she avoided to defend Collins attacks by her arm directly, but Collins was so strong that her attacks were not effective. So she failed.
Finally, Ip Man took the Karate chop by his edge of palm that has more muscle and use his body to reduce the damage. He also attacked Collins fracture like head and throat instead of his body. That's why Ip Man can win this fight.
"They yellow-ed them" HAHAHA
This is also the problem with many ancient martial arts that the technique isn’t the problem but they lack raw power output and heavily rely on vital spot injuries so modern day fighting techniques and weapons pulverise them eg a Kung fu master can defend a knife but not a karambit
when donnie showed im i was like GG collins say goodnight
Pretty much all villains in Ip Man 4 are racist towards the Chinese people.
well I didn't hear any different from my relatives how the time back then was and it was already past 1960 unless like in this movie. And as corona is going on the racism has spiked up again. So it's not really that far from the truth
Nearly all the villains are in the franchise.
The only one that isn't is Frank (Mike Tyson)
Ya Mike Tyson is the exception to this - I actually liked his character, the guy had a lot more honour than most of Ip Man’s opponents despite him being a crime boss.
@@XiangYu94 That's a very good point made
@@XiangYu94 indeed
Everybody gansta until Master Ip steps into the ring
love yall. more vids pls
You have to keep in mind that this is taking place in the 60's or 70's, and he teaches karate at the U.S. army base in China! They think karate is more dominant than kung fu
Love the channel. I thought he meant yellow as in cowards.
Ip man was Bruce Lee’s master so you will hear about Ip man in other movies or with movies with Bruce Lee in them so those are great movies to react to as well it was just some advice and my opinion on it
This scene is SO GOOD
I think you guys didn't understand a thing. The karate guy in the movie is not white, he's japanese. It reflects some racism there was during the japanese domination in china. The movie "fist of fury" with bruce lee talks about that too. Racism has been everywhere and from everyone in the world's history and did not begin 300years ago in the southern states of america...
You should watch the final fight too it’s great when he fights the final guy.
Man please it's a movie.
Welcome to our silent world for years haha.
Also the marine is half white half Japanese. The marine being the karate guy.
Great movie
its kinda funny how donnie took no damage bro gave collin the 1 2 combo then turned it into the 100 200 combo
Your reactions are funny!
Thats a rhyme right there😄1:20
Gang gang gang suprise ! The guy who called them Yellow basterds although looks kinda light he is actually a Chinese actor as well as a Wing Chung master in real life if you look his channel up on UA-cam his got a school in America and he trained the army as well What it is what it is Johnny from London x
HEY thanks for your like but I keep watching cos I'm waiting for a shout out , come on now GANG GANG GANG WHAT IT IS , JOHNNY FROM LONDON ENGLAND I BE LOOKING OUT FOR IT LOL X
I’d recommend Warrior on HBO Max Irish vs Chinese
Mayonnaise : challenge accepted my guy
Just amazing present
Another thing to remember is that Bruce Lee beat him up earlier in the movie, and he doesn't know that Ip Man was Bruce Lee's teacher growing up!
no, that was not the same person
How ya doin, guys? Hope ya'll feelin awesome. 👍👍
Lmao "raw meat"
Nice reaction btw
Nice reaction ❤️☯️
All I have to say is in my opinion the female had the best moves
IP Man is the goat at fighting no cap
That white guy is actually a Wing chun Master.
But that bowl of jello with the red hair
Ip Man the Legend [1893 - 1972]
the reason ip man wins vs the "bad guys" is because they are always proud, and underestimate donnie yen, plus how ip man uses wing chun. He gets inside the opponents guard so they cant unleash their full power, and their style usually doesnt include any grappling techniques. Love the reactions tho :D
Sensitive blanket! lol
Lmao clapping for when the girl gets saved
Please React ip man 4 ending scene
To be fair, historically “yellow” was used to describe cowardice and not necessarily just Asian skin. I don’t think he was intending to be racist since he himself is Asian lol
I tend to agree. And Karate is as much of "yellow skin tone" origin as Kung-Fu, so it makes no sense for the character to use "yellow" as an ethnical trait (unless he's very dumb). I used to know karate practitionners being too proud of their "brute force" style that they see practicionners of less brutal styles as "no real men", etc, so my take is that he thinks that way.
These movies are based on actual events not all are EXACT but at to a certain extent
There's a theory that Wing Chun was founded by his wife. The fighting style he uses.
Underrated channel
❤️❤️❤️
"Know the white, but keep the black." The Tao Te Ching
in 8:00 that kick is the same thing in legend of the fist
Never underestimate your opponent. Many people underestimated me. They didn't make it.. I wasn't trying to fight at all. But they kept on pressing me. I had no choice. I put them in the emergency room. That's why I don't fight . I avoid it best I can.
he is ip man
I have also heard bruce lee got training from ip man
"This white guy" is obviously at least part Asian .. lol Considering the role he acts, practises a fictional Japanese martial art (Okinawan is not a real style) and considering the time this plays in, there's probably a lot of Japanese on Chinese racism mixed in.
Ip man is my favorite
$20.00 bucks says that Ip Man is gonna beat this dude that’s a black belt
We know IP man always win hands down.
Im from India 😃 from tamil nadu😀
Hi 💜
The hilarious thing is that Chris Collins, the dude that plays the racist Karate master is of Asian descent.
Definitely have seen almost every race do some shit like that not just white people but still good reaction keep on doing good work.
MASTER Z: IP MAN LEGACY MOVIE, I BELIEVE IS THE LAST FLIM WITH DONNIE YEN; ALL THE OTHERS ARE SPIN OFF WITH DIFFERENT ACTORS
You need react to IP MAN against 10 black belts
We did that scene already 😊
Please react to The legend is born ip man vs leung bik
Do a reaction video on bruce lee game of death fight between bruce lee and mel novak.
Please react to naruto and sasuke final fight scene
I was reading a lots of martial arts magazines during the late 1960s and early 70s, and I was interested in Yip Man and Bruce Lee. I am so happy the world is taking interest again in Yip Man. Back in the 1970s he was Yip Man. Today he is IP Man. I just wish my parents were alive today to see DVD movies technologies of Bruce Lee and Yip Man.
Quads gang blood
I'm in ❤️ with this gal
😂😂😂
Law sifu is kung fu legend tho.. You guys better watch celestial classic movies.. She's learn a Mantis Style Kung Fu.. His name is Lo Mang.. But in this movie they're make him look so weak ..
You have watched ip man vs collin before
the point of the film is how racist things were in the 60s
As far as the "Yellow bitches" comment, this was set around 1972, this guy and his teacher Geddes are Military who were heavily influenced (negatively) by their time in Vietnam, they don't like Asian people, particularly Chinese and Southeast Asians. Strangely they do seem more tolerant of Japanese as they favor Karate above all other martial styles
You might recognize the female Master, she was the Snake Charmer in Jackie Chan's The Karate Kid
Miyagi can take em all. 😆
❤❤❤❤👍👍
tats ip man bruce lee's master
We have a couple of racists
Whut movie is dis?
Ip man 4
It's a movie but this wasn't uncommon for the time it was set in. Understand this is a loose story about Ip Man's life during several stages of it so there will be some truths (and some over exaggerations) in how it was during this time.
Avoid pause 😊
