Yeah its really getting old. Criticism is important and toxic positivity really sucks. But being overly cynical and hating absolutely everything is arguably so much worse. Takes the fun out of videogames. If you're ever at the point where you hate every game you touch then its time to take a break from gaming and find another hobby for a while. I promise you once you get back into gaming its all going to feel so much better.
@@Zoombeanie132 idk i wouldn't jump to the assumption that the audience of a thoughtful, be it highly demanding and particular, critique centric channel to be overly cynical for the sake of it. it's kinda the thing to do, i wouldn't color it so negatively, especially if you consider you're looking at an amassment of individual criticisms from different people for different specific aspects of whatever is put under the spotlight
I’m playing Bleak Faith atm…I think I’ve finally hit my breaking point with souls likes…I finished the Enotria demo, I’ve beaten like maybe 20 souls likes on top of all Fromsofts games from Demon Souls up, and I just can’t deal with the jank anymore, and half baked ideas, I can’t, it’s not exciting anymore…I’ll just play Sekiro again..for the 10th time…lol
18:54 Rat I know it’s been a meme about you watching Joseph’s ER DLC video but I think you actually need to watch it because that isn’t exactly his problem. He actually clarifies what he feels in that video. Joseph’s issue (I don’t exactly agree with him but..) is not exactly the same as Matthew. Matthew’s issue is that he doesn’t care for the combat at all and values “stranger” boss encounters. There’s a lot of problems I have with those takes especially when it comes to DeS. However it’s not the same as Joseph’s.
techlets (chat) should not be allowed to speak on anything when they accuse games like crimson desert and space marine 2 looking like generic UE5 graphics when they're not even on UE5.
Crimson desert is closest thing I want from the next fromsoftware game. Just with a custom character, more fantastical elements, of course multiplayer, and less hand holding quest design. I want souls games with actual Alive and lived in open worlds that you don’t have to remove your disbelief to believe is real.
@@HuleHulale i have to see how fromsoft tackle a lively settings. Doesn’t necessarily have to be open world setting but imagine being in the middle of war or something
@@HuleHulale elden ring isn’t a dead decaying ruined world and neither is armored core 6 oh wait neither is sekiro… so I guess you hate modern fromsoftware games lol
@@Entertainment-ev6ob The lands between are very much ruined. Their god is imprisoned, there are no large thriving settlements , people driven mad by the inability of a true death, there is madness spreading across the land and there is Godwyn's deathroot spreading as well. It is certainly not a very alive world Not as bad as dark souls but still very fucked up. And I haven't played sekiro so I can't speak on it.
Ratta's chat trying not to hate everything challenge. "impossible"

Stalker 2 looks amazing all things considered

When are you going to finally check out gothic? 😭

Black Desert has fantastic world building and great music. Phenomenal graphics. Too bad the gameplay is predatory and repetitive.

Cool idea
@@Entertainment-ev6ob Nah dead/decaying/ruined worlds are more interesting imo.
You want a thriving world, play literally any other open world game
